Bump what the fuck pol

I thought most animated shows, not limited to anime, were already outsourced to animators in south korea or china.

>[flavor of the month anime]

lol

>Japan is going to import all those cheap low paid refugees

>he doesn't already know the average animator wage for native Japanese

lmfao

AFAIK Japan has a law that requires to pay a high minimum wage to an imported foreign worker, that's why anime is outsourced and there're no refugees in Japan.

>he doesn't already know the average animator wage for native Japanese
Only for entry-level animators.

>only 12 episodes of attack on titan
>the first 3 episodes were filler so far

That's what you get for watching bandwagon shit instead of good anime like Kemono friends.

>not reading the manga

The anime is practically identical to the manga page by page m8

Just think about the Hentai a Somali would come up with

>filler
This entire arc of Attack on Shit is identical to the manga, it's mostly politics and pointless bullshit

>tfw the manga is a filler of itself

fillers means something anime-only that has not been in the source material. All scenes in the SnK s2 are in the manga.

What the fuck?
They release more anime every year than the previous
Most are garbage but that still a ton of anime

>fillers means something anime-only that has not been in the source material.
Not all anime-only content that isn't in the source is filler. Only the pointless stuff that gets added that artificially lengthens the plot without adding anything, like obligatory beach scenes, re-cap episodes, flashback episodes or out of place comedy episodes.

but it's all such shit quality though.

Terraformars hentai.

As long as I get the Nanoha movie I don't really care.

That's nothing new. People were complaining about it all being such shit quality since the early 90s desu

>tfw all those weebs who wanted to work for the anime industry were right

>unironically consuming any type of anime

oi vey

Simply a free market adjustment. A few years ago, I read an article about how shit the pay is as an animator. As a result (surprise, surprise), nobody wants to work 18 hour days for a slave wage. This will ultimately prove good for the industry as the remaining animators will be paid better as they become more valuable, and will improve overall quality of anime as the market will be less flooded with shit.

What retard wrote this? There's no shortage - Wit chose to be it's own subsidiary and isn't even a "small animation studio" given it's part of one of the biggest in the industry.

>Thinking anime is jew controlled

You can keep the ovens heated, but that's too far.

Maybe if Capitalism wasnt such a shit system the animators would be paid a decent wage

They'll just do what they've always done, cut costs and send tween work to Korea or other cheap nations.

Damn... It's 2017 and I finally can't wait for all future anime to be drawn like the amazing Steven Universe!!

>not loving the shit out of Black Lagoon

You know full well they'll just use more and more shitty CG.

yeah no shit, have you watched anime lately?
shit is crap and looks absolutely horrible to boot. went from top tier animations to newgrounds tier flash animations

animators live like slaves

>unironically watching japanese MLP

i bet the koreans are behind this

>Wit is a lazy animation studio with no budget

fixt

>it's the year 1996
>anime is dead
>we will never go back to the 80s

THANK GOD
maybe ill live long enough to see anime die

Finally, the anime industry was already over-saturated with moe garbage.

Let it rest for a few decades.

nooooooo, it was the only thing that still deserves to exist.

someone explain how the whole japan imploded in the 90's

What happened to the Koreans they were outsourcing too, did they all get taking over by the American studios?

I wonder if this is the death of the industry Anno spoke of a while ago. Japan is already rehashing sequels and mimicking the American movie market a little by remaking, rebooting, etc.

The 80s couldnt go on forever user.

>animator shortage
maybe because theres 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 anime shows coming out each season

just die already

Evangelion killed the anime industry and reshaped it to what it is today. I honestly miss the OVA format, I think Hellsing Ultimate may have been the last series to use traditional OVA story telling but it was pretty nice.

>Welp its all over lads... Japan is going to import all those cheap low paid refugees and make anime more politically correct and muslim friendly for them
At least it will inject a healthy dose of realism in their rape porn.

lol

Good. The only good anime is death note, code geass, black lagoon, and gurren lagann. NHK is comfy if youre a neet to i guess.

Besides that anime is fucking horse shit

user...
no
just no

Good.

>Evangelion killed the anime industry
how?

by having a shitty ending and shitty characters (besides Rei)

>Hellsing Ultimate may have been the last series to use traditional OVA story telling

nigga what?

gundam series still uses it,

It was too good
Its popularity is huge and many tried and failed to copy it

The shortage is real though. Too many shows are being made on short production times these days yet the industry worker turnover rate is high as many young people cannot cope with the abysmal pay and working hours. The starting salaries of junior animators are worse than what a McDonalds worker gets yet the hours are far longer.

Porra Caralho!
>tfw 31, married and have 3 kids
>tfw anime fan since 1990
>tfw met my wife in 1997 when I went to a Japanese imports shop in Los Angeles to check out the newest PS1 (Japanese version) games and bye a VHS of a X-Japan concert with my mom and she was buying manga with her dad
>tfw many late nights stoned with her watching Akira (200x probably)

>31, married and have 3 kids
wow man congratulations
I'm 26 and I don't even know what job should I do
what do you work in?

>pay animators chumpchange, then source out their jobs to china

>nobody wants to become an animator

SAVES US STATE

Oh thank fuck maybe the japs will regenerate their gonads and stop exporting that cancer

>no longer being in high school/college
>still watching anime
>no, ironic watching doesn't exempt you

seriously, what is wrong with you. it's shit, all of it.

Oh right I'm forgetting Unicorn probably because I don't like it a lot.

Most of the production is still done locally, and even menial work like inbetweening isn't completely shipped abroad.

It's still a shitty job

I stopped watching anime after leaving highscgool, because modern anime is garbage

Why do so many Westerners have this misconception that the 80s was some bastion of manly, fighting anime, epic space operas and sci-fi thrillers with god-tier production? Why do Westerners think moe is something new?

>Attack on Shitan
Nobody fucking cares, all studios still pump out their regular amount of anime, this is fake news.

If you think the superior-intellect Japs are going to start importing in inbred donkey-dick mudslimes then you're retarded.

koreans must be exempt from this law.

That means a shortage would be good, wages have to increase to attract more labour.

He's a NEET and this:
>many late nights stoned with her watching Akira
is still how he spends his time.
At least I hope so.

>shit is crap and looks absolutely horrible to boot. went from top tier animations to newgrounds tier flash animations
Have you actually watched Attack on Titan?

The filter of time: the garbage is forgotten, while the gems are carried along.

That's also why classical music is so good: it's the pieces that were great enough to be kept around for centuries. There's heaps of music from Beethoven and Bach, but only the best pieces regularly get played, the rest are stuck in an "also wrote"-archive nobody bothers with.

I'm a diesel mechanic earning $63k a year (that's just 1 of 4 income sources for me alone). I'm part owner of 2 mini mart/ liquor stores getting an additional $26k and lastly I help my brother about twice a month making wooden funiture of all types getting an additional $8k a year.

My wife brings in about $56k a year being an accountant at a small pharmacy.

I met my wife early in life (12y.o.) and was lucky we shared so much interests.

Don't come back to the jay ever again.

The problem is, wages have not been going up. You find investors throwing lots of money but it's all split up into different projects with low budgets.

Sorry /r9k/
I iz married N sheit.
t.Los Angeles dude!

>What retard wrote this?
Some weeb from Michigan.

The article (full: archive.is/A7JnW) anyway is based on some Twitter commentary by Thomas Romain (known for Code Lyoko), a French animator based in Japan

you are amazing dude
keep the good work

Nah, good for you, man. Sorry about Commiefornia, though, but at least the weather is nice, I guess.

>Japan is going to import all those cheap low paid refugees and make anime more politically correct and muslim friendly for them

What is outsourcing?

Bringing the manpower to your country is not only expensive but time consuming too. Why not make a satelite company in 3rd world countries like what your call center biz did.

Odds are WIT aren't actually that big since they rely on freelancers a lot, which is that most studios do. They don't even have their own digital and CG department.

He's not that amazing.

You just suck, big time.

It's basic economics, demand high + supply low = supply cost goes up. The supply in the case being labour, they've kept wages compressed so by outsourcing (increase supply) and cutting corners (decrease demand)

>commiefornia
How can you live with yourself, lad?

Time to read mangas

why not both?

No wonder they face shortages when it's a position that's poorly paid.

A project like "Evangelion", which is a nearly risk-free venture in the vein of Star Wars, pays it's animators around 1600 USD a month. As if that wasn't bad enough, the hours and work conditions are inhumane and would never fly in a western country. This is a project which is not just guaranteed to make money, but guaranteed to make a TONNE of money not through just the actual animation product, but also merchandise.

Studio Khara being a trendsetter and an industry leader is doing it's fair share in order to kill traditionally made anime, especially as Japan becomes increasingly dependent on 3D technology.

And we need more mechanics! I work in a port in San Pedro maintaining big rigs

True dat, but I live in a redpilled part of Anaheim with all my neighbors being Trump supporters and cops.
Feels good man.
Especially sipping on some tasty Deutsch bier!

Robot animators

>the garbage is forgotten, while the gems are carried along.
The filter of time must have worked in reverse because there's plenty of top-tier 80s moeshit that faded to obscurity because of generic shonenshit and manime.

>killing hand-drawn animation in favor of soulless 3DCG is good

>kill traditionally made anime, especially as Japan becomes increasingly dependent on 3D technology.
This is why I havent watched anything in years

CG crap makes me wanna throw up. It's a perversion of animation

I thought they already had Koreans do everything except keyframes

Why isn't anime government funded?

Where did you get the implication that I thought this was a good thing?

oh boy

>shortage of animators
BECAUSE THEY ARE PAID LESS THAN MACDONALD EMPLOYEES

...

Fucking animators why are they so lazy and greedy ? oh wait theyre millenials I found my answer

worst generation desu senpai

Los Angeles is very segregated and has enclaves my dude. Many if "them" can't afford where I live. And I live in O.C.

Its criminal how unloved black lagoon is. Season 3 is incoming by the way. They started more chapters on the manna.

>filler

do you even know what filler means you dumb leaf
