Fascism is a temporary tool to reduce the agents (eg immigrants) that in the long term will destabilize society and in the end raise demand for government, ie. authoritarianism. Fascists don't hate freedom, they just realize that it has a cost which needs to be payed.

You're using a linear political model, which doesn't actually work at all. The generally accepted basic political model uses two axes, economically left and right and authoritarian vs libertarian. It measures political ideology by government involvement in social and economic issues.

Fascism doesn't exist on the 2D political compass. Fascism exists on the 3D compass, where the third axis is the measure of how nationalistic someone is. Fascism is nationalism and authoritarianism. It can be left or right, which involves economics.
