Communism is the next stage of humanity following the capitalist stage.
What exactly is communism according to Marxist-Leninists:

I think, in the environment of post scarcity and peak technology, communism is the ideal political/economic structure.
However, I do not believe we are yet at a point where capitalism should be placed to the side. Capitalism drives technological and social growth far more effectively. I'll grant that the rate of technological advancement has plateaued rather suddenly, but I'm not willing to bet that there's not another technology spike in the future. After all, we still have to make FTL drives and Holodecks.
So do we start transitioning to socialism/communism and technologically stagnate? Or do we let capitalism continue to drive advancement as businesses compete with each other, but risk social stratification by class?
