Personally I don't think the royal navy has the tonnage to support and defend two large aircraft carriers.

A task group normally consists of two destroyers, two frigates, two support vessels and a submarine or two.

The Royal navy only has 6 Daring class destroyers.

I don't know if we can afford to use 2/3d's of them baby-sitting carriers

Will the type 31 be able to fill the gap?

>HMS dread

Don't forget the two Helicopter Landing docks like HMS Ocean will also need escorts.

They seem to want to replace some type 23's with the new type 26 which is more geared toward ASW.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Combat_Ship

But they won't be rolling off the docks till 2020 at the earliest, and pulling type 23's out of service still leaves a shortfall.

They'd probably have to limit battle groups to one destroyer and several frigates and a sub. OP is quite right, there just doesn't appear to be the tonnage.

Looks good m8y

Standing water is haram m8, when the muslims take over ships will be banned

Top kek

Shuda used this pic m8

You can see the Arabic writing on the side of the corvette

Khareef is British built.

Omen is a strong ally strangely enough.

>Omen

Oman*

Hms Ocean will be sold to brazil by the time Prince of wales enters services.

But you're quite right Albion and Bulwark will need escorts too..

Yea I know, Bae built it, and it's their base design for the bae's proposal for a type 31 frigate seen here

although I prefer BMT's design (see pic)

I think that's why the MOD wants to cut the numbers of type 26's from 13 to 8, and then just spam with up to 10 cheep type 31 frigates to make up the numbers

either way they will be good looking ships

I hope they build them better than Russian ships

Those are some sexy ships

>tfw your sky is constantly battleship-grey coloured

fucking clouds man

we got your back dad

One with ramps.

Americans are easily the worst posters on Sup Forums.

Considering all our cuts, and tiny budget.....that`s not a bad sized navy.

goof target for hypersonic weapon

The carriers will be cycled anyway won't they? If you wanted the capability of 2 carrier fleets out there at any given time, you'd probably need 4 ships or at least 3

Is HMS Bolton named after Michael Bolton?

tbqh for a """maritime""" nation our navy is pathetically small

plus the type 45 can't operate in warm water

kek, thats cute...

You cant beat danish made ships though, we use a secret viking inspired defense mechanism that is unbeatable.

You might be able to notice it on this very ship if you have sharp eyes.

Bolton is a place

>6 Darjeeling destroyer
>16 Fregattes
>3 Helo carriers and 1 ramp in service

lol your navy is now officially smaller and with Muhammads, gays and women probably already less effective than the Chinese navy

So much for "winning" the war...

I'm starting to draw this conclusion too.

They only post the same cliches over and over. Even Canadians are better.

...

Its getting bigger you daft lad, (pic) is our navy as of 2015

My guess would be the city of Bolton, the Frigates are named after cities you see.

It is very depressing.

>no HMS Muhammad

Royal navy has the most based names though. I like the ANZAC class, but place names and presidents are shit compared to invincible, dragon, dread, destiny etc
