It's maréchal Pétain, the general that won the battle of Verdun, considered until de Gaulle took over as a war hero and the savior of France. He was appointed head of state just after Germany took over Paris in 1940 and signed peace with Hitler. He started some kind of a fascist regime that wanted to transform the statute of defeated in a true reliable ally of Germany so they collaborated heavily with the nazis. The society was to return to the traditional values of work, family and fatherland (the official motto of the régime), against banks, socialism and capitalism, and restored things like a modernized version of guilds instead of trade unions. In the meantime they didn't know if trying to be allied with Germany would work so they started to rearm secretly but weren't ready when Germany took over the free zone so they didn't resist and Germany discovered a shit ton of weapons and tanks they used after that. Germany didn't trust Vichy France, they thought the regime would betray them at some point and was maybe working with de Gaulle so they arrested every ministers and put them in custody in a castle in Germany. After the liberation they were treated as traitors and sentenced to death (except for Pétain that was sentenced to die in prison thanks to de Gaulle, they worked together in the army for a long time)

We don't have distinctive politicians in Russia, tbhwy. Effectively, there're 4 parties in the Parliament which are the same: they rarely have disagreements on anything. For example, only one of all the MPs voted against accession of Crimea to Russia, meanwhile it had been a controversial issue for many before the propaganda machine went full steam. As to far right, it's largely represented by the skinheads, so everything related to it, is automatically discarded. The only vocal national socialist is a clown desu. His name is Vyacheslav Maltcev, during the debates on national TV he called for Putin's impeachment, and that's it. His running for a place in Parliament, I think, was just an ad for his YouTube channel.
