He got slighlty more popular after Obama sanctioned Russia over the annexation of Crimea. There are plenty of pro western and pro eastern people and when west offended us, while China offered us a helping hand, Dugin popularity got boosted. Not to mention that Turkey also was the only NATO country that refused to obey and did not sanction us.

Ok by now I think third party trolls are fucking with us for fun not just ptg butthurt Relax and report if they are just discussing trump
Nathan Flores
Fuck off with the baseless accusations. No one liked /sg/ because we liked Assad, but because it was about muslims killing muslims, and it was fun. People didn't give a shit about Assad or rebels or ISIS. It was pure entertainment. Obviously people were rooting for Assad, but outside of /sg/ he can go fuck himself.
Also Trump picked Pence as VP. Pence said clearly that he wants Assad gone. Guess what, /old_pol/ still voted / supported Trump, and Trump still became president. You're waisting your shilling effort on attacking Trump, but he will still be president, and will get 2 terms.

Can you give me a quick rundown on the SDF? I'm not really sure what to think of them. Being Christian, and knowing that a lot of the Assyrian Christian militias are involved makes me think they might be decent, but in practice they seem to just be FSA: Ethnic Minority edition. Well, slightly better than that, but you get the idea. "Democratic" is a pretty big red flag.

So guys how is the buffer zone around Palmyra looking now? Think it will hold against any future Al-Rommeli offensives this time? That's if ISIS even has the ability to carry out another offensive like that again.
That documentary made me sad Tbh. But their one on London is fucking shit. They keep showing stock footage of fucking Edinburgh lol.
Strategically whats the next move for Gov't forces, Palmyra is liberated but it's not like they can storm out on a path towards Deir-ez-Zor without over stretching

Fuck OFF. /pol has always been pro Trump. There is no treason. I repeat. NO TREASON. We supported him to become president even though we knew he will attack Syria. He nominated Mike Pence as VP for Christ sake. We knew he would attack Syria. And we still supported him. I don't have anything relevant though. and he's right there is no real point in this thread for them. It was an off topic tangent.
I have a question I guess: How do people figure that Trumps missile strike helped him in appearance to China? It doesn't seem like they would give a shit about this. Naught to do with them.

Yeah I understand that, but I was hoping some people saw that they were both the same shit. The pro-Assad Arab media for example wanted Trump to win because they saw him as a more clear enemy than Hilary (who would smile and kill you in your sleep).

>How do people figure that Trumps missile strike helped him in appearance to China? Probably not that great The Chinese were supposedly pissed off about Trump grandstanding
From a geopolitical viewpoint, the Chinese don't want that kind of unstable US where in the space of 24 hours foreign policy is completely changed Based off info coming out of the meeting with the Chinese, it sounds like nothing got accomplished, simply the same platitudes that always get spouted

They are basically the YPG with a bunch of recruits from other ethnic groups like Arabs and Assyrians (Christians).
The YPG/YPJ have a socialist ideology that's a mix of anarchism, communism and feminism.
They receive most of their support from the USA but they also have old links with Russia and probably Iran.

what did he mean by this?

Actually 80% of people were like "Trump will change nothing at all but whatever he is going to do Hillary would do worse" Some people were just happy US will get divided because of that. Few people actually believed we will get along, russians have a tradition to always expect the worst possible scenario.

Basically a US proxy claiming theyre Syrian kurds with Arab tribes, no one has seen any evidence of them being anything other than kurds from Syria and outside its borders (Turkey) with American troops with them the whole time.
Theyre part of Obama's plan to divide Syria, without the Americans theyre the weakest side and are completely useless soldiers. The Americans are pretending theyre bigger than they are to divide Syria. Most Syrian kurds dont want any federation or anything to do with them.
President Assad sees them as a force fighting ISIS but has stated that they have to throw their arms and be normal Syrians after this is over. He will not give them anything unless the US forces it with boots on the ground (not this plane bombing stuff).

He's gauging how far he can go before they turn on him. Apparently he can go as far as he wants and they'll keep cheering for zionist propaganda.

Supposedly the military is trying to push deploying special forces inside North Korea to destroy missile sites and testing facilities since strikes like the ones in Syria will result in Nork retaliation against Sork bases

Probably because they are a US proxy. Having watched the siege of Kobani day by day I still have a soft spot for them. It's a shame they will be pumped and dumped by the Pentagon when this is all over. Kurds have no friends but the mountains.
Tyler Foster
FYI that fun in the lower left on the prior post as a Galil. JEW GUN! RUN, YOU FUCKING KEKS!!!
David Russell
I feel like it was justified, personally, as a political move. IMO, it was essentially putting his money where his political opponents mouths are. And everyone hated it. I mean, he has a public approval rating of 35%, he's essentially putting his opponents positions against his unpopularity in the media, while not really damaging Syria or Russia's agenda much at all.
Now everyone is crying "WW3" and pissed off, and all anyone has to do is point out that this is what they were asking for every time they supported the white helmets or the "rebels". That their party leaders were asking for this, and again: doesn't really seem like it's going to happen imo. I think it was more a warning shot to warmongers. I hope.
I think it also served to get the Russia narrative killed.
I'm not the greatest when it come to political chess, but I really don't think Trump is this stupid, or this two dimensional to do it for the "beautiful babies"...
Liam Gutierrez
Proofs? They were being defended by Syrian army from the Turks.
