So why do americans still think that they "won" WW2 in Europe?
They got in late of the game, the Wehrmacht was in tatters with little to no equipment/materials and all the original elite Waffen-SS members had been killed years ago in the eastern front.
they left the victory on the field and America went and grabed it
Christopher Smith
I guess we didn't win it by ourselves, but we did win. You can't deny that.
Landon Wood
Yeha you're right Germans won WW2. They did an epic holocausterino and a switcheroo and ended up getting so much economic aid they are a world level economy now.
Gavin Morales
Guess they shouldn't have opened an Eastern front then if your so stupid as to send your whole army East while your current enemy is sitting to the West you deserve to get your shit pushed in
Jason Perez
American here, I don't think that. I've studies Russian history during WWII and to me it seems that they were the primary player. We did our part, though.
Ethan Diaz
americans supplied gigantic quantities of food and oil to the soviet union, also precious metals, weapons, munitions and hundreds of thousands of trucks. by the late war i think like 70% of the russian forces were mobilized with lend-lease trucks. without them they would not have been able to defeat germany as effectively.
also the allied landings in italy and normandy forced hitler to transfer large tank divisions, including all of the elite waffen SS heavy tank divisions, to western europe.
of course hitler being the dumbass that he was and not listening to rommel, decided to keep these tank divisions far away from the coast, allowing the allies to land safely with little resistance and establish a beachhead. imagine what omaha would have looked like if fucking SS tigers were standing on the ridge.
Bentley Torres
We fight against the Nazis only for Hitler to be right by degeneracy plaguing our countries. We died for this and we got karma in return. We didn't win for shit, we lost.
Benjamin White
>So why do americans still think that they "won" WW2 in Europe?
Because we did. America turned its entire capitalistic might into a massive war machine.
All of Americas manufacturing started churning everything needed to wage the largest war in human history.
We single-handedly provided everything necessary to keep both England and Russia in the War. Had we not, Germany would have taken England, and then with only 1 front, rolled over Russia.
>A total of $50.1 billion (equivalent to $667 billion today) worth of supplies was shipped.
Samuel Wilson
Without Jewmerican support both financially and militarily the "victory" probably wouldn't ave been possible. It's true that the ruskies did all the hardest fighting though.
Austin Walker
Well said
Lincoln Hughes
> when you realize that's less than we spent in fucking iraq
goddamn what even happened to this country
Ayden Edwards
How wud D-day look without us
Logan Howard
Iraq is a fucking joke just like all the 'wars' youre getting into nowadays
Caleb Green
Well, their lend-lease did contribute massively to the war effort, but most of the chest-thumping Americans think they were the champion of the European theatre in WWII because their film industry says so; there are no Brits, Canadians, French Resistance or Free Polish in Saving Private Ryan or Fury. In terms of direct combat, America was simply extra meat and guns for the British commanders in Europe (Pacific is a completely different story).
Andrew Kelly
> Their Lend lease to USSR, GB and France and other
implying their economy and industrial output didn't guarantee the victory.:|
Jonathan Fisher
Because they were shipping weaponry and equipment to the Russians and British long before they physically entered the war.
Russia never stood a chance without their support.
Carter Butler
Why are we still in Afghanistan?
Echoes from WWII, in a way. Israel is the perpetual victim and always demand that the USA do their work for them.
Sebastian Martin
Hitler liked it when Eva Braun got fucked by Ethiopian Jews while he watched.
Gabriel Reed
We did not win. The wrong side won and we know. However it's too late for that now.
Camden Perry
We made up the majority of allied soldiers in Europe during WWII.
Also Eisenhower was the supreme commander of ALL allied forces in Europe, not a brit.
Jack Myers
Because we turned the tide of the war.
You faggots were loosing till we stepped in, admit it. Up until we pulled out our big white nuclear cock, and gave you faggots food, you were surely about to loose.
Props to Germany for the best attempt and world domination, lol.
Also, how the fuck can you be considered a "master"-race when you put people in concentration camps, "gas" them, and completely lack any sort of humanity. Or did Jews just get put in camps and starve to death because of the sanctions?
Did you know America had concentration camps of German P.O.W.s? Did you know that Hitler sent money on behalf of their welfare? They had it so good they were burying food. Do you not think this wasn't a competition to Hitler to treat his P.O.W.s (those in concentration camps) the same?
Jews did get experimented on, they were treated like trash by low ranking soldiers, but the more I look into it, the more it seems like "Holocaust" seems exaggerated beyond belief.
Alexander Morales
Eisenhower was a political move. The majority of ops in Europe were led by Brit commanders like Market Garden.
