Sweden
The three sentenced are 18, 21 and 24 years old. The 18-year-old was sentenced to one year in prison for rape, while the 21-year-old got two years and four months for rape and involvement in rape.
The 24-year-old, who filmed the rape, was sentenced to six months in prison for defamation and involvement in rape. The men are also convicted of paying a total of 330,000 Swedish kronor in compensation for the woman.
Background: Sent rape live on Facebook
All three have denied guilty. Two of them have acknowledged that they had intercourse with the woman, but they maintained that it was voluntary.
About 60 people saw the rapist violence, and several witnessed how they saw the woman being raped by two men.
Despite the fact that the police moved out and stopped the mission after several called the police and notified the abuse, parts of the film have been spread throughout the world and translated into a titular language. The three men were arrested on site and the woman, who was in the 30's, was taken care of. She was heavily drunk and affected by drugs, which according to the district court led her to be in a particularly vulnerable situation.
Convicted assaulter:
- The Internet inspired me to film the rape
The judgment also states that the woman has had to move to a sheltered residence after the incident and that she is very difficult.
The shipment occurred in a closed group that will have over 60,000 members.
It took time before the police and prosecutor's office received the entire movie, but during the trial the film was sent from Facebook to the Swedish investigators. This strengthened the accusation, according to prosecutor.
