>The bloc threatened legal action over the law that could close the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, founded by billionaire George Soros.
>"Prime Minister Orban committed himself in the EPP council to follow and implement all the demands of the European Commission within the deadline set by the commission," said Siegfried Muresan, a spokesman for EPP President Joseph Daul.
>Mr Orban, who has angered many in the EU with his hardline stance on asylum seekers, has not yet commented and a spokeswoman declined to say what he had told the meeting.
>The EPP has threatened Fidesz with possible expulsion over the issue.
>"The EPP demanded from Fidesz and from the Hungarian authorities that they take all necessary steps to comply with the commission's request. Prime Minister Orban has reassured the EPP that Hungary will act accordingly," he added.
>The Hungarian government's Higher Education Act would mean the CEU in Budapest would be unable to award diplomas because it is registered in the US.
>But the European Commission ruled that the law was not compatible with the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
Is it true Hungary gets more out of the EU in development funds than they pay in? Because if it is, while I like Orban, he can't really belong to the EUSSR on the one hand and not be part of the daisychain of liberal retardation they impose. This is what happens when small countries join blocs.
Here he was just a few days ago, naming The Literal WhoJew

This is your fate, EU members. The first step toward the erasure of your identity. When you are an old man, children on the streets will curse you as you walk down the paths your fathers laid.

>still trying to push shitskins on our glorious land EU will never learns
Parker Nguyen
That is true. The second part is not necessarily true. Poland managed to get away with passing conservative abortion laws and while they piss and moan about it, Hungary has gotten away with shutting their borders and cracking down on the asylum scheme.
The difference here is that a billionaire kikelord with entirely too much influence got directly involved.
Brody Edwards
Quick rundown on the education law pls.
Nathan Ross
The law mandated that all universities in Hungary operate a campus in the nation in which they're headquartered to receive accreditation in Hungary. The Soros founded CEU is based in New York and operates no campus in the United States. The media pushed the narrative that this law was targeting CEU specifically because CEU didn't meet the requirements of the new law, although it would've applied to several other Universities with no ties to Soros. I'm not sure the EU truly had any legal case against Hungary; however they succeeded in convincing the EU party EPP (to which Orban's Fidesz party belong) to threaten him with expulsion of Fidesz. I assume this would hinder whatever influence Hungary has in EU parliament.
TLDR democracy is a mistake.

If the large European nations, Germany and France would have a patriot leader like Orban, just think how great the EU would be.
Instead, they have Merkel and probably Macron.
What the fuckity fuck is wrong with you krauts and baguettes? You've had it too good for too long. Cucks.
Isaiah Morgan
Haven't European leaders learned from Brexit or American history? What happens when an overreaching bureaucracy goes too far?
EU split/civil war when?

Don't be silly. The children will know their parents don't speak Arabic.

I agree that the idea of the EU, even a federal Europe could be good and I also agree it's completely ruined by spineless French, Germans and Swedes. Shame.
Carson Martinez
he won't do anything like that. the law will stand. Orban has chained his domestic reputation to it by now. I'd much like to see some of his advisors being fired for this debacle, but now that he has the leftists in a frenzy, he should stay because if the leftists gain power, they'll create a bolshevik state in order to treat their ptsd. Orbán's main challenger right now is a guy called László Botka, candidate of the Socialist Party, whose campaign slogan is 'let the rich pay', and who announced on MSM that his ultimate goal is equality of wealth.
Lincoln Long
I can't figure out why when three Europeans get together, they immediately form 7 committees between them. They form new ones every day, and two hundred years of studying the modern growth of government indicates that when bureaucracies are created they will literally murder human beings in order to continue to live. There has never been an organ of government that voluntarily shut down because it was inefficient, ineffective, duplicative of another organ or because its task had been done.
This is mostly our fault, we infantilized the Germans.
Nolan Brown
Has Vona really torpedoed Jobbik that badly? Also can I get a quick rundown on 'Momentum'.
Elijah Barnes
vona tried to move towards the center, toning down his message but it cost him as much as he gained. now he's playing tough against Orbán (the country is full of his billboard ads right now stating 'you work, they steal, that's why healthcare is in shambles' and suchlike). we shall see whether he'll profit from it, my guess is not really.
momentum is sinking fast. unless they manage to monopolize resistance some new mistake of the government, they are finished. there's some suspicion I fully share btw. according to which they are controlled opposition who helped Fidesz out from the olympic catastrophe they themselves realized would be disastruous, because Fidesz can afford to lose to evil opposition forces but cannot afford to change its mind and therefore show itself to be fallible. Momentum is led by the son of some high official of Fidesz, they sailed smoothly through the obstacles of proposing a plebiscite (christian democrat's hobby horse of closing most shops on Sundays was protected for more than a year by the same mechanisms), and when the olympic bid was withdrawn as soon as the signatures asking for a plebiscite were delivered, Fidesz blamed it 'on the opposition' "they've slaughtered our dreams" etc.
Jack Sanchez
Ofcourse he bent the knee. Orban just talks tough to get voters. But at the end of the day he still sucks the cock of the eu, pretty disgusting desu.
Asher Ortiz
>Vona tried to move towards the centre
The party is left-wing to begin with. They support creating state-owned banks, factories, laws to limit the sale of land and even a state-run compulsory boarding school for gypsies.

>>But the European Commission ruled that the law was not compatible with the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. Da fuck? Whats the point of having democracy and your own governments when you can't even pass a law by elected officials?

Seriously, you should kill yourself. Sooner the better.
Tyler Morales
So what is the EU going to do when the shitskin rapists realize they get killed by vigilante groups for rape and rather than gibs they get to die in the streets? Opening borders is only necessary to get illegals to settle there, not sufficient.
Joseph Carter
Same thing as what they've been doing until now. Slap on the hand for raping and killing people for migrants, 5 years prison and public shaming if you write something slightly anti migrant on facebook.
Robert Price
If you don't like the rules of the club then don't join. The EU should never have let Hungary in.

The rules of the club were "we make international trade among European countries easier, it's just a trade deal, goy" when they joined.

actualy its just half truth and the western media again dont know shit. its 2 school in 1. orban just said he dont attack the european part. but he will do the liberal usa part. and he already built his next campaign to this shit. if he back of he will lose lots of votes. imagine trump said durning his campaing sorry guys we dont build the wall...
