Reposting from The only interesting to watch in this election will be weather or not the Lib dems rise and the SNP fall. I'm also curious to see what voter turnout will be after the referendum's high turnout, although I expect it to be low.
I predict that the lib dems will gain a few seats in London, Devon, and maybe Kent but most of their gains (if they make any) will come from Labour.
Labour will probably only lose around 30 seats, worse case scenario. SNP might lose a few seats, but I don't think it will be a massive swing. Tories will come out with over 360 seats, and 100% of the power. Their manifesto is actually worth reading this time.
Greens, PC, and UKIP will be irrelevant no matter their vote share. UKIP will probably only get 2 million or so votes, I think a lose of 1/3 of their support will be likely, but still it's worth looking at how they do in the North.
The real question is who is going to be Labour leader after Corbyn is kicked out, I don't think that Nigerian nigger will run, he dropped out pretty quick last time when people started digging into his past. I don't think David Miliband will leave his comfy NGO job either. I don't think Khan can contest it, as he isn't an MP. Whoever it is, they'll probably be New Labour 2.0.
Overall, I'm just hoping I can get a job at a comfy poll station and spend the night vote counting, but I've been really busy at work recently. The extra money would be nice.

There are two Scottish polls in Sunday’s newspapers – Panelbase for the Sunday Times and Survation for the Sunday Post. Voting intention figures, with changes since the general election in 2015, are below:
Panelbase/S Times – SNP 44%(-6), CON 33%(+18), LAB 13%(-11), LDEM 5%(-3)
Survation/S Post – SNP 43%(-7), CON 28%(+13), LAB 18%(-6), LDEM 9%(+1)
The two polls have very similar shares for the SNP – still showing a large lead, but not at the heights they enjoyed in the 2015 election. Both polls show a major increase in Conservative support, putting them in clear second place (though the scale of that increase differs). Both show Labour sharply down, though against the scale differs – Survation have Labour losing a quarter of their support since 2015, Panelbase almost half of it. The polls appear to be continuing a trend we saw at the Scottish Parliament election last year – the Conservatives gradually taking over the mantle of being the main opposition party to the SNP. My own best guess of what is going on is that we’re seeing Scottish politics increasingly become something where the main cleavage is Independence vs Unionism (rather than the normal economic and class cleavages that have dominated British politics), with the SNP and the Conservatives the main flagbearers of the two sides. Anyway, that aside, what would these sorts of figures mean in terms of seats at the general election? The Survation poll would represent a 10 point swing from SNP to Conservative, the Panelbase poll a 12 point swing. Looking down the SNP defence list, these would see the Conservatives take 7 to 9 seats from the SNP: Berwickshire, Renfrewshire East, Dumfries & Galloway, Aberdeenshire West, Aberdeen South, Perth & Perthshire North, Moray – perhaps East Lothian & Edinburgh South West. On the Panelbase poll the Tories would also take Edinburgh South from Labour. Of course that’s just a uniform swing. In reality the vote won’t be so evenly spread

It will also be interesting to see if there is an across the board increase for the Tories, or if in practice Unionist voters are willing to vote tactically for the most viable Unionist candidate in their area.

The point is there is no good reason for those rifles to be banned in the first place. With the Firearms Amendment Act 1997 that banned handguns over .22, I could understand the rationale. Even now, with pistols banned entirely (Discounting the ones with longer barrels and handle attachments to count as "rifles"), handguns make up 25% of all gun related crime, and thats after 20 years of them being banned.
But with rifles, there is no similar justification. Rifles are involved in around 0.5% of firearm related crime in the country, out of >8000 incidents there are around 43 that involve rifles. There is no real justification for the liberty of 80+ Million citizens to be trodden on and ripped up.
