>Ten guys jump one, what a man >You fight each other, and you let (((them))) win. >Stab your backs when you trash our halls >Trash a bank if you've got real balls
>Think hammers and sickles look cool >The real commies run your schools >They're mayors, professors and chucks >With real communism you'll be the first to go
fucking hate leftists, but still want to listen to NOFX. it's hard
Brandon Cook
Yeah it's a weird thing. I still listen to all kinds of anti establishment punk and honestly it only takes a couple of tweaks to flip the shit right on those antifa faggots
Logan Ross
Like could you imagine what would be going through their heads if the right was screaming >Commie punks fuck off
Kek
James Ortiz
tough shit normie
Lincoln Perry
i listen to a lot of metal these days though. specifically baroness. gets me super pumped up like punk but seems pretty based and reverent of southern culture. also a bunch of dudes in the band are ex army rangers. legit bad asses who make good music.
Nathaniel Young
It's nazi punks
Grayson Peterson
>take back punk There's always been right-leaning punk, though, like GISM who's been spewing some weird combination of neo-nazi and right-wing anarchy messages since the 80s
Idk I feel it's akin to hijacking the "ok" symbol. Let's turn this shit around on them, and completely disarm them.
Dominic Young
So maybe >take back punk was the wrong wording, mostly I just want to use their own vitriol against them
Justin Jackson
>NOFX I know right?! thought they were the coolest when I was 13. I then started playing instruments, and realize how fucking awful they are.
There's good punk music out there. That's certainly not it though.
Adrian Allen
I like warfare 88's songs peace punks are hippies with mohawks and I dont like you. Plus the disc never mind the bollocks "helped" me during hard times. Punk rock makes my heartbeats go to the roof, I love it.
Xavier Reyes
I know
Gabriel Turner
If you like this music and are above the age of 18, you are part of the problem.
Matthew Moore
Wtf I'm trying to respond but this shit thinks I'm spamming....
Ok so that worked... anyway I was trying to say that I will check them out and thank you user... let's see if this goes thru...
Chase Ross
it went through. blue album is best imho. one of the guys in the band lost an eye in an ambush in afganistan or something. he wrote a song about it called "steel that sleeps the eye" thats fucking glorious. also the song "war wisdom and rhyme" will make you want to ride into battle
Zachary Ortiz
I used to play in a punk band and wrote very anti communist stuff and no one noticed.
Brayden Morris
The way to do this is not to just go out and like things, but to make great punk music that's espouses conservative views. If you can make ano undeniably good song then people will listen to it.
Ethan Howard
The Dead Kennedys, overall, are awful. They've got a few good songs.
Punk as an image has been co-opted by crusties and gutter punks. But go to any notoriously working class city-- Chicago, Boston, etc-- you're going to find mostly apolitical/right leaning punk scenes.
not true in boston. i'm from here and have gone to shows for 10+ years. closest thing you'll find are the lockin out bands which are massively in debt to the musical style of nyhc and the lyrical style, to a lesser extent, they don't have openly nationalist shit in their songs but there's definitely some un-pc lyrics on the rampage lp and some rival mob stuff slightly less true in chicago, i think, though i am more familiar with their noise/avant scene where there are a fair amount of transgressive acts that sometimes use such imagery
Adam Jenkins
Punk is just doing whatever you can with whatever you have.
You could skip/drop the message some (((bands))) inject and enjoy the music as another form of entertainment - I've been doing that from the beginning.
