Do shit work get shit pay. If you're just passionate about flipping burgers work your ass off and get noticed and climb that corporate McLadder. But don't expect to make what a construction worker or factory worker makes while you run the deep fryer for 20hrs a week. Faggot.

Sorry. McFaggot.

Our minimum wage £7.50 for 25s and over. So you yanks stop complaining.

>Also get a good job

honestly this is not exactly the best idea. We should be getting a livable wage, but people are just going to move on to automation.

Why not $50 dollars an hour?

BAHAA BAHAA - $15 a hour is chump change buster shit.. 28k a year "before" taxes and that is if you work full time and don't miss a day.. Wow million dollar home and submariner Rolex on the way ! Yea right cant even pay rent and gas in my car with that shit let alone fulfill any real goals for financial aspirations.
We are corporate slaves to the MC JewY
corps of the world..

I always see people complaining about the minimum wage here in Canada (11.25 in Ontario) and I don't get how it's too low. When I work for minimum I have enough for all my food, rent, utilities etc. and I don't budget at all. After that I still have ~500 left over for entertainment/savings

What are these people doing that requires so much money that they think should be included in the MINIMUM wage

Do you even economics bruh?
I took the class for one semester and I already know this 15$ and hour is a fucking meme. If companies were forced to pay their employees more, they'll just find a way around it.

A "free" country shouldn't need a minimum wage. Americans are losers. More news at eleven.

Who works for minimum wage? Shit, who works for $15/hr? I made more than that in my first job out of college 7 years ago, and I have a fucking liberal arts degree.

I support it. More money in people's pocket and bank accounts will lead to higher birth rates. Conservatism will lead to racial suicide.

MAH KEEDZ BABY MAH KEEDZ

Say hello to your $15/hour world.

...

It's the future, anons.

>government literally FORCING a company to pay a certain amount of money

Haha yeah fuck the bourgeois!!
Fuck off statists. Abolish the minimum wage.

Small business owner here, it would ruin me if we did. I would have to downsize and lay off a bunch of people.

>Entry level Job nobody wants to do
>Get paid as much as some blue collar workers

Low minimum wage keeps people striving for more and not settling on shitty jobs.

I currently employee 12 people. If this passes I will lay 2 off and outsource their positions to the Philippines.

They are called entry level jobs for a reason.

And then the cost of every good and service goes up by the same %.
You socialists are fucking retarded, this why socialism always fuck ups, you morons have no basic knowledge how economy and offer and demand work.
God I fucking hate you, FUCKING DIE.

youtube.com/watch?v=7-JR2KDRnEY

why only $15?
why not $20 or $30?

You can Google 'automation' for more examples of these things. Basically, you're a faggot and a retard if you ever, ever believe the minimum wage should go up. Majority of businesses that even pay minimum wage are the ones in the service industry (e.g. fast food, retail). If you even dare to raise the minimum wage they'll either replace you with bots or drive up prices to compete, both defeating the purpose of minimum wage in the first place.

Just accept you were stupid for believing in your liberal professors and quit your Walmart job. Consider construction work; it is rising and will continue to rise because of Trump's a prominent advocate for infrastructure.

Lmao nigger I had to close my resume writing service when minimum wage grew to $8.50 in my state. For the last year and a half I had been making an average of $10.50 per client whenever I had an employee do it (had 4). I only hired people to get the company name going and keep some college kids employed and practiced in resume-building.

That all disappeared. Had to fire them all and close shop.

I say the minimum wage should be 5 trillion dollars.

Increasing the minimum wage accomplishes nothing but gets low skilled workers fired. The few remaining with their jobs gain nothing as inflation adjusts so their real wage remains the same.

And then prices are raised for basic goods and services.Minimum wage was raised in Europe tons of times, makes smaller businesses less competitive and makes basic good more competitive. Its a double edged sword. Maybe get people off food stamps first.

>we should have $15 an hour minimum wage
>but we should also let in millions of unskilled third worlders who work for $1 an hour

Yeah, nah you cunt. You, and people like you, have created the current labor market. Revel in it.

why stop at 15

let's do 500/hour

No one should force any wage; you get paid the market value of your skill or labor. If you don't like it, start your own business. Otherwise KYS

fuck that shit

The real minimum wage is zero

discord.gg/vpHF3

$15 is not enough either. I need at least $25 to live a comfortable lifestyle. I'm ready to just move to Sweden so I can live the great socialist lifestyle like god intended.

youtu.be/EA1KgKM_gqA

Awwwww yeah boi!!! Negotiate yo ass outta job!!!

>The minimum wage should be a living wage.
And all it takes is to minimize taxes. When you are not forced to feed niggers, you can feed yourself.

>2050 AD
>the last minimum wage job has been fully automated
>the poor having successfully fought for their 50,000$ a year hotdog boiling gigs have been permanently fired
>permanent social classes have been established
>the poor remain poor as simple robots and AI take over the daily tasks of keeping society running
>the gibs and nigger money programs die as no working class is paying into them
>massive die off of poor class
>new era of enlightenment

Meet your replacement.

It's a trade-off. If the minimum wage is too high, it makes it way harder for people to get their first job, since they most likely haven't developed any skills yet, and the marginal product of their labour needs to be more than their wage. The idea being that, non-retarded people will parlay their experience into better jobs down the line.

If you haven't held a job by the time you're 25 (give or take), you're basically toxic to employers, so anything that makes it harder to build that initial human capital is a serious fucking problem.

Leftists are pretty much incapable of compromise, so they refuse to accept the idea that it's better that some retards struggle on minimum wage forever rather than 10x that number of people live off welfare forever because they could never get off the ground.

bad thing, you know what is the inflation?

>seattle

thread over

people in seattle fucked themselves because of this, lol

>marginal product
babys first econ class?

It will happen one day don't worry. In the future we will all get paid the same.

National Socialism is inevitable. It is the only logical possibility for the outcome of humanity.

With the rise of technology, it’s not long before there will no longer be a need for humans to work. Robots will do everything for us, and I do mean EVERYTHING. IA, and physical robot workers can do everything humans can do but better. We will therefore be able to sit around all day and do whatever we want, the government will take care of everyone and there will be a fixed universal income = socialism.

Scientists are already able to modify genes, changing the gender of an embryo, so parents can choose the gender of their child. Not long before we can do this with race, eye color, height, penis size, breast size, etc. And let’s not pretend that people aren’t going to make all their children white. Infact, the state will encourage everyone (maybe even making it a law) to have light skinned children so we can all look alike and we will be a unified, nationalistic people. This would insure Nationalism.

Combine these two facts of the future, and it seems the world is headed towards National Socialism.

With IA doing our work, will we have more time to make space colonies and create more and better art, entertainment, further science and philosophy. It will be a perfect utopia, a one world, with no racism, no borders (we will have no reason for them b/c we’ll all be the same), and people won’t do drugs or anything bad because people can use VR to do those things if they want it.

Harvard 'Shock' Study: Each $1 Minimum Wage Hike Causes 4-10% Increase In Restaurant Failures
In this paper, we investigate the impact of the minimum wage on restaurant closures using data from the San Francisco Bay Area….suggestive evidence that higher minimum wage increases overall exit rates among restaurants, where a $1 increase in the minimum wage leads to approximately a 4 to 10 percent increase in the likelihood of exit…a 10 percent raise in the minimum wage increases firm exit by approximately 24 percent from a base of 5.7 percent….

zerohedge.com/news/2017-02-27/minimum-wage-massacre-wendys-unleashes-1000-robots-counter-higher-labor-costs

I'm an apprentice accountant and I make just shy of £6/hour.

Makes my blood boil when burger flippers demand $15/hour for their dumb, easy work. Try doing my job for far less pay.

Wanna increase the spending power of people?

Don't give them more money, remove existing money from circulation.

In the same boat with you guys. Thankfully most of the people I employ are over $15 so I won't have to change much because of it, but I'm more worried about the federal salary minimums and health care costs.

Thankfully Texas blocked the new salary minimum that would have raise exempt salary from I think $458 to $913 overnight. Eventually California exempt laws would override the Feds, but at least it would have been done incrementally.

I also fund my employees personal health, dental and vision insurance 100%. My price has gone up 33% in the last 4 years. If it goes any higher I'm going to be forced to make them start paying some or all of the amount. The tax incentive paying healthcare costs is zero for employees. Paying them a couple more bucks an hour is way better come tax time.

It costs $925 a month to insure a 62 year old on a blue cross gold hmo. Considering I'm under 26 employees I technically don't have to offer a god damn thing and that will start happening really quick if costs don't go down.

>implying self ordering station can clean, refill, fix, and cook shit
>implying companies wont fire the lazy fucks first leaving the ones who genuinely want to do a good job.

I don't see why my work and effort should fuel your comfort and low expectations.

>The minimum wage should be a living wage.
Nope

>there are people who actually believe in this pic
If people are too stupid to manage their money properly, buy cheap, and seek deals, then they deserve a minimum wage job.

>Considering I'm under 26 employees I technically don't have to offer a god damn thing and that will start happening really quick if costs don't go down.

But thats good that you have these things. Happy employees = less drama and more work.

>something unexpected

kek

The fact is they could pay us all $100.00 an hour and they would still make money.

Prove me wrong.

>The minimum wage should be a living wage.
No it shouldn't. You aren't meant to live on minimum wage. Minimum wage jobs are meant for people like high school students who still live with their parents.

If you are incapable of earning a wage higher than the minimum then it's because you're basically useless. You don't have any valuable skills or anything that anyone would be willing to pay extra for.

So if you raise the minimum wage from like $7 to $15... then those useless people who made only $7 now have to compete with everyone who made $8-$15 and hour for jobs. In other words now they have to compete with people who actually have skills that someone is willing to pay more money for.

On top of that, the corporations will simply hire less people. Their budgets will not change. They will just have less money to spend on hiring new employees.

So you add in the increase in competition and the decrease in the supply of jobs and it will make it almost impossible for a totally unskilled person to get a job.

I wouldn't expect someone who makes minimum wage to even be able to understand this concept though. So I see why these retards are fighting so hard for what will be their doom.

>cook shit

Got that one covered senpai
zerohedge.com/news/2017-03-08/meet-flippy-burger-flipping-robot-caliburger-rolling-out-all-its-restaurants

>everyone else at the store
I can now run a lunch shift with 5 people instead of 20. Great for the 5, not so great for the 15, you dig? Not only that but as the automation industry expands their capabilities expand to the tasks those of the 5. Then I need 2 people to run a shift. Sheeeeeeeeeeeit.

Minimum wage should be scrapped.
It doesn't raise the living standard's of the poor, it brings down the living standards of everyone else.

Ironically if the true inflation rate was reported the minimum wage would already be over $15.

But hey! government lies upon government lie, and round and round we go like a bunch of cucks dancing for their pleasure.

heheh
god bless you Sir

Was phonefag

You're right, it is a very nice bonus and most of them should be very happy with the arrangement considering they all make too much money to get it for free but some make too little money to pay for it themselves.

It doesn't matter in they end. They will always bitch and moan and complain they are underpaid regardless.

...

>Truly the factories and stores should be owned by the workers who work in them, higher ups leeching on hard work isn't fair :^)

I'm not saying you're wrong by the way.

You do that and you will be replaced with a machine the next day. Have fun being unemployed.

In my country you can work at McDonalds and live a good life, with lots of free time. When the poor earn good money, the middle-class and the wealthy benefit off it. Raising the minimum wage will benefit everyone. You cant have a functioning economy when people dont have purchasing power.

Then $15 will be the new $7.25.

No min wage would solve all the problems. Im in college and make 10 a hour. Perfectly fine with it. If your pass the age of 18 and don't make more then min wage then you have issues.

Truth is a robot would work for much less,

And what good things have came from your country?

>It doesn't matter in they end. They will always bitch and moan and complain they are underpaid regardless.

Yeah it's a double edge sword. I only employ 3 other people and they always say they are over worked (I take on shifts as well) I always tell them either keep working till you find a better job or just quit. Only 1 has so far but it was some college chick who just didnt like coming to work on time so I stuck her at our busiest hours and she quit right in the middle of it. Hopefully the economy picks up and I can maybe get my employees some benefits.

pic related

implying your average mixed race burger monstrosity deserves even 5 an hour. they'll just blow it all on weed and fast and furious dvds anyways.

>the minimum wage should be a living wage
I can't wrap my brain around this.
If we didn't have a minimum wage, it was all free game, then what would happen?
>Bosses would lower the wages so low that no one would could live off it
Then no one would work for them. It's all about adjusting and adapting.

If you want $15 an hour, prove you're worth it. Don't be a fag and ask the government to force your employer to pay you for something you don't deserve. Earn it! Don't legislate it!

Free market: if your employees don't make enough to buy your products you won't be a business

Most of the world lives on a fraction of that pay. So $15 is much greater than a "living" wage. You aren't entitled to a fancy car and your own house.

>the minimum wage should be a living wage
This doesn't make current minimum wage jobs livable, it eliminates them. Only jobs where the labor is currently worth at least enough to live off of would exist, and the ones you can just live off now would be tye new minimum wage jobs. Changing a law doesn't change the real value of labor.

So basically what you're saying is tack another zero onto the minimum wage and then tack another zero on everything you sell. Inflate the pay and inflate the cost at the same exact rate.

b-but you can't do that.

Short the market of necessities and reap the rewards. Wake up at 4am to be the 137th person in line for a $300 loaf of stale bread and the better half of a moldy piece of cheese. Meanwhile I'm dining on fresh bread, porterhouse and your tears.

yes, that's the free market, and it works, every time it's allowed to.

>the minimum wage is not a living wage

Any examples of someone ceasing to live because their wages were too low?

Why 15 and not 100?

these jobs were not meant for grown fucking men. they were meant to 15-16 year old teens wanting to get their foot in the door in a labor position to start saving for college/car.

yeah well what about my $100 cell phone plan and $120 cable bill? You can't expect me to go without these things in 2017

RIP
too soon user

People just have to stop shopping everywhere that implements robotics.
Buy human produced only.

Why? I want robots, I don't want you NEETs stealing my hard earned money. We need to ax welfare and let you assholes starve. you don't deserve to live if you are as useless as a nigger.

>live in Illinois, 2nd only to Washington in corruption
>they're still seriously considering a $15 minimum wage
>I might lose my job or at least have my hours cut

I'm tired of these interventions fucking everything in the ass. They scream at shadows instead of what casts them and they make everything worse in the process.

Its only going to get worse unfortunately. As the minimum wage goes up everyone just over that level is going to erroneously believe they are worth more just because some kid at the Krispy Kream is making $15. Just the same as the employees that feel like they deserve a raise every 6 months even though they've never learned any more and have gotten away with putting in the bare minimum.

no, the opposite should happen, all it would do is rise unemployment and lower job quality as companys will not be able to keep all of their workers and the left over workers will need to do the jobs that someone else would have been doing. if the minimum wage was lower then people that couldn't get a job would be able to get a job, maybe a bad one but still a job

I'm in the second lowest tax bracket and a third of my income is removed by various taxes. Stop raising the wages and lower taxes.

Agreed. Make the dregs starve. Can't wait until Uber goes full automation. I'm tired of canceling rides because my driver is a nigger. Takes me forever to get home.

lol meet your replacement nigger

Minimum wage- The minimum amount of money an employer is required to pay for the minimal amount of effort you put into the job. It is not a living wage, and was never intended to be. Now fuck off.

Story?

It's all good my back up plan is literally to fire all my employees and use my 6 kids to work for pennies

A lot of these retards will go and have kids when they know for a fact that their financial situation will not support it.

>>increase minimum wage to 15.00 an hour

>>all goods and services go up 15.00 an hour so everyone is paying more

Good plan, OP
