A

FUCKING

They still haven't figured out catapults.

RAMP

Fun fact: Ramp means disaster in Dutch.

Britbong here

Looks like our new carriers are truly chink-tier

Can we have a catapult-carrier friendship ?

I prefer my carriers to look like this.

>That rust

Absolute degeneracy

Based ramp design learn physics noobs

Any ship at sea is going to look like that.

P-please no bulli

Navy's that have pride in themselves do not.

youtube.com/watch?v=oXWgJSpvbic

Chinks are fucking autistic

dude, don't cast stones. They'll google our ships.

Japan built two "helicopter" carriers in two years yet it takes several years for China to build this shitty looking one?

>can't even ramp the entire bow of the ship

let them

Helicopter carriers are pathetic.

The ramp only needs to be as wide as the aircraft lad. The rest is flat for a reason I assume.

A fucking ramp. Why. We've got 20 aircraft carriers now and none of them have a fucking ramp.

I guess you could say they're behind the curve.

...

So the aircraft can fly off, since they can't have our catapult.

lmao what were they thinking??

...

JMSDF ships hardly have any corrosion on them because of lead paint and their overboard discharges are closer to the waterline.

Skatepark

Kek

"We can either have 1 carrier with a catapult and nuclear reactor or we can have 2 that are slightly cheaper and easier to maintain"?

Why be on the sea when you can be under it

dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4453166/Royal-Navy-s-nuclear-submarine-hits-water-time.html

lel

Its so they can store planes there.

>People's Republic of Shredding

That was quick

That would make sense.

By "helicopter carriers" I think you mean "totally incapable of operating STOL and VTOL jets like the ones we intend to purchase haha nothing to see here though" carriers.

or so the pilot can choose if he wants to use the training ramp or fly like an adult

>First domestically built aircraft carrier ever
>LOL Y U NO HAZ ELECTROMAGNETIC CATAPULT? HAHAHAHAH

Neck yourselves. China is going to pop out another one in a few years. This is their first and code-named Type 001A, it's merely China's first step, but by all means, keep laughing.

Kek

>mrw Americans don't want to partake in EXTREME sorties.

...

Friendly reminder that the only carrier to win a modern war against a competent opponent had a ramp.
Bombing gook and sandnigger mud huds doesn't count.

>no ramp usa carriers
sad

Aircraft carriers have shit strategic value in actual warfare, you just don't get it...

China built this one for POWER PROJECTION and for domestic pride. The CCP acknowledges that the Type 001A is a glorified training ship for the next aircraft carriers to come.

>tfw without Hermes or Illustrious we would have lost the Falklands
>tfw we scrapped them afterwards
>ywn be able to wander the decks of "Old Lusty" the museum ship because the British government is short sighted and dumb.

don't forget the bogans with their roo-ramps

>tfw the aussies have two flat-tops and we have fucking trudeau -_-

>being able to project air power globally has no strategic value
>muh ballistic missiles
>what is an AA destroyer

good one

But if you kill your enemies, they win.

don't worry we pretty much have amerifats to protect us

>best AA platform on the sea
>most aesthetic modern ship on the sea
Rule Britannia.

>Aircraft carriers have shit strategic value in actual warfare, you just don't get it...
what about in some tiny country with no defence, it's canada i'm talking about canada

how hard is to to figure out a fucking catapult?

all these ramps get on my nerves

Quiet sweetie the adults are talking.

Go and play with your brother Slovakia.

i cannot express the disgust i feel about the amount of money you took for your space race poland

Not for long. Once Trump leaves NAFTA and kicks off Milk War 1, your """"country"""" will be put down once and for all.

and to think I used to respect bongs

>fighter jet takes off from ramp
>this angles the jet engine down towards the ship during take off
>chink goes full throttle on the engine
>ship catches fire
10/10

We won the Falklands war on our own lad, thanks to those carriers.

P-post more!

>being able to project air power globally has no strategic value

Are you retarded? I said in actual warfare it has little value, but in times of peace, it is used for POWER PROJECTION, which is very strategic and useful. And yeah, cheap as fuck ballistic missiles will easily destroy your aircraft carriers costing billions.

China has been working on supersonic missiles for a long time now. Same with Russia developing AA defense intensively to counter America's large air fleet.

Shut the fuck up. Out of all of America's lapdogs, the UK is certainly the most cucked one. At least Canada help back on Iraq war and not trying to unconditionally submit itself to whatever the US decides. You have no pride or honor, fucking pathetic.

>Rule Britannia.

held back*

Usually wouldn't correct typo but I'm dealing with a subhuman brit who might a typo their entire argument.

fuck that I want our own naval aviation capacity so Canada can join in on the global cuck curb stomp with Mattis and pals

maybe if we turf cuck-boy for Mad Max the Americans will lend-lease us an old Tarawa class we can refurb and fly some F35's off

tbhfam 90% of the ship is probably made from asbestos

It's a lot harder to remotely hit ships with missiles than you imagine. They wouldn't get carriers even remotely close to the action if a war started, and the carriers would still serve their purpose.

You've got all your priorities wrong.

There should be no lend-lease with other countries. What Canada needs to do as soon as possible is build a naval base around the North West passage because every power on Earth will be eyeing that region, wanting to make it international waters. Gotta defend that first and foremost before indulging in America's wars for Israel.

COMBO BREAKIN'

Literal clone of a 40 year old Soviet carrier built by chinks. I can only imagine the quality of the booger welds holding this thing together.

You think that western nations arn;t working on arms to counter missiles? A ballistic missile would be too inaccurate to use on a carrier. It's travelling 30 knots, can turn, and is being escorted by several destroyers with AA and Anti missile capability. If you use a nuke you start a nuclear war (lol no) if you use a regular warhead on an ICBM it won't hit. If you use a small guided missile it will get shot down.

...

>40keks.jpg

unless we get AIP SSKs or full SSNs that's all BS talk, muh arctic sovereignty

our 4 ex-bong POS subs are a joke, we should look at the Collins-class replacement project in Australia, they have their military procurement in much better shape than ours

Fuckin dog dickin it.

Planes don't have legs so they need help jumping.

not really, you can do it 60 years ago but now the last part is done by the missiles target recognition, no gps, radar, comms, sat or anything needed.

BURGER

China has already built hypersonic missiles and is developing such technology at a fast rate.

Yes, I know the US is working on system to neutralize such threats but Russia and especially China are investing heavily in hypersonic missiles and is kind of leading the race at the moment.

dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3986994/Russia-China-s-hypersonic-missiles-endanger-continental-United-States-Air-Force-chiefs-warn.html

The problem with aircraft carriers is their worth, way too fucking expensive to be lost. Do you know how many destroyers could be built instead? China is really building aircraft carriers for the power projection aspect only. For actual warfare China's probably building hundreds of hypersonic missiles to deal with single aircraft carriers. The US is such a vulnerable enemy to asymmetric warfare.

>two years
Thats laydown to launch time not "building"
For a shitty 20.000/27.000 ton "its actually a disguised real aircraft carrier" helicopter flop

>it takes several years for China
Laydown 2015 to launch 2017 equals two years
For a functional 50,000/70.000 ton aircraft carrier with at least a ramp to launch something thats worth shit

le_bait.jpg

Russian navy stronk.

Kaga's good,
but Jun'you is best.

>chines need anti-suicide rails around their boat.

>The problem with aircraft carriers is their worth, way too fucking expensive to be lost. Do you know how many destroyers could be built instead?

>Queen Elizabeth Class - 3.1B each
>Type 45 - over 1B each

3:1 ratio? seems reasonable DESU m8, but those are conventional powered carriers so more apples to apples then CVN vs DDG

what's the French ratio like?

...

>1/3 of the tonnage of the shitty chink ramp CV
>Cannot even operate F-35B

Kek, alright, "carrier". It's more like a helo fuck pad.

Now electromagnetic!

Yeah, I mean, ramps carriers are better than no carriers.

I sailed on a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier for two years. Any questions? I'll answer most questions but obviously within reason.

Catapults are fucking awesome. Ramps are gay.

Catapults are objectively better though. The only advantage of ramps is they're cheap, but in actual war the catapults are far more effective.

I think I get this

Why do you post shit like this while fully-knowing that your country is

>6983
>
>>best AA platform on the sea
>>most aesthetic modern ship on the sea
>Rule Britannia.
It does not have a AESA radar. AGEIS is the best AA platform.
You can only rule seven bathtubs.

>now even more expensive and prone to breakdowns

No dude catapults are fucking expensive and require extensive preventative maintenance to keep them operational.

Ramps are cheap and if the ramp ever breaks down, it's because the ship has been hit by a missile.

How on earth are they better for war in any conceivable way?

You're telling me that there isn't a country on earth besides America that can't afford a fucking steam catapult but can afford an entire aircraft carrier?

t.

seaman shmuckatelli off the USS Neversail

---- RED ALERT ----
AUSTRALIAN NUCLEAR BOMBERS HAVE BEEN SCRAMBLED WITH ORDERS TO PROCEED TO AND DROP NON-CONVENTIONAL ORDINANCE ON PYONGYANG

> cheaper

fuck off with that meme

It's not the steam catapult, it's the amount of money spent on fuel and bombs from the much faster rate of bombing.

They can afford the catapult, but not to operate it.
