How do we go about doing this? I've put some thought into it because I think we can really drive a message along the lines of:
"Illinois pays one of the highest state tax rates in the Union. What do we have to show for it? Do we have expensive and large infrastructure projects? No. Do we have incredible assistance programs? No. All we have to show for our incredible tax burdens are kick backs for the politically connected. Illinois has both the highest tax burden as well as being notoriously the most corrupt and these things two things are completely related. We have to stop the graft so we can let our people keep more of their hard earned money. Neither republicans nor democrats are exempt from this, they both have shown a long history of morbid corruption and neither will ever bother to address it."
I think we need to start trying to drive up support now, and make it known to the Libertarian Party in IL to attract a strong candidate.

Libertarian society does not preclude the idea of contracts.
It would, instead, become financially infeasible to try and operate as someone who plays fast and loose with someone else. Corporations would not be able to guarantee that investors would be financially insulated from any risk associated with owning part of the company, and criminals would instead be stuck working off the value of whatever they, say, happened to steal. The problem is that this would most likely lead to a situation where by humans all live in some version of a gated community. Think of modern trends in the US where people demand to live in a community that perfectly reflects their values, and give it crack.
You can make use of something without agreeing with the underlying principals it represents. Otherwise you're suggesting prisoners who consume prison provided food agree with their prison sentences, or that every tax paying citizen agrees with any war the government is involved in. In the case of roads, you don't really have a choice; failure to pay taxes would obliterate your credit score and the IRS has the right to completely ass ram you for it too. You may make use of them, and pay for them, but it doesn't mean you have to like the system.
Phones on the other hand? You have a right to some leeway. Buy an older, used phone, use your phone well past the point where you cellphone company tries to get you to step up to the latest model.
...and the enforcement of contracts. Libertarian states recognize the need for government but refuse to allow any organ of it to be remotely corruptible.
