Capitalism is not and has never been conservative in nature. Capitalism is ultimately pro-globalization, and destroys cultural institutions and power-structures. How the fuck is a "pro-capitalist" party "conservative"... the two things have almost nothing to do with one another.
As for "Liberals"/"Democrats" in the US.. There is nothing good except the numbers, data and rational thought, when it comes to ideology. This INCLUDES emotion, which is something the US in particular seems to deeply lack.
Ideology is born out of the same human insecurity that births religion and ignorance. We cant seem to deal with the fact that we are feeling around in the dark right now as a planet and are yelling at ourselves in a closed room.
So no, I do not believe there is any good ideology out there. And I have to add, though an almost noble pursuit, politicians and the like, along with armchair stormfags here for example, seem to love to theorize, implement policy...and then not give a fuck at all about the result. I have rarely see ideologues and politicians mold their worldview to fit results and data.
