United Air violently removes passenger from flight due to "overbooking". $400 was offered for volunteers to give up seats (4 were needed) but no takers. The guy removed was a MD heading to Louisville KY to see patients. He was really beat up, bloodied. $$$ lawsuits imminent..

Failure to comply with a request from security, even a request which would violate the passenger's rights if the customer complied, gives security the right to remove the customer without violating their rights.

...

Holy shit, fuck that airlines

>asian not getting up to give his seat to a white passsenger

remove gooks

Why didn't he just get off the plane? It's not his plane. It's not that big a deal to catch another flight. Why end up acting like Hillary Clinton when she lost the election?

How does that boot taste?

Video here: youtube.com/watch?v=kgdjQvdNThk&ab_channel=XENUK

>to see patients
I read elsewhere he was going to see family. Either way I'm pretty sure he can sue unless there is some fine print that you agree when buying tickets that this could happen due to this "overbooking" thing they do. I've never been on a plane so I don't know if their are terms you sign/agree to when flying.

It's his fault for standing in the way of the free market. United is just trying to make a profit.

I've been flying several times. Not all flights have terms to agree to but some do

You must be a big civil liberties, free market fan with an atti... hey wait...

He is a doctor and had patients to see in the morning, so he couldn't leave. They were trying to kick him off the last flight of the day.

People must think that if you resist arrest for 5 minutes you get to go free. vid related.

youtube.com/watch?v=t-32-m0_-Sg

If you lick the boot long enough you'll get used to the taste. Regardless the doctor has a great case for a lawsuit and United just fucked their public relations royally.

He's a doctor who was seeing patients at a hospital the next day. United have fucked themselves royally on this one.

The doctor also has a concussion and possible brain damage. Which really isnt good when you work in the medical industry.

>being this shortsighted

>Employees needed to be on the plane for whatever reason to go to Louisville from Chicago
>Flight was delayed two hours
>All the arguing and bargaining probably took an hour
>3 hours of time wasted when driving from Chicago to Louisville takes 4 hours
>Employees would've been in Louisville if they took a bus instead of beating up old asian men

Cannot wait to see how consistently you hold these values when they come for you.

hoping 5chin finds the name of the Marshall on the powertrip

which is even better for all the suing he's going to do

Sounds like he was one of the last people to buy the flight or purchased through a third party site. Even if they are wrong you fight them with legal action or getting other compensation, not being a little fucking bitch and not complying.

I would have taken the $800 and free hotel/air ticket

No one who desperately needs to be somewhere would be taking commercial airliners.

At least my wackjob professor will be happy about this

untied.com

This is why foreign airliners are way better than domestic. Try to compare Korean Air to United Airlines or even American Airlines. You can't.

Airliners in the US are trash and they forced the retirement of this man. Fuck them and I hope the guy has his day in civil court.

>burger would take orders from nigs
kys

>come for you
if I had a warrant i would turn myself in.

I believe he had a patient in Louisville that he really needed to see the next morning

>hotair.com
seems legit

What would they be taking instead?

Before this was Sup Forums my and my wife seen it on the news and our very first thought was "what a douche bag"

When you are told "get up, you arent flying with us today" and instead you sit there like a little kid saying "but I dont wana"... you dont get to complain when your head gets bounced off a wall or 2.

it's not $800 cash, it's $800 credit for shitty flights.
and he'ss a doctor, $800 even as real cash is not worth losing his patients

He fucking paid for the ticket.

Since you're retarded, I'll try and simplify this for you:
>doctor with patients
>had to see a patient in another state
>bought ticket to do just that
>"well sir, we're full so you're fucked"
>proceed to get ass beat by security

So where's the fairness there?

>that face when you get pulled over by a cop car
>that face when he gets two more cars as backup
>that face when you had a bench warrant and wasn't notified
>that face when your kids miss dinner because you got arrested coming home with McDollar burgers
>that face when it was over a traffic ticket you can't afford
>that face when you hate cops and the law for the rest of your life.

There isn't some magic way of letting you know and it's not everyday people search for their own citations/warrants like that.the law is arbitrary and violent.

Charter flight / car. Commercial airline travel is convenient, not dependable.

this happens in australia too, but here they don't talk to you for a long time to try and get you to go cooperatively, they go

>yeah mate you need to get off the flight
>mate get off the flight
then three big guys come down, one takes your seatbelt off, one grabs your legs, and one grabs your shoulders. they drag you out, then once you get off the plane they charge you with trespassing, and assault if you so much as scratch someone.

stop it with the sovereign citizen bullshit. you have it good in america.

How the fuck is this overbooking nonsense even legal?

I told a cop about a traffic violation one time. Take up two parking spots and you should get a ticket. Can't afford it? Well then maybe not be a dick.

Cars are slow and charter flights are expensive. Most people can't afford chartering on a regular basis. Also, driving far would mean he would be losing sleep and most likely unable to function when he reached his destination.

I wonder if they racially profiled him and since he is Asian the chances are higher for him to be deported...

it's the free market at work, it's beautiful
shut the fuck up

>being so much of a nog that you get massive ticket fine
Quit breaking the law, asshole
And if you can't afford a cheap ticket, why the duck are you buying mcdongus

>Make them give you free flight, food, and stay
>You're dumb enough to see that as giving in

space between seats is also decreasing, there was a guy trying to get a law on minimum distance between seats, don't think he got anywhere.

It's a fucking airline, they can afford drivers and vehicles with beds.

So who does the plane belong to?

not everyone's time is worth the same, commie

Sounds like he paid the least for his fare, so they tried to fuck him instead of a higher paying customer.

I don't get it. 4 Seats were needed for who? Why didn't they tell the people that came in late to GTFO and get another plane instead of throwing people out that are already seated?

>that face when

didnt read the rest

We're not talking about a charter flight being offered as compensation. user clearly meant the customer should have chartered instead originally, which is fucking stupid.

A FIVE-HOUR DRIVE!!!

>making assumptions

It was for a tag sticker I couldn't afford. I think it was over a hundred dollars just for a sticker tag renewal so a cop ran someone off the road like I was murder suspect to get some of his tacti-cool buddies to assist him giving me some freedom(tm).

Dick was proud in the car he arrested a struggling poor parent for a fucking car tag nonpayment. Hope people realize cops are just well... goons for city hall.

crew members for another flight
>don't ask
>burger airlines operate like a fucking night club

If I'm not mistaken, a TBI in the medical industry pretty much sidelines any doctor no matter what. They've forced this man into retirement.

True, it does seem a little excessive to take a flight that is such a short one even with alternative methods of transportation but people are lazy and think "OH COOL AN AIRPLANE".

When I was terminated from my job, I was escorted out. I had three bosses, one was a complete dick, and he had me escorted out of the building because he didn't trust me enough not to harm him. Usually, they give you your final check that day but I had to fucking wait even though I wasn't told if I were allowed back into that business.

flight attendants.

for 4 united jews that needed to be there so badly the company didn't bother to reserve their seats.

The shareholders

Then why arent people getting mad at the worthless scum that didn't get off? Did he not make his case? Does no one understand you can get free shit from them when this happens? Why is everyone so self important.

Shit, I've had a longer fucking drive than that when I was in high school ~ 10 years ago

And they only notice this after seating the people on the plane? Like there is no way of counting people at check-in and then boarding.

What is your argument if you even have one?

because as far as we know everyone in that plane paid for their fucking tickets. it's not people's fault the company can't count

No doctor screams, yells, and dresses like that. He might be a quack, but more likely an autist.

Why would they allow a man to board before throwing him out of the plane?

Yeah car tags are a bitch. Odd that you actually got arrested for it. Usually i hear you just get a ticket. What state do you live in? In wi it's only $75
>only

This.

Or he was intoxicated.

>Lawsuits in coming
Good. A company should have to act like fucking niggers and get away with it.

> Customer Service is our No. 1 goal.

You're missing the point. Life is unfair sometimes. You might get kicked off a plane because it is overbooked. You might not get a hotel room because the hotel is oversold. You might be the one guy who gets a speeding ticket and yet you see other people speeding by all the time.

Throwing a temper tantrum doesn't help you, whether you're told to get off a plane, or stopped by the police, or told to get out of a bar, or told to leave a hotel. You might not think it's fair, but that stuff happens. It's part of life. You just have to be able to act with a little dignity in situations that you perceive are unfair.

yes, sane airlines do that
united airlines isn't one of them
seriously, google 'united airlines' news and click random page numbers
it's quite entertaining

There's no way they can't get volunteers to leave the flight if they really wanted to. Every time I've been on an overbooked flight they just offer better and better compensation until someone's willing to give up their seat.

Top kek

Applicable.

youtube.com/watch?v=4T2GmGSNvaM

You obviously cannot fucking read. Passengers were told at the gate that the flight was overbooked and United, offering $400 and a hotel stay, was looking for one volunteer to take another flight to Louisville at 3 p.m. Monday. Passengers were allowed to board the flight, Bridges said, and once the flight was filled those on the plane were told that four people needed to give up their seats to stand-by United employees that needed to be in Louisville on Monday for a flight. Passengers were told that the flight would not take off until the United crew had seats, Bridges said, and the offer was increased to $800, but no one volunteered.

Do you feel any less retarded? I guess not.

Definitely.

It would have been if it was an unilateral request AND for security reason, they were offered compensation for it and there was the endangerment of a passanger's well-being for no real reason.
There's not even a shred of hope it would hold in court
It's a straight up settlement RIGHT NOW, because if this goes to court that's millions of dollars down the drain or worse

Wtf I love being a statist cuck now.

lmao

> americans
so fucking retarded

feel bad for that doctor

There's a memeball in this somewhere.

United fucked up and miscounted. Their employees didn't even need to be on this plane, they could have gotten on another one and been fine.

Instead of calling someone to throw the guy out, they should have offered more and more incentives for those who might end up volunteering. What's 2000 dollars and a hotel stay compared to the amount of money they might lose now because of this PR disaster? Not only did you use a randomizer to kick out people, but the one guy the cops rough up is a fucking doctor that had patients he needed to see the next day?

United brewed up a cocktail and it blow up in their face, I don't have any pity for them in this situation.

This. I got a similar idea one time with Delta and the credits are very limited in use and can't be combined if the credits are seperared

This is like the yugest PR fuck up every. Rip United

Lotta loyalty for a hired ticket

Would they have just booked him another flight if he'd comply? What's the big deal? I would have been cool with it. Just book me a new flight and give me a gift card to some restaurant for me and family or something.

even if it was 10'000$ in credit with united, nobody would have taken the deal anyway
Since they wouldn't offer cash, they literally have no leverage, a million dollar credit with the company is worth nothing if you're using scumbag tactics and kick out passengers from planes for your own bad judgement

United Airlines Internet Defense Force.

I've seen it all now.

This is a breach of contract and a violation of the NAP. Expect termination.

I was booted from an overbooked airline when I was a teenager, before there was cellphones. They told me I'd have to take a bus as the next flight wasn't for a long time.

I raised a scene and fortunately someone gave up their seat.

This shit shouldn't still be happening in 2017.

Fuck United Airlines.

I laugh at the stupid ass libertarian that say companies can self govern themselves.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH SURE THEY CAN

>but the one guy the cops rough up is a fucking doctor that had patients he needed to see the next day?

I'd bet my bottom dollar he's just a PCP or dermatologist or something. We all have things we need to do every day. If you watch the video and how he's acting, he's clearly milking it like a nigger so he can sue later.

I would have gladly gotten up for 800 cash and free rental car to make the 5 HOUR DRIVE TO FUCKING SHITTY LOUISVILLE!!!

Ok satan.

Hey baby, give me like 5 dollars and I can be your internet defence force for a day

>muh free market.
>calling me out on my shitty practices violates the nap so I'm calling in the nanny state.

Really makes you think.

Honestly, I wish I was in his position. He could make a shit load of money off that.

Dude, you're the guy who said that he was fired from a previous job, and escorted out of the building. And yet you blamed your former boss for that.

That should indicate that you're the one with the problem. And to take a news story like this so seriously? Dude, chill out, get some counseling.

You see, they are not going to be coming for me since I'm a white American christian.

Jews, muslims, faggots, they all get off the damn plane

>Be a dirty economy class peasant
>Airlines literally paying half of your flight costs so that you can fly around the globe
>Airlines not even breaking a profit by taking you on board
>They say they don't want you flying
>Complain and say "fuck you then, I'm not giving you any more money"
>They all smile ironically
