Why do people indentify more with the "minority side" of their ancestry? Why the fuck do people call quadroons "black"? In what way is a quadroon more black than white?
My ex was a quadroon and on occassion she commented/joked/nodded that she was black. I never understood why she identified as such. Before we were together when she joked I told her she was more white than black and didn't reply. I never dared bring the subject again.
