Lol how would a libertarian defend this?

Libertarians talk a lot of shit, but when it comes time to vote they are republicans.

No shit?!?! I'm thinking the same thing.

You should read up on libertarianism OP. Make sure you have a cock up your ass while doing so so it registers correctly in your faggot mind.

It seems like something they would defend

you two are retarded

Fine, let me fix this

>Ancaps will defend this

Limiting free trade? Huh, didn't know libertarians were for that.

Tesla can't even produce the fucking cars they promise as is, so why worry about selling them at this point?

I'm still waiting for Musk's Model 3 to roll off the production lines.

>Libertarians defending regulations
>something libertarians would defend
You must be 18 years or older to post on this board you faggot

>implying free market

The dealership kikes need to be loaded into trains and gassed

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_US_dealership_disputes

What an original idea

Once Electric gets into Bigger types of Vehicles/Equipment, expect the "banning" to change.

New KB:

Go back to your thread

I see Teslas everywhere here in Dallas. Are they importing them from out of state?

Why would libertarians defend this? What am I missing?

>libertarians will defend artificial barriers to entry created by government collusion

I wish nothing but the worst for you.

Yes. If you want a Tesla in Texas, you have to go out of state to buy it

>400 miles per charge
>10 minutes for full charge

Until then Tesla's in beta mode.

I like how in Conservative states, they are so politically against the concept of climate change that they actually enforce that people there can not buy cars from Tesla.

The free market party except when consumers support things that are against the agenda

It's in the GOP platform in many states supporting direct sales

It's the governors that are against it, especially in Texas and Snyder in Michigan

>Implying they can't

I dont think you know what you're talking about faggot?

>that hairline
JUST

Franchise laws where a cartel divides a certain market into territories? Does that sound libertarian to you?

>Defending more government regulation
I don't think you understand what libertarianism is m8. In fact this is what people that desire more regulation would like, means "keepin the jobs" or whatever. Libertarianism=/=Corporatism.

That makes no sense either, the corresponding group that would defend this would be Corporatists not market liberals.

>I'm an anarcho-capitalist because it sounds cool.
Anarcho-capitalism is a contradiction in terms. Capitalism depends on contracts. What happens when there is a dispute in a contract? They go to court to argue the contract and the law. Who runs the courts and writes the laws? The government.

How would anarcho-capitalists handle contract disputes? Hit men?

red states=retards

There are Tesla dealerships in Arizona.

Violate the contract, violate the NAP. So yes. Hitmen it is.

I would but I don't care.

A libertarian wouldn't defend this. This is a clear example of government intervention in business.

Map is 3 years old.

Can't go anywhere in Austin without seeing a Tesla

It's sad too. Tesla has some smooth ass cars too.

I feel like this is the dying breath of the auto industry as we knew it. I can't wait for these fuckheads to die so these silly rules can get replaced by someone with sense.

If there were Tesla charge stations half as frequent as gas stations, these things would take over in a matter of a year.

It's a showroom. If you go in there's a sign on the cars that says "not for sale"

You still have to buy them out of state

Good
Dealers need jobs, if every company distributed cars themselves this would hurt dealers and capitalism

I live in Houston and they have a couple of stores. I don't understand this map.

>libertarians defending lobbying
Negro, I...

The fuck are the point of these electric cars when the electricity that charges them is going to be largely provided by coal power plants? Isn't buying one of these things just conspicuous consumption and empty virtue signalling for pretend communists? If you really gave a shit you'd just quit driving a car and get a horse instead.

As a libertarian, I don't defend this.

>It's not REAL capitalism

Explain how this is *any* different to retards that claim that It's not REAL socialism

>Lol how would a libertarian defend this?
I have no problem with this kind of protectionism, but I'm not a libertardian.

I can appreciate that this is attempted bait, but it's poorly constructed.

Why would a libertarian defend state regulation?

because GM lobbying the government goes against the definition of capitalism.

But It's always going to happen

The ideal of REAL capitalism is impossible

i live in houston also, i live in pearland

Don't confuse corporatism with libertarianism.

No libertarian would support government regulations like that.

Yes, libertarian is generally considered on the right...along with republicans...

How do you define libertarian?

Lack of regulations gives GM the liberty to pull off this kikery

I see multiple model s every day on the road

Because they're rural and suburban retards.

Jesus, how fucking retarded are you. Small government/ almost no government. Free market (with no government regulation). Leave me alone and i'll leave you attitude.

Almost the opposite of a conservative.

Have you ever seen a political compass dumbass?

>can Tesla sell directly to people not thru a dealership -- No.

t. TX

I don't personally have a problem with it, but that's why, if I understand correctly.

Tesla only has any money at all because they sell tons of carbon credits and they still posted a loss.

>lobbying from GM
>Libertarians will defend this

nigga what lol

I want a tesla.

They're all a bunch of fucking thieves. Fuck em.

Republicans are still better than almost any Democrat.

If i gotta choose 1 . . .

GMs the best

This wouldn't fucking happen in a libertarian society.

>Libertarians will defend this
Not really.

What Libertarians would defend would be a GM super monopoly in which they simply bought out anyone who would work with Tesla so that Tesla couldn't even scrape together enough iron to build a car.

This infographic is either old or BS, here in MD Teslas are thick as flies and they have a dealership in Bethesda. They also have a dealer in VA and DC.

This is massively outdated. I'm outside of San Antonio and there's literally a Tesla dealer 5 minutes from my house.

The proportion of coal-fired electricity has been falling since the fracking boom. It's being replaced largely by natural gas because it's now cheaper than coal.

That's the thing with electric cars... rather than having millions of little engines spewing out crap in your city, all the crap is being emitted by a few big power plants away from where everyone lives.

Also, when you do the sums, electric cars are much more energy efficient than gasoline cars.

And an overreaching government enforces the regulations

Limited government would solve both issues.

Business would not lobby government to get advantages because the only way to get an advantage in the market is by providing a quality, safe, worthy product.

Is there anything wrong with this if it's not being propped up by government regulations to begin with that allows them to get that big?

They would hypothetically be making a great product if they could be making enough money to hire out all competition.

People who can afford these cars can easily afford enough solar panels to charge them. Even with out that power plants are slightly more efficient in their use of fuel than cars are.

It has the highest margins in the industry and only posts losses because its plowing so much money in building more production capacity.

High-tech modern factories aren't cheap.

Electric cars will be the kickstarter to orwellian government control
Germany 7 years ago were talking about power rationing so that they designate who should be allowed to charge their car and also have the exclusive right to bar you from using your car or even getting in. Even stop and shut down your car at any time they see fit for any reason
Electric cars will be the death of us

Private courts would enforce private contracts or it would be a a breakdown of the NAP

>They would hypothetically be making a great product if they could be making enough money to hire out all competition.

More likely they would be the only ones making a thing that people want because they crush all their competitors, mafia style if neccessary. Yes yes I know Libertarians believe that won't happen because they are bizarrely think that fabulously wealthy are powerless without the government and that they could never hire goons to do shady shit.

For those that don't know, Tesla isn't banned from selling cars in all 50 states and never has been.

They could do the same thing with petrol, the problem is not electricity, it's the fact that the cars are connected to the internet and have the potential to be controlled outside of your power, alongside the source of fuel.

There is an argument that electric cars can be worse for the environment because of what it takes to manufacture the batteries. Combine that with what it takes to charge them and your net impact on the planet is worse than if you drove some fuel efficient econobox from Japan.

But it is tough to be smug with a better than thou attitude when driving a camry.

The free market will fix it

This is bad because this is bad

Uh huh.

No it doesn't you fucking abbo.

It's the regulations that are causing it. I live in Jewtah and our retarded legislature is taking jew money to not let Tesla sell vehicles. Tesla literally has a showroom in the middle of our capital city and they aren't allowed to sell cars from it because of government regulations.

What do you retards think a libertarian is?

Fair enough, but hypothetically them hiring goons and taking out the competition mafia style is akin to the police enforcing government regulations.
Which is anti-competition and technically against the free market. Oh well libertarianism is pretty idealistic.

> Argument of retard republican shill for oil and GM

I've been lucky enough to get the chance to drive a top of the line Tesla... the ludicrous 0-60 in 2.5s one. Holy fucking shitballs they are incredibly fast.

But even if I had the money, I wouldn't buy one though because I'm not a fan of the interior and the giant touchscreen.

Depends on the batteries and recycling methods available for them largely.

Exactly.

Why would Libertarians defend using the force of law to create closed markets? Sounds like something Statists would do.

sage for being stupid

Freedom also means freedom to limit the freedom of others.

No, no it doesnt. Freedom is freedom. The government should only limit behavior when its in the public good, that is when someone is behaving in a way that harms others.

Tesla is not harming anyone, they are selling a product but the big three are scared. Its like when electricity threatened the kerosene business, they did everything they could to stop it. In the end they lost and the us oil monopoly was broken up.

ban jews in all 50 states

and niggers

Elon Musk is developing new battery technology.

Exactly.

GM cars suck dick made in mexico / china can get a fucking Toyota and have every god damn decal say made in America. Parents owned GM every brand no matter wtf it was it failed. Only decent American car company is fucking ford and he was tight with Hitler my nigga Henry got the ford and wrote the international jew. GM is a company ran by shills and it's CEO is a fucking undercover mossad kike. That's why they do this shit. At least Tesla doesn't get wrecked in 5 years of ownership. 100,000 mile warranty gone? Oh shit your GMC car is shit. Only decent ones are fiat in Europe only fucking GMC brand car that works see 1980 fiats all over the fucking road. Fiat still owned by chevy or chrysler kikler brand ? Not sure OP but it's a such a shit company. Why would they ban things that offend them? Better cars? OH shit time to shill out and ban it. It's like free speech brother if a company bans shit like GMC is and is suing people for making better cars like the splc is suing andrew anglin why the fuck you give a shit? Made in Isreal buy a gmc car shill the fuck out not me bro hyundai korean or gtfo 1488 everyone

Your id says pooshit

>lobbying from GM and dealership associations

Yeah, because they are required to sell via dealerships while Tesla isn't because muh electricity

If they amended the law either way this wouldn't be an issue.

so what happens when the world runs out of lithium

Are you sure it's because of lobbying? or that there are no electric ((((fueling)))) stations in those states?

Probably because you do not understand libertarianism.

Let's play stop the liberal arts student being graded on his shilling ability!

I give you an D+

Started out with a decent concept but you don't know your current audience well engough to have any effect. Very disappointing!
