How did the NK stuff start in the first place anyway? I wasn't following closely but it seems like all of a sudden we're on a brink of war with them after a few weeks of Trump. Would anyone else have had this problem so quickly?
The US has long tolerated the idle threats from the DPRK, but Trump's... not so tolerant. Also they are getting closer every day to having a nuclear capable ICBM, every previous president has literally kicked the can down the road thinking that worst case scenario, China won't let NK hit the red button. But the new Kim Jong Un has been less responsive to China in their bilateral talks than his forefathers, so China is legit concerned that they won't have the same influence they used to, if DPRK does get the ability to strike US homeland.
Furthermore, Trump puts up like a 'tough guy' and would be ridiculed in domestic politics if he allowed 'little Kimmie' to taunt us, so that's a factor. And Kim is the same way, from his perspective he may be terrified that his country will finish the nuke, and then finally has to follow through in the threats his father and grandfather have been making.
Specifically the US military intelligence is suggesting they will have a nuclear bomb capable of hitting US soil before 2020,so now or never, It's Trump's problem to deal with.

I think both have made the situation worse desu
if NK feels more threatened by Trump then it's only natural for them to ramp up their deterrent
Liam Nguyen
More than likely Trump got read in on the intelligence reports, and instead of kicking the can down the road for the last 25 years he's decided to do something about it. It makes sense too when you think about it. North Korea is a weapon China uses against the US whenever someone starts talking about evening the trade playing field between the US and China. And every single time the US side has cucked out because they buy into China playing the good cop to our bad cop. Trump isn't thrilled with China, he's been open about that. What's one way of getting at them without having to level their cities? Take away one of their most effective weapons and at the very least turn it back on them and suddenly make North Korea China's problem instead of an American one.
Alexander Flores
So will this shit cause WW3 in place of Ukraine/Syria?
Funny how the wars are being propped up only for Russia pressure points. Or has Russia abandonned NK for good by now?
Caleb Smith
>US military intelligence is suggesting they will have a nuclear bomb capable of hitting US soil before 2020 That's bullshit. I doubt the US military concluded any of that. The media is just pushing war again.
Liam Brown
No. No one is going to go to bat for North Korea, least of all Russia. Russia's not even going to go to bat for Syria, and literally said that too.
Ryan Long
Russia knows NK is a lost cause. They don't win with any result. What the fuck would Russia do with that shithole bit of land full of starving retards?
"Communism" in that form is dead on a global scale and Russia and China know it. China are now only interested because of the land and the geopolitical importance of that land, not in any way because of the politics.
Russia will benefit from conflict in the region though. The US can't fight on both fronts so will give Putin an easy run in Syria.
This may have all been planned by Ruskie shills in the US gov. Fuck knows.
They are all saying the same thing, basically covering their ass, when they say, "theres no choice"
Aaron Thompson
Shilling is at 85% this morning. It's fucking disgusting, nice to find a real thread thanks.

I think trump just wants to show that he is 'strong'. he has chosen north korea. it's an easy target.
Matthew Peterson
This is a good answer, but Obama was very soft on NK compared to Trump so I'm sure they were used to doing whatever they wanted. Trump just checked them, which is realistically the responsible thing to do given the potential threat to its neighbors that a nuclear NK could pose.
Aiden Bell
>easy target >has nuclear weapons >been a thorn in the side of the US since the end of the Cold War C'mon Abdul, there are way easier targets.
Parker Morris
Would Trump use nukes on NK?
Would the world forgive him for it?
Dominic Butler
Easy target from a PR standpoint. If he'd picked some Arab country you'd have people saying "just like Bush" or "muh Islamophobia".
Carson Hernandez
There is no need to, would never happen unless something went horribly wrong and they were able to successfully use a nuke first but this is virtually impossible.
Plus who the fuck gives a shit what the world thinks lol? We lead the rest of the cuck world - they know nothing of freedom until we give it to them. They can follow and shut the fuck up.
Jayden Rivera
holy shit. they will not open up negotiations with NK till they abide by the rules (they wont)
THIS IS IT LADS
Carson Morgan
rothschild want a central bank in the country and the jewcock worshipping us necon government has to bow
Jacob Sanders
Just read through all posts in thsi thread, cant believe the amount of t_d posters that have flooded Sup Forums please go back
Parker Baker
It's been going steady under Obama too
He was lucky in that he got out of office before the deadline of ICBM/SLBM with nukes from the Norks are a thing
Charles Jenkins
That's a reasonable assumption IMO
They've got the rockets They've got the nukes
They just need to put the 2 together
Adrian Peterson
We really don't like North Korea's share of the illegal Opium trade currently and they're generally hostile to Western hegemony
Camden Miller
True, but then there's also Venezuela. It would be pretty easy to convince people that some sort of military action is needed there. PR would look good, risk to the US would be absolutely minimal.
