ITT: We describe the modern world as if it were a civilization game

>United States and Russia are friendly following years of denouncing each other
>Syria is currently the most unhappy civilization, around -100 happy points
>Russia and Syria are allies, Russia keeps sending troops to help Syria suppress rebels
>United States denounces Syria, Russia contacts the United States to tell them to leave their allies alone
>Russia stole one of United States's spies

Civilization is trash, it's all about EU4

...

I love Civ6
whats wrong with me,Sup Forums?

>tfw no ck 2

Civ 6 is a pile of shit

CK2 is a whole other level bro, that shit is for people with 300+ IQs

Agree britbro

You kidding? CK2 is babby-tier grand strategy.

CK2 is perhaps the easiest of all Paradox games. No idea what you're talking about. Unless thatsthejoke.jpg

really i thought it got pretty repetitive once you reached empire level, unless you love roleplaying which i do but it still got uninteresting after a bit

Only thing I hate about (((paradox))) is their DLC for updates.

Goddamn it.

>I wanted to recreate a hellenistic Roman Empire
>You can only reform Byzantine Empire into Roman if you're orthodox
>Hellenistic religion has zero mechanics

Fuck off Paradox.

civ 5 u mean budget EU4? hell even endless legend is better

easiest? once you get big enough there is no challenge in EU4, in CK2 if you die in wrong moment you can get totally fuck up civil wars

Well fuck all of you; I'm not a 4X type of gamer anyway. I'm an RPG kind of guy.

play EU4 with extended timeline, the roman empire starts are hellenic

>Somalia has just entered the Iron Age!

CK2 is fucking simple, its almost as simple as hearts of iron 4.

i played a game from earliest to latest date and this didn't happen once, all you have to do is make sure your main title isn't elective and you're good to go

chess is also simple

Don't really like extended timeline, played it a few times.

...

t. 70 iq civilization player

Actually primogeniture/ultimogeniture can fuck you much more since you can inherit as 3 years old child and be locked for 12 years with regent with shitty stats

If you dont have problem with civil wars I suggest you buy Conclave DLC

>Somalia has just entered the Iron Age!
>Iron Age
>Not Golden Age (of Piracy)

Or you could just play any total war game besides shithammer

t. Prussian main

Chess is more of a game then hearts of iron 4 aka draw line simulator. CK2 is just barely more of a game then that.

>Playing as RUS in 800 AD
>Convert to german paganism
>Start hoarding titles, fuck gavelkind
>Reform the religion but everytime a character dies the kingdoms split up
>Eventually manage to form an empire tier title
>Give away all the kingdom titles to relatives, they have +5 because of same dinasty
>My family size reaches 4800 people by the end of the game with complete purge of catholic religion and muslims
>MFW

>I suggest you buy Conclave DLC
>buy
>DLC

paradox shill spotted

more of a great britain player

Oh yeah better play game where one unit of soldiers need so much space as one city!

Dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnn

>having to use tactics to capture a city
sorry if that is too complicated

Best succession laws are:
Gavelkind (when you stabilize to one empire title)
Muslim succession (possibility to have up to 10 kids and pick the best of the bunch)

Germany accumulated enough culture to advance their policy tree "diversity."

At the most recent UN conference, Germany attempted to enact a law to ban denouncing.

A truer meme could not be crafted

>Korea has completed the Manhattan project
>America has declared war on Korea!
>endless DOW announcements from Americas city state allies
>Russia has denounced America
>China has denounced America

>tactics being CLICKING ON IT

*clicks unit*
*clicks city*

I AM MASTER TACTICIAN

And then you'll just conquer it back in 20 years. It's incredibly easy to blob in that game

>Ghandi is pissed
>DOW and ICBM launch

then how do you do it

>canada's unique ability is if you defeat us we win and +1 population for each third world country you have allied
>unique building is there is none
>unique unit is gay pride mountee

If you want to use tactics to capture city go play total war or something, by saying civ sieges need brain u only sound like bigger retard
>im gonna put melee unit everywhere in middle circle and siege units in outer circle
>wow i must be Rommels reincarnation!

...

There are no tactics in HOI4, it's a strategy game. The total wars have a tactic game

Civ 4 was the last good Civ game.

Civ IV is the best in the series.

>i've only ever played on warlord (easy) difficulty

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
CIV IS THE BEST GAME EVER MADE KYS

Its easy to gain land i agree on that but its challenge to maintain it as stable realm

also if u think game is easy try playing other religion than chist/muslim
Zoroastrians or reforming pagans can be pretty hard

Wait are you arguing for CIV having tactics? Lol, civ has even less tactics than HOI4 not to mention less strategy.

b-but i have to "position" my "troops" !

>not bombing the shit out of them and stealing the city with a lone destroyer/paratrooper and then using your massive wealth to purchase reinforcements in your newly acquired city

anyone wanna play aoe2 with me?

>what is city placement
>what is defensive buildings
>what is unit placement
>what is support unit placement
>what is great people usage
>what is civ bonuses
>what is diplomacy
>what is unit type
>what is unit weaknesses/strengths
>what is government type
>what is government type bonuses
>what is city state diplomacy
>what are districts
oh no, you just rush a city with sword men, thats it

Playing pagans is easy mode m8. Holy wars are endless.

>oh no, you just rush a city with sword men, thats it
A valid tactic in the early game. Unless you're in a multiplayer game.

>2017
>Still playing VIDEO games

Plebs.
Get on my level.

not anymore, they buffed city defenses in civ 6.
You will lose unless you have huge numbers

>he plays civ 6
fucking pleb

>tensions raise between Pakistan and India

well cities are weak ass fuck in civ 5

Nah it's not hard, it's pretty easy infact if you know the basics. I can make any country to an empire in like ~100 years

I actually think Civ 6 is a major improvement. I can't wait for expansions and quality mods.

Civ 6 is shit Civ has gone down hill.

>100 years
Pleb. 5 years is all it takes.

the AI is the only problem right now imo

>he plays civ 5 instead of civ 4

I tried, I really did. Some day I will go back and try out some of the mods for it.

>he plays civ iv instead of alpha centauri

>Ireland tries to go for tourism victory
>Loses all its citizens in the process
>Prays that immigration gets added in the patch notes at some point w/ emigrants as added cultural pressure

>playing Crusader Cucks 2 unironically

I hope you people are kidding.Even Stellaris is more high T than this game.

How's your mom's basement?
>I say this as I post from my uncles basement
I should kill myself actually

Stellaris is shit tier like Hearts of Iron IV

This. Total war is pretty cool.

>>what is unit placement
>>what is support unit placement
This is the only thing you said with constitutes tactics m8. And that's a bit of a stretch.

better than cuck simulator 2

What if i told you we are a grand strategy game

I think the Vox Populi mod has that as an option, cities with high unhappiness can defect to the player with the highest tourism or something like that.

well then you're wrong

>autistic screeching

There basically the same game one just has a space skin and less features.

Ck2 is simple but is also the best

Do you know the difference between tactics and strategy?

no
original V was pile of shit (fixed with GaK)
VI aspires to be a pile shit with enough patches and expansions some day

>Stellaris: enslavement and genocide
>Ck2: Capturing african princes to fuck your wife

Stellaris is more like EU4

Life is the best comedy

I just can't finish civ 6

I haven't been able to get past the Renaissance because it feels like so much more of a slog than civ 5, and I can't explain why.

Does anybody have any theories or similar feeling to this?

Slide thread.

explain how things like diplomacy and city positioning are not part of military tactics

Threads like this on the front page tells me there's nothing interesting happening in the world.

What wrong with it? Was looking forward to getting it when the expansions are out.

>being such faggots

>not being able to afford games

What makes you think every brazilian is poor?

You live in Brazil.
