Is there a conspiracy behind rock music becoming basically entirely removed from the mainstream?

Is there a conspiracy behind rock music becoming basically entirely removed from the mainstream?

I am aware that there are still good rock bands going, but the mid 2000s seem to be the last time it was popular with adolescents in a big way.

any music that's "too white" is just removed.

...

There is a conspiracy in the digitalisation of music and moving away from actual instruments.

Seems like the only 'rock bands' allowed right now are basically beige 'indie' bands, which can barely be considered rock music at all..

I'm not saying all rock music in the mid 2000s was the height of an art but it was popular at the time at least, and some of those bands are still good today.

It's not so much a conspiracy, but more like rock has gotten really stale. Guitar music is basically dead and everything has already been done.

All the white kids are making EDM now.
Give it like 20 years and you might see a rock revival though.

I think its just easier to use computers to make music than it is to use instruments to make music. Unfortunately though that means a lot of crappy autotune and noises of n64s being lobotomized.

There's only so much you can do with guitars and a set of drums, and all the good rock music made these days is just copying what already came out decades ago.

social media exacerbated the boy band and nigger problem.

There's no conspiracy retard
Music get old and replaced
Just like classical was replaced
Just like blues was replaced
People don't wanna live with other people's music, they want their own
People change, music change.

there definitely is a conspiracy

Rock muted the drummer. People muted rock.

People wanna dance. You can't dance to radiohead.

I dont think a conspiracy, just that people have gotten exponentially lazier.

>you can't dance to Radiohead

>he never raged to Idioteque
What a pleb.

That can be attributed to the death of Kurt Cobain. He was the last Rockstar. Image is what's most important in popular music. When he died, a power vacuum opened. Bands like Limp Bizkit, Nickelback, Seether, etc. showed up trying to fill the role. It collapsed and the migration to modern popular music.

I noticed this too

listening to current pop music I'm never sure if I'm listening to a joke or if I'm just already too old to appreciate it, it just sounds like a poorly executed parody all over

rock stations were replaced mid 2000s with top 40 trash only few remain on shitty frequencies with low ranges that barely reach anybody

>worked at krock

this with the exception of country music, which has such an autistic following that even cultural Marxism and Jewish trickery can't remove it

Change for the sake of change is not a good thing.

>Muted the drummer

how so?

>rage

See, that's why cuck porn exists.

The Rolling Stones playerd to millions in Rio a couple of years ago. Most pop bands can't fill a stadium. There is def a big push to remove rock from mainstream

No but there was/is still a conspiracy started in the 1960's that British and American intelligence co-opted early rock and roll to help kickstart the record companies, thus furthering (((((((their))))))) influence and control.

Fuck the Beatles, fuck the Who and fuck the Grateful Dead. All intelligence, all complete trite garbage.

Yes, it has purposefully been replaced by nigger music in the mainstream, to make inferior negros attractive to white women. Also to make negros gay, and dress better.

Jews have an agenda they like to push but in the end shekels talk.
If there were genuinely rock bands who had mass appeal they would promote them.
Arcade Fire is too hipster and Metallica is too "extreme."
So they're left with boring and unthreatening shit like Imagine Dragons to promote.

I think Marilyn Manson was the last true rock star. The difference is that it didn't take very long for people to get sick of Manson's shtick. Then Eminem happened.

>That can be attributed to the death of Kurt Cobain. He was the last Rockstar.

Guitars, screaming, drowned out any discernible driving rhythm from rock music, so you can't dance to it even if you can get past the whiney lyrics because 95% of singers are male and all they know is tragedy.

No, you're just becoming older and the music you used to like is being replaced by music you think is shit. And like everyone since the beginning of history, you're shaking your head and saying "what the fuck is happening to music?" I'm sure your dead said the same thing when he heard System of a Down come out. But Sup Forums poisoned your mind so much you think it's a conspiracy.

A lot of new rock sucks balls. Same as new metal.

>tfw HIM broke up

>Contemporary country music
Sounds like pop music with southern accents.

Oh and the Doors. Fuck them as well. Look at who Morrisons dad was and what he managed to accomplish.

Hint: Gulf of Tonkin

the jews push whatever makes money

This.

With the mainstream verse/chorus format, you can't really do anything novel with guitars. So the majority of white folks in the mainstream will be in EDM (takes lots of skill) or pussy hipster bands (takes less skill but also on its way out).

Rap will continue to be popular because chimps cannot possibly get bored of it.

No conspiracy here.

Kurt Cobain was a degenerate drug addict and probably the most overrated human who ever lived.
Ask me how I know you're 14.

well I'm enjoying the decline

the jungle beats ain't too bad.

>Morrison
You mean Rush Limbaugh?

Rock music has waned in popularity the same way Swing or Blues did. Every genre of music is essentially by definition a fad

"music" today has almost no artistic value. its manufactured crap, that promotes degeneracy, for mentally retarded people. rap is the worst.

White music? As opposed to what?

Hip hop for nigs? The white girl singer/nigger rapper duo is falling out of fashion.

What do other races even make?

Charts are constantly being dominated by edm, girly feel-good songs and ed sheeran, and unless you consider Irish non-white, I fail to see the conspiracy

If you think that world needs more rock, go and make some. But nobody wants it.

Theres no conspiracy behind it, the rock of the 2000s replaced grunge, happy go lucky shit, and the alternative music that dominated the 90s. Meanwhile those types replaced new wave and shit like that. Rock replaced big band music and shit like that beforehand, its just the cycle. Its now been replaced by rap which has been replaced by neo-rap (not a nigger but its easy to see the decline between tupac and any modern nigger like kodak or some shit). Music evolves with culture, and culture has become much more open when concerning promiscuity and drug use.

Keep in mind though, rock isn't "white" music. Its roots are from nigger music where it was then popularized by white groups, kind of like rap with eminem and shit like that. Rock isn't as degenerate as rap, but its still always been quite degenerate. Thats why christian groups in america hated it so much at the time.

Rock sucks. Any other questions before this thread closes?

>There is a conspiracy in the digitalisation of music and moving away from actual instruments.

This

Seems to me country music is getting more popular now. Maybe that's where guitar music is going for a while.

Why are you on Sup Forums if it "poisons your mind?"

I lost my virginity and played HIM in the background fuck when did this happen?

We've had some decent stuff get on the radio in the last decade it just hasn't been enough. Five finger death punch got very popular. Maybe highly suspect. Plus in rock the good bands stick around way longer than with pop.

Here, this concert list sums up for the most part who is still popular.

northerninvasion.com

no conspiracy. music is made/marketed for people who buy it (women/teenagers)

That's a good point, but I don't think he was ever quite as ubiquitous as Nirvana was.
>implying Grohl has anything on Kurt

This has literally nothing to do with anything I said.

Le Wrong Generation fallacy. You realize that's what Sinatra said about the Beatles right? You realize that's what has basically been said about every genre of music in history at some point right?

Music changes.

last albums sucked in comparison to early him

last month, i grew up with them ç____ç

fuse.tv/2017/03/him-band-break-up-after-26-years-farewell-tour-dates

A migration by the young into densely populated urban areas drove rents up. A band renting 'practice space' just can't happen anymore.
Electronic music can be made by a single dude in an apartment with headphones.
Expensive real estate killed rock.

people liking kangye west is a fuckin conspiracy, i'll tell you what. there's no way you can honestly tell me that his music is good. i'm convinced there's some sort of brainwashing going on with that guy

I've found a lot of country on spotify outside the mainstream that has more rock influence. White people might be fusing their two kinds of popular culture music together. I like some of it myself though I didn't used to.

Country music is weird because of how segregated it is from other genres. Do people outside the US even listen to it? Or is what you call Country different from what we call Country?

When will Sup Forums take the trancepill?
All of the DJs are white, all the fans are white.
Blacks can't understand it because the subject matter is things like true love and friendship, concepts that are foreign to them.

Take a look at what kind of people post on Sup Forums and you'll understand. People are genuinely retarded, don't underestimate that.

That pop nu-country shit, yeah. I really fucking hate this trend. I don't live in a country area at all, or in the south, and everyone all of a sudden is walking around with dip in their mouth, ball caps with that fishing hook in it, Confederate flags, fucking cowboy boots. I saw my sister the other day and she was wearing that Walmart camo shit.

I'm not saying I hate the look, but that's not at all appropriate where we live.

and yet, look where we are...

This whole "le generation" meme has only been that prevalent in the last 100 years or so, because different forms of media have in fact been declining.

If rock could adapt it could stick around, but when was the last time you heard something good on the radio? Evey time I turn on mine it's the same old shit they've been playing for literally the last 10 years

lol

the beatles fucking suck though. they are the proto boy band, the first nsync and backstreet boys. they simply capitalized on the hippy movement to stay relevant and were notorious plagiarizers. they also literally only have one "great" album. sad!

>sampled guitar vst exist
i dont see why people wouldnt just buy a real one instead

Modern country music is entirely run by Jews, who use it to push a shallow deracinated materialist identity onto rural Whites.

It's easier to get some software and make or remix a song then make something new.

Hey guys have you heard my Power Rangers Pokemon Battle theme remix?

Here's a guy playing a nerd culture song like a metal song!

Just wait until you see this white girl do a ukulele rendition of Make Em Say Uhh! She's so quirky and socially awkward!

Honestly more angry about the fact that garbage rap is popular with whites tbqh.

Some bix nood monkey mumbling over a shitty beat and everyone loves it because its progressive or they like it "ironically".

rock bands are way more expensive to send on tour than djs it probably plays a lot, you need more gear to produce albums too.
It's just the market and the audience has heard a lot of rock for 50 years so they're probably a bit bored

Spoken like a true cuck

>You can't dance to radiohead.
youtube.com/watch?v=cfOa1a8hYP8

Do you have any proof on that, or did you just pull it out of your fucking ass?

I bet you think the rise of rap music was entirely organic and not fabricated by Jew record company owners

>That's a good point, but I don't think he was ever quite as ubiquitous as Nirvana was

Manson was everywhere in the late 90s. He just didn't endure like Nirvana did. If he'd have killed himself in 2000, he'd probably be a legend. Now he's just a fat has-been.

Lemmy seems like the type of guy who'd vote for brexit

What' are some good contemporary rock bands, anons?

Because they can't play it? These virtual instrument VSTs are mainly targeted for electronic music producers who want tiny bits of this-or-that instrument to add some flavor to their song. Nobody is gonna sit there and create entire guitar-based songs with these.

Rock had a short lived revival thanks to the Guitar Hero games from 2005 to 2010

The only rock act that my younger students ever talk about are Babymetal so I guess they are the closest to a international current rock star

>EDM
>takes lots of skill

You can fuck right off, you massive fucking faggot.

There's no quicker way to out yourself as being a plebeian than thinking The Beatles suck.
>Durr they don't have 13 minute guitar solos, my head hurts

>moving away from actual instruments.
People are the worst.

It's about the only thing I listen to anymore. Most of my friends love it too. We call the same thing country as you guys btw.

hahaha this sounds amazing, fuckign hilarious

It's no fallacy, cultures deteriorate over time until they collapse. Ours is nearing its end.

Are you suggesting rock music requires more discipline than other music? And you obviously don't know what "exponentially" means.

Ever met a 16 year old?

Kurt Cobain is their God.

The only proof i need is the distribution itself lad. The most popular genre of music almost forever was folk music because there simply wasn't access to anything else, but in the globalized society we see today almost everyone listens to the same shit. This all started with the advent of the radio. The only type of music that would really travel around before that were traveling folkbands with a limited range, and maybe some more symphonic music.

If this was the 1950s, you'd be complaining about Elvis

>declining
by what standard? And how is that different than when people said rock music was the declining of artistic quality. What about swing music, people said literally the exact shit you're saying now about it. "declining" artistic quality is subjective as fuck

I don't give a fuck about your opinion on the Beatles that's not the point.

>w.fuse.tv/2017/03/him-band-break-up-after-26-years-farewell-tour-dates

The world really is ending

I bet you're gonna go on a tirade about how you can learn everything on youtube in 15 minutes and how there are presets out there in the naive belief that you can somehow launch a career this way.

Country has turned into some gay country-rap hybrid.

Morrison was killed by (((them))).
He was going to expose them... bam, gone at 27.

Morrison was Anti-Hippy too by the way.

>16 year olds know who Cobain is

Nah....nah.

There's no quicker way to out yourself as being pelbeian than think The Beatles are good.
>hurr durr oh fuck, I'm retarded.

youtube.com/watch?v=abKjC7EX2Zs

thank you. I hate all of my friends now because they act like complete fucking niggers and only listen to that shit.

You get a lot of anti semitism anti authority. Why is hip hop so popular? Degeneracy

Sinatra liked "Something". He called it the best Lennon-McCartney song.

Hipsters desu.
In its actual merit as music it has been declining. Objectively speaking, we've gone from symphonies to some nigger rapping over a beat. The actual value of it is significantly worse, because culture as a whole has become a lot more of a product than anything else.

That's interesting to me. Country music is really associate with the Western and Southern U.S. and doesn't have a huge audience many other places. You would find it fairly difficult to find a real country music fan in NYC for example
