German legal system works basically with arbitrary justice.
A friend of mine is lawyer, he explained to me how in a lot of cases the judge absolutely has a verdict in mind that he or she wants to rule and then reverse engineers a verdict with assinine logic. There's so many loopholes and exceptions in german law that outcomes in court depend entirely on the judge and not on the "law" itself.
