How much of a drop in attendance do you guys see after Easter Sunday?

Don't know if it's just because UK's now effectively a secular country, but I don't see much increase at Easter. Seems to happen much more at Christmas

San Diego parishioners start "No Catholicism = No Cash" to protest Bishop's heresy.

cal-catholic.com/san-diego-parishioners-no-catholicism-equals-no-cash/

Easter Sunday itself or over the course of Lent?

At my parish Easter Sunday has twice the number of masses. Overflow situation. So from that day, more than 50%.

Lent? No noticeable drop off.

Advent is a different story ... 25% more attend leading up to Christmas, IMO

It stays constant, honestly. I've heard about these Christmas/Easter Catholics and I don't see why people would only attend twice a year.

>I don't see why people would only attend twice a year.
they are lazy cucks who take
>Take communion at least once a year on Easter
literally

also, a lot of my friends go away from church because they "dont have time for it"
assholes

>Advent is a different story ... 25% more attend leading up to Christmas, IMO

Bizzarely, in my area the mass where noticeably more people (+30%) went this year was Ash Wednesday. Christmas and Easter aren't that special in comparison with other parts of the year.

Ah yeah, I read about him. Glad they are taking a respectful stand. This is the beauty of the internet age, clergy who use the Church to push a non-religious agenda can't do it with immunity anymore

I guess it is different depending on where you live then. I usually see a massive drop off in attendance after Easter and Christmas. The effect is less pronounced here in Canada, but when I lived in South East Asia the drop in attendance was massive. The a lot of expats living there only came to church during the Easter and Christmas.

If you only commit for the 40 days then you really didn't commit to making a sacrifice, I keep mine the whole year until next lent fag

>don't have time to go to church for an hour once a week
Why is our generation prone to be more degenerate as opposed to our parents and grandparents?

because technological progress helped kikes spread their degeneracy, not to mention porn, alternative lifestyles, new drugs, and all kinds of weird shit

DESU I'd rather have people a few days a year than not at all. Creates an opportunity for them to return more often.

>I'm a Christian but I don't go to church. I don't believe in denominations

When will this meme end?

Matthew 16:18
>And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Matthew 18:17
>And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican.

One hopes enough people there join in so that the impact is recognized as opposed to being seen as a failed insurrection and therefore validation of the heresy.

Hopefully that diocese has a strong core of trad youth because the problem with such protests is they're often missed by older generations

Strongly recommend this book btw anons, especially if you live in a country with a strong protestant presence.

St. Francis De Sales converted 72,000 back to the faith from Calvinism with these pamphlets

I don't think there are more than 2 calvinists in Poland, but thanks

look up walid shoebats wesbite hes catholic theres very good sruff on there

Yeah, both he & Robert Spencer are very good for finding out about persecution of Christians all over the world

Bumping with music about based Polish Catholic hussars

If things will go as they are going now, soon Poland will have to remove Islam from Europe yet again

The growth of Islam in the West has been good for the East. If the West had no suffered atack after attack, there was a great danger the money of the EU, Soros etc, would have done to the East what it did to the West. i.e fund atheism & liberalism.
That's a much sneakier foe than anything else

Happy Easter Monday Catholic General

bump

What's worse:
>Not going to church
or
>taking communion in a state of mortal sin
whenever my parents drag my siblings to church they take communion.

Although under 40% is still not good, & 0.7 is hardly a huge surge, it bucks the trend in the West so have some semi-good news for your bump user

They're both mortal sins, user. There's no 'that mortal sin is not as bad as that mortal sin'

Catch 22, from my understanding not attending Mass is a mortal sin, but so is taking Communion while in such a state.

The proper thing would be to go to confession then Mass, otherwise not taking Communion but going to mass anyway.

Q to OP and/or other Christians:
What are you supposed to do on Easter Monday?
What rituals are there?

I tell my parents it's worse for them to go if they're going to take communion but they still occasionally get them to go.

>tfw only modernist architecture churches near you

I'd try and have them speak to the Priest about it, if nothing else he'll hopefully tell them they shouldn't be taking Communion without confession.

Well it was a Holy Day of obligation for you user. But other than that, there aren't really 'rituals'. It's still the Easter octave so it's still a time of celebration and feasting.

If you're Pope BXVI, it's a day to sink some steins pic related

Both are grave sins, and when committed with full knowledge of their evil and full, free consent, they become mortal. I think sacrilege is graver of these two though, but it's easier to convince a person not to take Communion than to make them go to Mass. Are you sure that your siblings are in state of mortal sin? Don't judge them if you aren't sure.
