My dad spent most of his Uni lecturing life in South America and the Caribbean on the developing countries etc. so he's pretty red pilled over race and the environment scams. He was from a working class background and Grammar school education got him into Cambridge in the 60s so he's pretty apoplectic about people claiming they're no good since he wouldn't have gotten anywhere near where he is now without them. Scotland does one thing that England, Wales, and Norn don't seem to in regard to politics. Scotland (for better or worse) holds a grudge. The SNP would be winning Glasgow right now regardless, but outside of Glasgow why do people vote SNP? We hate the Tories because of Thatcher so we have (until very recent years) refused to vote for them. Then Blair fucked everyone over so we ditched Labour. This left the SNP with a political monopoly on Scotland, and here we are.
