You don't understand the concept of "observation" as used in QM. It's not consciousness or human eyeballs. It's that quantum particles are so small that literally any physical interaction changes them, so you can't set up a measurement of quantum phenomena without altering the results in some way. Wave particle duality is another weird one, and I have my own suspicions about how that really works (pilot wave theory), but it's not magic. Kill every sentient animal in the world and the dual slit experiment would turn out the same way, although there would be nobody to care.
