Curious bump

>reveals

Literally an interpretation of pictures. You can dress that up by emphasizing SCIENCE if you want, but this is closer to social science talking about manspreading than it is to physics.

>modern atheist scientists
>believe ancient stone tablet
>disregard bible
ok stay in denial

Oh Jesus they're actually basing this horseshit on their own interpretations of the animals they think they see being correlated to zodiac signs we know TODAY.

As if every single person who looks up to the sky sees a fucking scorpion where we say scorpio lies today, let alone 10 000 years ago in a civilization we know nothing about.

Statistical analysis my fucking ass.

> Although its relative position is not very
accurate, we suggest the artist(s) of pillar 43 were
constrained by the shape of the pillar.

So even when they're making up the correspondences, they also have to admit their own made up star sign hypothesis does not line up. But no worries, they just invent another reason to explain it away.

This sure is "science".

If you just turn it the right way and squint you see the face of Jesus.

>One could argue that the form of the carving of the longnecked bird does not precisely fit the Libra constellation in terms of the position of corresponding stars. However, this symbol remains partly obscured, and moreover it is possible the artist(s) of Pillar 43 did not intend to depict an accurate star-map of the sky

More excuses undercutting the foundation of their own idea. "Perhaps, could be, might be interpreted as, one could argue" - more weasel words than content.

>This suggests an interpretation for the little headless man at the bottom; it is indicating probably the worst day ever in human history since the end of the ice age; the hypothetical YD catastrophe

They've now "imagined" the zodiac based on small coincidences, extrapolated that it must be the zodiac despite admitting it doesn't fit, then hypothesized another set of symbols mean the sun and are supposed to give an exact date, then guessed at what that date would be, if they were right about their other guesses, then now try to tie that into a guess about another figure..

This is like reading a crazy person's justification for why the graffiti on the subway is a message from space. If you just assume enough things eventually you can make up any story.

Academia is full of this shit. Peer review is an ongoing joke.

Next meteor strike when ?
Humanity needs a new jumpstart.

Graham Hancock was right!

so an ancient dude saw this event happen, didnt attribute it to the sky gods but to science instead, and survived the aftermath which is what started civilization??!?

The red parts of this map used to be land. Daily reminder that sea levels around the world were about 400 feet lower just before the end of the last Ice Age.

Near the end of the last Ice Age about 12,800 years ago, a giant comet that had entered the Solar System from deep space thousands of years earlier, broke into multiple fragments. Some of these fragments struck Earth, causing a global cataclysm unseen since the extinction of the dinosaurs. At least eight of the fragments hit the North American ice cap, while further fragments hit the Northern European ice cap. The impacts, from comet fragments a mile wide approaching at more than 60,000 miles an hour, generated huge amounts of heat which instantly liquidised millions of square kilometres of ice, destabilising Earth's crust and causing the global flood that is remembered in myths all around the world.

A second series of impacts, equally devastasting, causing further cataclysmic flooding, occurred about 11,600 years ago, the exact date that Plato gives for the destruction and submergence of Atlantis. The evidence for all of this shows beyond reasonable doubt that a civilisation at least as technologically advanced as 19th-century England at the onset of the Industrial Revolution (if not more technologically advanced) that flourished during the last Ice Age was destroyed in the global cataclysms between approximately 12,800 years ago and also approximately 11,600 years ago.

A distant memory and a warning to the future - for the comet that wrought such destruction in remote antiquity may not be done with us yet.

The Chiloe Archipielago was connected just like in the serpents legend.

>the evidence for all of this shows beyond reasonable doubt that a civilisation at least as technologically advanced as 19th-century England at the onset of the Industrial Revolution

How did you jump to this exactly?

Ignore this shill fuck. We need threads like this now more than ever before. We do not have a future if we do not have a past.

The emergence from the last glacial period corresponds perfectly to the same orbital forcing we've seen in the paleoclimate record for at least the past 5my. There was nothing sudden or cataclysmic about sea level increases, which took place over a period of about a thousand years.

Gib proofs wite boi

>which took place over a period of about a thousand years.
Er, 10 thousand years.

I think you forgot to color in where Atlantis was

It's goatse!

its down there at the bottom

No, something very sudden and catastrophic happened thousands of years ago - namely fragments of a fucking comet smashed into Earth.

Antarctica is Atlantis. Remember that Plato said that Atlantis was larger than Asia Minor (present-day Turkey) and Libya (which in those days referred to Northern Africa minus Egypt) combined. Antarctica is larger than Asia Minor and Libya combined. Read up on Charles Hapgood's theory of crustal displacement and keep in mind that Charles Hapgood died suddenly in (((suspicious circumstances))). Antarctica (Atlantis in those days) used to be near the equator and thus had a tropical climate. Also, Plato said that there were elephants and bananas in Atlantis. Elephants and bananas naturally exist ONLY in tropical climates. Crustal displacement made Atlantis slide southward to its present position.

Cute larp of /x/, but no data show this.

This was the sort of major event earth shattering that only happens very rarely. I think we're headed for another such event. Maybe a nuclear war. Maybe AI sentience. Maybe full automation. Who knows but we're headed for something on this scale that is going to completely destroy the old society as we know it.

The continent of Atlantis was an island, which lay before the great flood in the area we now call the Atlantic Ocean. So great an area of land that from her western shores those beautiful sailors journeyed to the South and the North Americas with ease in their ships with painted sails. To the East, Africa was a neighbor across a short strait of sea miles.

The great Egyptian age is but a remnant of the Atlantian culture. The antediluvian kings colonised the world. All the Gods who play in the mythological dramas in all legends from all lands were from far Atlantis.

Knowing her fate, Atlantis sent out ships to all corners of the Earth. On board were the Twelve:
The poet, the physician, the farmer, the scientist the magician and the other so-called Gods of our legends. Though Gods they were.
And as the elders of our time choose to remain blind, let us rejoice and let us sing, and dance and ring in the new

Hail Atlantis!

>Previously, humans were largely nomadic hunters that harvested wild grains without establishing permanent locations. The onset of the global cooling led groups of people to begin cultivating crops to endure a harder climate. This gave rise to farming and livestock breeding that we still employ today.

If it wasn't for winter-chan we'd all still be like Africans today.

The evidence we claim for an impact event includes charred carbon-rich layers of soil that have been found at some 50 Clovis sites across North America. We report that layers contain unusual materials (nanodiamonds, metallic microspherules, carbon spherules, magnetic spherules, iridium, platinum, charcoal, soot and fullerenes enriched in helium-3) that we report as evidence of an impact event, at the very bottom of black mats of organic material that marks the beginning of the Younger Dryas period, and cannot be explained by volcanic, anthropogenic and other natural processes.

Can we meme this guy to the same tier as Jordan Peterson.

Trips of truth!

Consider these similarities between Egypt and the Americas:

* Both had huge pyramids precisely aligned to the cardinal points.

* Both had temples with megalithic stones with extremely fine joints of less than a fiftieth of an inch.

* Both had head-dresses of similar style.

* Both employed a unique style of construction using L-shaped corners.

* Both used the same style of metal clamps to hold huge stones in place.

* Both cultures used the process of mummification to preserve and honour their dead.

Is it not reasonable to suggest that the civilisations present in Egypt and the Americas in antiquity are both the legacy of an even earlier civilisation that existed before recorded history as we know it began?

Here are some ancient myths that suggest human histories different to the one taught to us by the academic orthodoxy:

* The Pima tribe of Arizona speak of how their ancestors came from an island at the centre of the world before that island sank beneath the ocean. Leading the relatively few survivors from that island was South Doctor, the heroic progenitor of the Pima tribe. South Doctor was a powerful medicine man. South Doctor held magical crystals in his left hand and guided the survivors from a cataclysmic deluge to safety between the Gilla and Salt Rivers.

* Ancestral traditions throughout Mesoamerican civilisations and Andean civilisations consistently describe their founding fathers as tall, bearded, light-skinned and blonde-haired/red-haired. (end of part 1)

(start of part 2) * The Australian Aborigines recall the 'Land Of Mystery', which is also known as the 'Land Of Perfection'. The 'Land Of Mystery' was a huge city surrounded by four walls, their exterior covered entirely in white quartz. The 'Land Of Mystery' was described as mountainous, volcanic and luxuriant in plant growth, among which stood great buildings of domes and spires - this from a people to whom architecture was unknown until relatively modern times.

* The Incas believed that their civilisation had been founded by Kon-Tiki Viracocha, a red-haired, light-skinned man who appeared in the Andes from the east following a terrible flood.

* Polynesian legends tell us about light-skinned, blonde-haired culture-bearers who fled to the Pacific islands after their homeland sank into the ocean.

(start of part 3) * The Aztecs traced their earliest origins, not to America, but to a vanished island far away across the Sunrise Sea (their name for the Atlantic Ocean). Their founding fathers were culture-bearers from this far away island.

* Several Native American tribes, such as the Menominee of the Upper Great Lakes Region, recount in their oral traditions how a worldwide flood was precipitated by greedy foreigners, the light-skinned 'Marine Men', who dug into the ground to gain riches (especially copper).

(start of part 4) "You Greeks are all young in mind. You have no belief rooted in old tradition and no knowledge hoary with age. And the reason is this: There have been and will be many different calamities to destroy mankind, the greatest of them by fire and water, lesser ones by countless other means...
But in our temples we have preserved from earliest times a written record of any great or splendid achievement or notable event which has come to our ears whether it occurred in your part of the world or here or anywhere else; whereas with you and others, writing and the other necessities of civilisation have only just been developed when the periodic scourge of the deluge descends, and spares none but the unlettered and uncultured, so that you have to begin again like children, in complete ignorance of what happened in our part of the world or in yours in early times...
You remember only one deluge, though there have been many, and you do not know that the finest and best race of men that ever existed lived in your country; you and your fellow citizens are descended from the few survivors that remained, but you know nothing about it because so many succeeding generations left no record in writing." - Timaeus 22d-23c (end)

this video if I recall shows some relation between ancient megaliths which if connected across the globe in a line are postulated to represent a previous equator .. What I can't recall is if that line were the equator whether it would place Antarctica in a tropical zone.

Don't worry, you're both retarded in your own special ways.

Utterly possible. I also believe that the Zodiac symbols we have today (like the constellation of Pisces the fish, for example) have existed for many thousands of years. Yes, it is true that there are some variations of Zodiac symbols here and there (for example, the Babylonians considered the constellation of Pisces to be represented by a sparrow), but the Zodiac symbols we Westerners are familiar with today have nevertheless existed for many thousands of years. Bolstering this argument is the fact that Indian astrology also uses the same Zodiac symbols (for example, Pisces is also represented by a fish in Indian astrology) and Indian mythology itself outright describes human lineages extending over a BILLION years into the past (you can read about these human lineages in the Puranas). This knowledge of astrology and the Zodiac also existed in Ancient Egypt, as demonstrated by the lion-bodied Sphinx (which was originally lion-headed to match its body). The Sphinx had the head of lion because it was created during the Age of Leo, which was between 11,000 to 13,000 years ago, which also means that it was created during the Younger Dryas period. (end of part 1)

(start of part 2) Civilisation is officially recognised as having begun in Sumer about 5,000 years ago, yet the sophisticated ruins at Gobekli Tepe are AT LEAST 3,000 YEARS OLDER. Ancient ruins like Gobekli Tepe and structures like the ancient pyramids around the world (ESPECIALLY the Great Pyramid in Egypt) are a legacy of an older global civilisation that no longer exists. This is the reason why about 5,000 years ago, ancient civilisations in places like Egypt and Sumer seem to have appeared virtually overnight and also seemed to suddenly have knowledge of astronomy, mathematics, agriculture, etc. It's because that knowledge was INHERITED from that previous civilisation (some people call this previous civilisation 'Atlantis', but personally, I think this shit is WAAAAAY BIGGER than Atlantis). When this previous civilisation collapsed, their successor civilisations created structures with certain mathematical principles encoded into them because they knew then (just like we know now) that mathematics is a UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE and that, when the time was right (which is basically now), we'd notice the mathematical principles that they encoded into their structures and that the REASON why they encoded mathematical principles into their structures was because they wanted to bestow upon us a MESSAGE - a MESSAGE that we are now READY to decipher.

...

Bump and interest for bump and interest. Do not let the shills have the day, stop the slide threads.

The Easter Island statues have their hands positioned the same way.

*The Sphinx had the head of a lion

Read Magicians of the Gods by Graham Hancock. The comet impact during the Younger Dryas period about 12,500 years ago, as well as this pillar at Gobekli Tepi is discussed in depth.

Tablet is in too far good of a condition to be real

Such architectural similarities suggest that all of these monuments were built by the same culture and that this culture was global in scope.

This pretty much.

A nice read on the topic: Magicians of the gods, by Graham Hancock. Horrible Title, great book.

>the german and australian with their infodump threads were right

Are you for real, dumbass? Those tablets were BURIED for thousands and thousands of years, OF COURSE they're in good condition - their creators INTENDED them to be in good condition!

What about Gobekli Tepe? I wonder if there would be any corroborating info from there.

Do you guys think it could of been one of the first Caucasian settlements?

Yes, Magicians Of The Gods by Graham Hancock is a fucking amazing book. So is its predecessor, Fingerprints Of The Gods.

So inappropriate to call Anatolian peninsula "turkey" for 12,000 year old events. Fucking Turks were in Mongolia fucking holes in the ground then if they even existed

The Australian is me! kek

Forbes is fucking awesome. Literally one of the only publications anyone with intelligence can still tolerate. Are you a liberal cuckstain lol? Plus they're just linking the actual source, faggot, hahahahaa.

>Buried = no deterioration

No Juan it does not these people dispersed into random millieus of Greeks, Armenian, Kurds etc now any indigenous of Anatolia have been turkified

Dat meteor packed wit melanin magic and made us kangs doe

>Egypt and the Americas:
Many ancient cultures share a common background like you pointed out.

>Is it not reasonable to suggest
And the answer is a resounding yes. But you know, history requires multiple hard proofs. Just because it makes sense, doesn't mean it actually happened.

Whoa you showed us with that deep and logical argument and anime meme. What a complete faggot, and I don't need a little anime girl to point that out.

name something in hardpan more corrosive than the oxygen of the open air

I think he said that because Forbes once gave a virus to thousands of people.

>Near the end of the last Ice Age about 12,800 years ago, a giant comet that had entered the Solar System from deep space thousands of years earlier, broke into multiple fragments. Some of these fragments struck Earth,
Think that's where jews came from?

They buried those pillars as a type of time capsule and they didn't deteriorate because they're made of STONE. Do you even know what stone is, retard? Metals oxidise, but stone doesn't.
A lot of our technology today is metal-based and metals oxidise over time. Our metal skyscrapers, if untouched by humans and unharmed by tsunamis, earthquakes, tornadoes, etc. would probably become dust within 10,000 years. If you want to build structures that will last for eons, you would build those structures using stones.

"Man fears time, but time fears the Pyramids." - Arab proverb

I completely agree with you. It is an injustice to those majestic civilisations of remote antiquity that existed on the land that is now Turkey to say that those civilisations were a part of Turkey. But what can we do? The hand of time eventually erases all nations, no matter how invincible they seem.

...

Again, this is literally nothing.
Global cooling caused humans to move towards settlements and agriculture instead of being nomadic hunters
There is some speculation from scribbles on a rock that the cooling may have been caused by a comet

It's not a "comet impact sparking civilisation" as you keep putting it, that makes it sound much more whimsical and sci-fi than it is.

>It's not a "comet impact sparking civilisation" as you keep putting it, that makes it sound much more whimsical and sci-fi than it is.

This. The Younger Dryas comet impact didn't spark civilisation, it merely caused civilisation to be recreated.

etheric.com/genesis-of-the-cosmos-the-ancient-science-of-continuous-creation/

this book goes into this

Ok lads, if this makes the news and after this will come lots of major new "discoveries" of the same kind, I am legitimately scared because it might be the beginning of that batshit crazy Blue Beam project stuff.

holy shit this is amazing

do you niggers understand the implications

Not really, no.

It's more of a comet impact that almost completely destroyed civilization. And for proof I refer you to the work of Kennet, West, Firestone et al. centered around the mysterious presence of nanodiamonds at a number of sites, primarily in Canada and Northern US. Also, take a look at the black-mat layer present above the Clovis era archaeological sites.

>This. The Younger Dryas comet impact didn't spark civilisation, it merely caused civilisation to be recreated.
>recreated
No that's not even remotely what I'm saying.
Everything we know about how civilisation came to be is exactly the same. There was a global cooling that changed how humans had to live to survive, the origin of that cooling is irrelevant. A comet didn't "spark civilisation" that makes it sound instantaneous, it wasn't, and the comet isn't important the cooling event is the important bit

thousands of years of soil friction worms and other such creatures

>Time capsule
which is why they just opened them and everything was hunky dorrey? Even the things inside of the pyramids were eroded with many needing careful handling and reconditioning in order to avoid them falling apart on touch

Based on what they're working from, it seems fanciful to draw any far-reaching conclusions from it. This stuff is pretty much pure clickbait for different media outlets. I'm all for archaeological research, but I'm not a big fan of wild extrapolations. Then again, sometimes imagination can lead to some amazing things like with Heinrich Schliemann.

(start of part 3) Humans are billions of years old and are not native to Earth. The notion of billions of years old humans is utterly possible as long as you consider humans as being colonisers of Earth. There's a book by Ellis Silver called 'Humans Are Not From Earth: A Scientific Evaluation Of The Evidence'. He says (among other things) that sunburn, our relatively high chance of experiencing back pain and pain during labour are types of evidence that Earth is not an optimal environment for human beings and that we come from elsewhere.

My theory regarding the origin of humanity is that the human species comes from elsewhere in the Milky Way galaxy and, at some point in the distant past, our earliest ancestors colonised vast swathes of the Milky Way galaxy (and are possibly still doing so) and both Mars and Earth were colonised by them along the way. There are pyramidal structures and a Sphinx-like object in various NASA photos of Mars. I also think that a fiercely destructive interplanetary war caused the destruction of a planet that used to exist between Mars and Jupiter, leaving only the asteroid belt that we know today. This war also sterilised Mars, turning what was once a lush, verdant, Earth-like planet into a cold, lifeless desert. (end)

Just like Hancock said
youtube.com/watch?v=27mUzzmeLvU

Literally no implications. There was a cooling event which we already know about, it caused humans to change how they lived at the time planting crops instead of being nomads. The cause of this cooling doesn't matter unless it's truly bizzare, which it isn't. A comet hitting Earth throws up debris into the atmosphere and cools the planet, a volcano could just as easily have caused the exact same conditions. Unless it was aliens (which it wasn't, I repeat: it was not aliens) literally nothing of significance is learned from discovering what caused the cooling event

The Book of Enoch says the angels and giants who were torturing humanity were killed by a lot of rocks thrown down from heaven and then the flood came some time later.

I am detecting a conflation with other hypothesized cyclical cataclysms relating to galactic core outburst driven waves which drive cosmic debris onto in our concern the Sun that then results in a abnormally massive CME which can have catastrophic impact on the earth's surface.

a comet impact doesn't represent a cyclic event.

Great a book of fairy tails was written by ancient sandniggers which were aware sometimes rocks fall from space, guess this proves everything in there is real!

Golly gee you sure sound smart!

Check underwater fortresses off the coast of japan.

It's not the comet causing the cooling event that matters in this context, it's that it caused an entire civilisation to be blotted out from history. That matters, because our civilisation may well be the next civilisation to suffer such a fate if we don't get our shit together.

In the original Chaldean astrological system,. Scorpio was reepresented by an Eagle.

>bunch of non descript dots depicted above figures on ancient stone carving
Well clearly they didn't have birds back in 9,000BC. So they must be be comet fragments.

It's not the RISE of civilization but the RESTART.
Atlantis was real and the survivors went to many different sites around the world.
