I shill for the radio that does every time, I own one myself. For a beginner it's the best. It comes with a telescopic antenna and a bar antenna built into the unit, and an external long wire "for free" but if you can wire a plug you can hook anything to it. Also the AN-LP1 which I also own is great for an extra hundred bucks or so, it's directional so you can zero out interference or home in on a signal by rotating it. This combination as well as others are used by countless anime waifus both on and off screen.
