Which is the best DNA analysis service? Pic related and AncestryDNA are the most mentioned around here. Are they both basically the same thing or do they complement each other? I'm specially interested in health information.
Also, any of you abandoned racism upon discovering you have some of the negro/jew in you?
>willingly giving your DNA to a multinational company
Shiggy diggy.
Isaiah Mitchell
Can't they collect it from my drain or trash can if they really want it, anyway?
Nathan Morgan
What's wrong with that?
Eli Martin
They told me at a very low confidence level that I may have 0.1% sub-Saharan African DNA. I call bullshit. Ultimately a waste of money but my dad was adopted by Jews so I wanted to know what his side essentially added to the equation and found out he's got pretty substantial Irish roots so that was cool enough. For anyone who knows where their relatives (immediate ones) come from, it's a waste of money and time.
Also, with them "having your DNA", I don't think it'll ultimately make any difference unless you're some high-level anti-globalist type who they'd try to destroy for political purposes. Worst case scenario is that they clone you into an army of cyborg warriors so who cares? If not you, it'll be someone else anyways.
Daniel Perry
Obviously of jewish decent
Aiden Richardson
medfag here, was at a lecture about medical genetics a while back
professor told us about this service in particular, and how it's pseudoscience that's hardly any better than astronomy
William Russell
23andme collects and sells your information. no thanks
Chase Howard
meant astrology of course
Blake Jenkins
Did he have any proof to back up his claims?
Justin Thomas
>Also, any of you abandoned racism upon discovering you have some of the negro/jew in you? ...
>Wow, I'm 0.3% black and 0.2% Jewish, I don't notice patterns anymore!
Camden Anderson
who is paying you to market this? should be paying me. wouldnt be so damn obvious.
Aaron Edwards
yeah, again this was some months back and I wasn't making notes since it wouldn't be on the exam. He had a PhD in evolutionary biology and apparently one of the top guys when it comes to medical genetics and human evolution.
i'm sorry to say that I can't recall what he said about 23andme but all I noted down was "it's bullshit" lmao.
Isaiah Long
Pardon me if I don't just take your word for it then. Sounds a lot like an appeal to authority fallacy if you ask me.
Wyatt Martin
>I heard it from my college professor
This is the problem
Alexander Davis
>le fallacy meme >one of the most knowledgeable people in that field dismisses some pop-science aimed at "we was kangz" obsessed americans ait
do you not believe in higher education? are all doctors, engineers, chemists, biologists, mathematicians, physicists and computer scientists unreliable zionist puppets? if you take memes this seriously, it's time to rethink some stuff.
Jace Gutierrez
There is no meme /nu-pol/, the only meme is Sweden.
There is an undeniable left wing bias at universities.
Adam Baker
Wow, instead of admitting your mistake, or quietly abandoning the thread you just dug your heels in deeper with the appeal to authority shit.
Tell me, why should I trust the second hand account of what a biology professor said over the research done by companies like 23andme? You're welcome to read through any of their works and refute any part of them if you like or link to me someone else who has done it for you. Until you can provide proof of your claims please just fuck off with your "muh professor said so" shit.
Elijah Gomez
I'd be fine with finding out I am like 5% ashkenazy or something. They may be evil, but they're fucking smart.
Brayden Anderson
kek same
My brother looks somewhat Jewish so I wouldn't be surprised if I had a little bit of Jewish in me. As long as I'm over 90% White I'm content.
Michael Gray
>There is an undeniable left wing bias at universities. among social sciences, yes. My question still stands: do you not believe in higher education? are the STEM fields not to your approval as well? >here is no meme /nu-pol/ i've been here since it was /news/ faggot
Wow, instead of admitting your mistake, or quietly abandoning the thread you just dug your heels in deeper with the appeal to authority shit. what mistake did I make dipshit. >Tell me, why should I trust the second hand account of what a biology professor said over the research done by companies like 23andme? then don't. why should you believe anything I'd write as valid information that points against 23andme as well? mite as well just've made that up. it's anecdotal evidence and i never claimed it to be anything else. a top guy in the field said it's bullshit, that's all I had to say about it. with you faggots disbelieving climate change despite the thousands of independent, peer-review reports with year-spanning observations due to what some alt-right faggot wrote on his blog, I don't think most of you have high standards.
Jordan Rodriguez
>why should you believe anything I'd write as valid information that points against 23andme as well?
Nigger, I don't give a shit what you write. Link me some peer-reviewed reports that refute any of the ones done by 23andme or fuck off already. Your words and the words of your supposed professor mean nothing to me.
Joshua Perry
Two things about 23andme: 1) The FDA got all up in their business about providing "medical tests" currently 23&me's health reports are lobotomized. Download your raw data and find some websites (overseas or whatever) that still give full info.
2.) 23&me's ancestry has been getting a bit strange. People that used to get results of high percentage of European are now getting a few non-white "hits". Someone may be mucking with the system to mess with racialists.
Benjamin James
Hey dipshit, plenty of actual biologists will tell you that it is entirely possible to determine with near 100% accuracy where someone originates from based on groups of alleles. Even the ultimate cuck, Richard Dawkins, agrees.
The only "educated" people that spout the "race isn't a real thing, everyone's DNA is the same" bullshit are mega-SJW negroid-ass-kissing college professors.
Ryder Martin
>Paying Google to sell your DNA. >Not being able to trace your bloodline through the centuries.
Keep pleb, man.
Nathaniel Gonzalez
no one's words mean nothing yet you only refute mine. show me where in the thread where anyone in the thread linked a peer-reviewed report.
i'm not saying you're wrong, on the contrary. you shouldn't take random shit someone says on the grapevine as facts. just remember to have the same standards when you read the other posts.
>Hey dipshit, plenty of actual biologists will tell you that it is entirely possible to determine with near 100% accuracy where someone originates from based on groups of alleles. Even the ultimate cuck, Richard Dawkins, agrees. show me where I said anything that denies this >The only "educated" people that spout the "race isn't a real thing, everyone's DNA is the same" bullshit are mega-SJW negroid-ass-kissing college professors. if you're gonna talk about "fallacies", look up the strawman fallacy.
>"race isn't a real thing, everyone's DNA is the same" shit I tried to ctrl + f this but it doesn't show up anywhere except for your post. must've missed something
Owen Collins
You're the only one in this thread making claims like 23andme is pseudoscience. Others in the thread are expressing skepticism over having the DNA publicly available, no one one other than you is denying that it works in the first place. Show me where in the thread anyone else is saying that the whole thing is bullshit so I can call them retarded too.
Gabriel Walker
makes a pretty straight-forward claim
again, I agree with you, don't take my word for it. I just pitched in my two cents, as everyone else in the thread.
Elijah Lewis
you are a faggot
Jaxson Torres
>>one of the most knowledgeable people in that field dismisses some pop-science aimed at "we was kangz" obsessed americans >Swedish quality education >no bias
Luis Miller
oh no ad hominem better throw a fit
Josiah Thomas
>you have nigger blood >says bullshit
That would work if every result had nigger blood but they don't. Pic related.
Ian Rodriguez
>any of you abandoned racism upon discovering you have some of the negro/jew in you?
No, but I won't breed (if I had the chance anyway) so that these genes can't propagate further.
Nolan Perry
...
Connor Bailey
>implying everyone goes into STEM >what elephants in the room? >pic related
Lucas Walker
The problem is that you aren't contributing two cents, you are contributing negative value. Spreading misinformation, disinformation, rumors or outright lies do nothing but harm the dialogue, not help it. If people didn't point out bullshit like what you're spewing, some poor fool might wander in to the thread, take what you said at face value, and leave worse off than had he never read it at all. That's not pitching in your two cents, that's just downright evil. So again, take your "muh professor" shit and shove it up your ass.
Christian White
>home of the Nobel Prize >most scientific contributions of any Scandinavian country >read some memes online that sweden is LITERALLY brainwashed >buy into it 100% you got me, Igor. Our doctors aren't actually doctors; all our lectures are about gender studies and denying racial differences. Here's a sneak peak of my daily schedual: >9 am >half hour of bowing my head in shame for being white >9:30 >suck abdul dick for an hour >lunch break >only vegan food allowed >12:15 >surgery lessons but except for scalpels we use our feelings >13:15 >gynecology lecture >cancelled because there are no women or men, only human beings >14:00 >head trauma treatment but using somalian herb medicines for medical diversity >15:30 >histology lab >student points out that he found melanin in one of the skin preparation >get sent to Correct Opinion Correctional Facility
since our universities abandoned science for political correctness, our people have been dying en masse. My best friend broke his leg but everyone in the E.R didn't know any medical procedures so he bled out on the operating table while the surgeons were talking about cultural appropriation
Hudson Wood
Are politics and city planning considered STEM subjects in america? ;^)
Levi Johnson
Also no one is denying climate change, people are denying if it's directly caused by humans or not as the earth's climate changes very frequently (little ice age fyi.).
Genetic testing is not fully accurate but it gives you a broad speculation, enough to differentiate between a German or Italian for example.
Jaxon Walker
>read some memes online that sweden is LITERALLY brainwashed Gee, It's just memes amirite
Jose Rivera
>Also, any of you abandoned racism upon discovering you have some of the negro/jew in you?
Can't speak to that, senpai.
Jeremiah Martin
>Also no one is denying climate change, people are denying if it's directly caused by humans or not as the earth's climate changes very frequently (little ice age fyi.). but Igor, practically every serious scientist have shown the correlation between man's activities and change in climates. Do you also believe freons don't harm the ozone layers? that elevated methane gas levels doesn't contribute to heat being contained for longer period of times?
oh shit, why would you care about that. there was, after all, an ice age 10,000 years ago. and yesterday was pretty chilly. besides, an anonymous poster on an anime website told me it was bullshit.
scientists don't real when I don't feel like beliving it right?
also don't you hate when SJWs deny statistics of race correlated to crime? imagine being so dumb that you take your own feelings over hard facts, for it to fit your world view.
Cooper Diaz
I expect the first country in the world to have feminist STEM studies will be Sweden, if they don't already.
Carson Taylor
meant for:
Ryder Smith
ooh a rare earthquake land flag
Daniel Hall
They have, but no one has yet to prove that man is the main cause. Yea, one 10,000 years ago, and a period called "Little Ice Age" just 2 centuries ago. Climate literally changes drastically very often.
John Long
>Why would you disbelieve STEM fields?
>"look at this social science fiasco in sweden LOL!"
>that doesn't have anything to do with STEM
>"well if ANY country WOULD have feminist stem, it would be sweden"
count on american flags on Sup Forums to bring the quality discussion
James Walker
Why do that when you are stupid enough to pay them to do it?
Landon Cooper
>climate.nasa.gov/scientific-consensus/ >Multiple studies published in peer-reviewed scientific journals1 show that 97 percent or more of actively publishing climate scientists agree: Climate-warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities
hehe, stupid scientists! ever heard of a little thing called the ICE AGE??? LOLLL
Why believe jewish sjw feminist NASA lies when you can listen to alex jones?
edit: Thanks for the gold kind redditor! I hate how people take feelings and intuition over scientific facts
Gavin Perry
You know it's coming. Don't play dumb.
Chase Johnson
I was reading some shit a while back and it was saying your health insurer can look at it and deny you health care or something based on predispositions to diseases certain races or regions have/had
Kevin Davis
hey man my stem, bio professor told me 23 and me is totally legit and his power level is way higher than your fag professor your move bitch
Juan Wright
count on swedish flags on /pol to bring no discussion
Logan Smith
>scientific fields have a left wing bias >"no what are you talking about retard, cant have a left wing bias when it comes to fucking science fields" >look at this bullshit example >"what? this has nothing to do with stem fields" >well you know it's about to happen anyways
Nicholas Davis
>NASA You probably think the pictures of Earth they give are completely legit too, right? >NASA said that 97% of climate scientists think this, so it must be true! Better buy the pricier "alternative energy sources" now! Climate change has not been observed in the 21st century. It also makes sense for climate to raise drastically after a major decrease. Due to the obvious investment corporations do in politicians, It's extremely, extremely likely that corporations also invest in NASA to push their product agenda.
Elijah Ross
>hmmm Goldstein, look at this goys data. His DNA shows that he has compatible organs with you! Maybe he should have an accident?
Gabriel Lee
23andme IS OWNED BY JEWS
I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THESE KIKES YOUR MONEY .
Lucas Phillips
Swedes everyone, rely on greentext strawman stories for their arguments.
Jaxson Rivera
>just because 97% of professionals agree doesn't mean I don't know better ok
Ryan Hernandez
it's not a story, it's a summary of your """argument""""
you linked an article about snow plowing when we were talking about the legitimacy of STEM fields, and then you fell back on "You know it's coming. Don't play dumb." (direct quote)
just stop dude
Austin Jenkins
I'm not self conscious enough to care. I'm some mix of dutch and irish with pale skin. that's all I know and that's all I care.
No way I'm paying money for that.
Carter Walker
>Just because NASA says that 97% of climate scientists agree, it must be true that 97% of scientists agree on that issue. Because NASA said they did their research. I trust NASA. Oh yes, because It's not been public that NASA whines about funding? Those corporations that are just ready to sell expensive alternative energy equipment could have not totally paid them!
Nathaniel Davis
I've taken the AncestryDNA shit and just got into Lab Processing after 7 weeks, shit takes forever.
Lucas Johnson
Kek
Hunter Cook
so you don't believe NASA, UN or any major science faction? because they MAY be involved in some conspiracy you made up on the spot?
what science outlet is to be believed, according to you? (who know better than most respected and recognized scientific institution)
Benjamin Jenkins
>claims to have "been here all summer guys" >can't recognize he is talking to more than one person
Take your own advice, meatball.
Isaiah Ross
The cuck is right, these sites just compare your results to others in their database and if you match to the others they put you in that group. >actually thinking they will analyze your DNA for exact origin for 100 shekels instead of selling the information off
Elijah Brown
>Also, any of you abandoned racism upon discovering you have some of the negro/jew in you?
no.
Cooper Russell
You don't get it. Reason will become racist and sexist even in fields you thought were mathematically bulletproof. STEM is not immune from these people. I'm not even willing to say that engineering, physics, and computer science won't be perverted by the future teachers and structures of the curriculum wedging their philosophy between the lines. They have their fucking eyes set on pushing STEM under identity politics.
Jackson Ramirez
that's a lot of inbreeding.
John Murphy
but that has yet to happened and is pure speculation, so to disclaim STEM sciences as of now as having a far left bias is nothing short of a lie
that's the last thing I will say on this matter, you're resorting to speculating on what may or may not happen to Sweden's higher educational systems in a near future. I don't that's worthwhile for anyone
William Diaz
>Also, any of you abandoned racism upon discovering you have some of the negro/jew in you?
My cousin used to work for one of those places and found out that they make it a matter of internal policy to send pure white people information that says they have black/native/asian blood in the mix when they actually don't.
Kevin Perry
damn right, i got red hair, green eyes, and a cocktail of mental disorders
Benjamin King
>UN That's the worst organization you can name.
No news or science outlet should be "believed". You should understand the news on either of those, and make your own sense of it. "Can this be possible considering this, is this necessary true considering this, does this organization have a faulty past, is it trustworthy, what are the sources, how many sources, who wrote the sources, could it not be something else" etc.
Zachary Russell
Just drop by your local police station. They'll be happy to take your DNA for free.
Charles Cooper
>tfw 0.2% jewish
Aiden James
shit guys I submitted to 23andme out of interest for genetic health markers. Now I'm worried they'll sell my info to insurance companies or hand it over to the government. Should I really be worried? Is it too late to cancel and remove my data?
Ryan Edwards
so if I claim that I "choose" not to believe that the Earth is more than 8000 years old, do you think that's a valid, reasonable opinion?
after all, those geologists have anti-christian agendas and need funding. besides, if earth was so old why hasn't it evolved to a star yet? I, too, will stop believing scientific facts and statistics when it doesn't suit my look on the world. Blacks having a higher rate of crime? I don't think so, Nazi lies!
Chase Nguyen
If you were born in a hospital your DNA is in already in a database somewhere
Brandon Sanders
you're not alone
Brandon Diaz
I'm a wise owl. I see the future because I see the present. As a computer scientist myself, I don't discount computer science. That would make no sense. Instead I understand the failures of universities letting schools of thought infect their entire professor-peer networks. Students in a STEM subject rarely exclusively take STEM classes. You should know that. That's the larger point. The elephant in the room of academia: leftist indoctrination.
Caleb Kelly
Nope. There's actually empirical evidence about the age of the earth, or at least it extending way more than 8000 years, It's really not an argument. While man-made global warming is just a weak hypothesis.
Carter Rogers
>did you get less raycis after learning you're part jew/negro Nope, cause I'm not. Not a single drop of Jew or Negroid in me, feels good man
