>meanwhile, kids who majored in the history of watercolor pastels and cognitive gender psychology studies are earning 150k starting salaries writing for Buzzfeed and Salon.com

wat
Blog writers get paid literal chump change.

Poltards won't respond because they know the useless degree meme is real.

Nope, kids starting at Buzzfeed who majored in gender roles earn around six figures.

>major in chemistry, B.A.
>interview for 30 jobs senior year
>get two
>chose one
>current salary 67K
>age: 22

if you try, you get

Bump so anonimos don't fall for the memerino.

I got meme'd hard with this degree.

source for that? I can live through gender studies bullshit for 6 figures

>tfw just got half-jokingly offered a apprentice carpenter job for $60k/yr at 19yrs old
seriously considering it now, 100% of the people I know that got a degree made 60k or less out of college, at 22-23 years old, with debt

>Buzzfeed and Salon.com

all 50 of them

>tfw the right falls for the STEM meme and the left falls for the art degree meme
>tfw 300k per annum KFC starting salary

Bumperino so we can take learn to avoid this meme. I believe less people should go into stem, take out more loans to study art history.

Anya Olsen didn't fall the useless degree meme.

>meanwhile, kids who majored in the history of watercolor pastels and cognitive gender psychology studies are earning 150k starting salaries writing for Buzzfeed and Salon.com

That's horseshit. Very few writers for these kinds of places get paid very much. Often, they are paid on a per article basis and end up making less than minimum wage.

obvious troll is obvious. Op has been posting this all day

this is false... with an engineering degree you can get hired almost anywhere... You are a professional problem solver. Maybe not so much as chem because that is pretty specialized

>he didn't major in math

300k starting salary, literally any job I want.

> double major in chemical engineering/applied mathematics

Can leafs even fucking read?

I have a history degree and I make 65k a year as a marketer

I spent 4 years drinking, smoking, fucking on Uncle Sam's dime. I thought about STEM but I can't handle math and STEM is soul crushing.

>applied """"""""""""""math"""""""""""""""

Might as well just study art history

Mah nigga

>drop out of university
>no degree, no higher education, no work experience
>make up a bunch of bullshit on resume
>get job spending 75% of the time browsing internet
>85k

feelsgoodman.gif

yeah but then you have to do fuckin math for a job

how can you not get a job at one of the places that hired you before

oh yeah well im a chef at wendy's that makes 600k and i have a 9 inch dick

Don't fall for STEM meme.

I majored in philosophy even though everyone told it would be a waste. I now travel the world criticizing people and get to live a conformable barrel

>soul crushing
>marketer
not sure if you have a soul left bud

t. collegefag trying to rationalize his debt

Let's give it a lil bump so the anons can steer clear of the most memiest of memes,

Yeah because getting a job for a literal fake news propaganda company is an assured thing.

>No degree. Dropped out of a double degree in Economics/Psych. (To start 4th Reich of course)
>Self-taught marketing/advertising.
>Earning $50,000k a year as a marketing manager.
>Currently taking on more responsibility and I am essentially the right hand man of a 1.5million dollar company in revenue.
>20 Years old.
> I have the skills to start my own consulting firm and earn 10x what I do now.
> Am doing exactly that.

If making money is your goal, then University is not the answer. However, it does give you skills that make you a desirable employee in specialised fields.

If you have an interest of want to contribute to the greater good then go ahead. Personally, I want to buy land, work from home, have children with my gf and get married. Then once I am stable I might indulge in higher education, and pursue politics.

Jesus was a carpenter.

No, but seriously, it might be a good opportunity. Carpenters eventually evolve into builders and if you play your cards right you could be a dirty suburban developer and make millions.

However, if you are one of those people who yearn for higher purpose, consider this as a financial stepping stone to pursuing those things.

>50,000k
I know a girl fresh out of college that's making more in marketing. If making money is your goal you want a degree
