There are some Christians, who are not sheeple, but their believe are overshouted by mainstreamers.
The Church lost power to call for crusades long time ago and it was also, because it wasn´t used against only heathens but also heretics (hussites)
Secular/Atheist/Pagan are prone to try to live with them mostly, but ultimately fail in realising, that we need to get other faiths out of this continent, because they are not compatible, COEXIST is the main shit of these three

I somewhat agree with you on Christianity wanting to allow for people to "settle down." Unlike other religions, Christianity is very flexible in regards to culture, and you can usually see different groups of Christians within a variety of countries dressing in certain ways, having their churches reflect the local architecture, etc.
You can find temples that are churches in China, or see Indian Christian females dressed in traditional Hindu clothing, etc.
