Why is nobody in here talking about the ahca??? Vote is in a few hours, it's such an insanely fucked up bill! Do you think it could pass?

I don't get it, it's like this board doesn't actually care about politics. This legislation could be the most impactful on your life passed all year and the vote is about to happen

They dont. It's all about spewing the dank memes.
This place is in denial, its parallel to r9k's mindset.

I have no problem whatsoever with this.
Healthcare should be privatized. Believe me, I know, I'm from Quebec and we know how fucked up this kind of nationalization can become.

Remember when Sup Forums couldn't believe people would vote for a healthcare bill without reading it?

>I don't get it, it's like this board doesn't actually care about politics
Welcome to Sup Forums, now get out

Why should I pay for healthcare that goes to niggers and spics when all they will use it for is to heal gunshot wounds and drug addiction?

It's already privatized you fucking idiot. What changes in it do you think are good?

It finally gives the poor insurance and pharmaceutical companies the break they deserve. They've suffered enough.

No one who knows anything at this point wants the bill to pass except for Neocons and ForeverTrumpers that don't understand politics.

Like these two posters don't actually know what's in the bill or anything.

But it doesn't matter because it will pass. Just like how a budget bill that read like it was straight up out of Hillary Clinton's campaign website passed.

Republicans are really giving the best of both worlds for the Democrats: passing everything Democrats want while being easy targets for the media to help make new Democrats with.

This plan will mean you do more of that because more uninsured means more emergency room visits, which means you will be paying far more to cover them (most expensive care available). But please by all means continue showing your ass that you know fuck all about our healthcare system

My healthcare costs were lower before Obongocare when half the nation was uninsured. Now I have to pay pregnancy care for every little turd niggers and spics pop out.

Imagine having politics so shallow that you try to rationalize the absolutely assraping by the super wealthy as a good thing

Obamacare is pirate healthcare you are forced to pay

This will absolutely not make them better, and if you think it will it is only because you literally have not researched the bill at all

>Just like how a budget bill that read like it was straight up out of Hillary Clinton's campaign website passed.
Lmao yess

>Do you think it could pass?
It will. Now that the wall is beginning, Trump's gotta hold his end of the deal

Say adios to socialism, Shekelstein.

nobody heres gives a fuck about policy.

same with the tax legislation, there was maybe 1 thread about it and it will be those most impactful bill of decades.

meanwhile brumpf bombs a few sand niggers and we get tens of thousands of threads literally

Jimmy Kimmel single handedly defeated the bill a few days ago

>I'm literally too dumb to discuss even the basics of healthcare, I'll just call him a jew

What's so fucked up? Changes from the last bill look good to me.

if he is young and healthy his premiums would have absolutely been lower before obongocare, and will once again be lower after this bill.

going from community rating -> individual rating = lower premiums for fit and healthy young people

I'm glad you're excited for lifetime limits of coverage and preexisting condition denial returning, you're literally the only one. Not to mention increased cost of care and tax cuts to the super wealthy.

I have VA healthcare, literally what socialized medicine is.

3 years with a torn shoulder, guess what they just gave me. Another 8 weeks of physical therapy. Third round should do the trick right?

When the ER gets flooded with people who cant pay they will raise property taxes and insurance hikes.

I live in a blue state, they already raise those yearly to pay for the illegals who live here.

Fuck ryan

explain why it's not a good thing

I hate this new healthcare bill. I hate the ACA. They're both garbage legislation.

I'm a Republican, I'm 10 years in cancer remission, and I'm pissed that they're not repealing every single aspect of the ACA except for allowing you to stay on your family plan until 26.

It's horrible. Both of them. All of it.

Repealing and replacing Obamacare are big promises of campaign he should deliver on them

It offers none of the privitization of healthcare that Republicans promise while making your coverage worse.

It's a lose-lose.

I am in Denmark i don't give a fuck. I just hope it will kill more amerifats and somehow make Trump more popular lmao.

>It offers none of the privitization of healthcare that Republicans promise while making your coverage worse.

First part true second part total lie

Everyone here is on their parent's plan.

my unaffordable care has gone up 350% in the last 4 years. Repeal the shit outta it

The VA is not a good comparison because when it fails it only affects veterans. Nobody cares about veterans unless it's currently fashionable to be blowing smoke up their asses and virtue signal about how much you appreciate them.

Single payer healthcare is cheaper per capita than any other alternative.

All the healthcare that happens today will still happen no matter what we do. And those who aren't paying for it now will never pay for it.

So all we can do is have healthcare as efficiently per capita as possible. When it fails in places ( for everyone ) at least everyone will be pissed and be pushing to fix it. It will not be like it is with the VA where it'll be just veterans and sometimes a politician who wants to virtue signal for a few months.

That actually would explain why people don't care/think this is good. Jesus

They should euthanize them.

So literally everyone can wait for multiple years with torn shoulders.

Free food just none happens to be left.

Kill yourself if you think my healthcare is what we want nationwide.

I'm kinda over the healthcare thing desu.
I have just accepted that I don't know enough about it to talk about it, and the republicans in congress are going to write some shitty bill that gets a little of what they want, but on the democrats terms, because the republicans are pussywhipped and didn't learn how to win from Trump.

Your forgeting all the hiv and hep transmission due to incompatance. Ive been out 8yrs and still haven't registeted. I'll kill myself before i subject myself to the V.A.

No. Because everyone is enough people to apply sufficient pressure to fix the problem - unlike veterans who do not have sufficient political power to do so.

Healthcare is one of those things like Police and Fire and Roads that should be done by the government.

In fact insurance is just a private government you subscribe to anyway - it has rules you must follow or your policy is dropped just like a government. Health insurance is an aspect of collectivism we engage in that should not be privatized because we demonstrably socialize the cost of those without insurance anyway.

If we let people without insurance die of it - no medicaid, let Tyrone die on the street of his gunshot wound - then maybe you could argue against single payer. But since this will never be the case the thing to do is spend as little money as possible to have the health care we have now.

That's single payer.

>Healthcare thing

Which part of this is "on the Democrat's terms?"

Well, they tried

For my entire life, the Republicans have had a PR problem, in that they've never been able to control a conversation.
They're talking about Healthcare in terms of "number of people covered" instead of about price, freedom for consumer choice and increased competition for insurance companies. The Dems are controlling this entire conversation and its effecting the legislation.
I thought the Republicans were going to learn how to change a conversation from Trump, but apparently they just want to make the pendulum swing back left as fast as possible instead.

It would help if you post a link as to what AHCA is.
AHCA has been called many names Ryan Care 2.0/ Trumpcare 2.0/ Repeal Obamacare 2.0 .

Trump faces major test as vote looms on U.S. healthcare bill

Dipshit, it helps if you put more actual information then an acronym.

as if the 'conversation' matters to people trying to get healthcare.

what matters is the quality coverage looks like spread across our nation's population and how the cost is distributed.

I'm pretty sure this bill doesn't qualify as something Democrats want.

Unless you're qualifying it as "Going to flop in the senate and give Democrats endless ammunition for 2018 and 2020 to tear the Republicans apart"

In which case yeah I suppose you're right

Well your main problem is that this guy is the biggest dirtbag out there.

Let's also not forget the political math in healthcare changes.

The reality is the least healthy and least wealthy will be most affected by these changes. And the problem being, large chunks of the GOP rural base are among the most unhealthy and least wealthy in the nation.

Republican lawmakers:
>Obamacare is bad! Repeal and replace!
>Don't touch my guarantee provided by the ACA though! Those changes are only for the idi...I mean voters.

RINO Ryan is going to redeliver Obamacare. It will be fail.

>talk about for 7 years how they're going to repeal obamacare and get rid of it
>give Republicans the house, senate, and presidency
>suddenly Republicans have cold feet about repealing obamacare
>every new healthcare reform bill that gets voted on is just Obamacare-lite

Once again, America shifts closer and closer to marxism.

A decade from now we'll be in serious talks about "free" universal healthcare, because Republicans are too fucking spineless to stick up for their constituents.

>every new healthcare reform bill that gets voted on is just Obamacare-lite

This is because it turned out that most people actually like Obamacare and would rather just have it fixed than go back to the terrible pre-ACA system.

kek, this thread is full of retards this is why no one wants to actually discuss shit anymore. It will be a race to the lowest common denominators; i.e. capitalism. It's already been occurring and proven to work by what are essentially "mom and pop" healthcare providers that are local to their citizens and actually give a fuck.

>This is because it turned out that most people actually like Obamacare

Proof of gtfo with the continued onslaught of baseless claims by minorities pretending they represent the majority.

People only like certain provisions of the aca, like coverage for pre-existing conditions, and coverage under a parents plan until 26.

The main issue is and has always been the individual mandate.
I should not be required under penalty of law to purchase a product I neither want nor need to subsidize the bad life choices of others

That is the most ridiculous thing I have read here in so long. Privatize the whole dammed system and allow catastrophic plans for the younger folks that don't get sick too often. Guarantee you prices overall go down and out of pocket doctors visits will be doable when the uninsured do need it

It is not going to fucking pass. So who cares it's just a big circle jerk

Proven to work, it's financially insolvent. Obummer had to make an illegal slush fund from mortgage companies to even attempt to fund it. It's on its way to implode because it simply doesn't work.

>I should not be required under penalty of law to purchase a product I neither want nor need to subsidize the bad life choices of others

Yet the government is going to have to pay your bills when you have a random problem you never foresaw coming. Unless you happen to have 30k on hand you're willing to give to a hospital for a 2 night stay.

No, you aren't superman and impervious to harm. Random shit happens. Fact of the matter is it's cheaper for the taxpayer for everyone to have coverage at least on some level.

It's a gamble, if I gamble that I won't get sick in my young years and I'm wrong, then I deserve to bear the financial burden, why should the government pay anything for me at all?
On the other hand if I'm intelligent then when I hit my mid 30s I will realize that it's time to start thinking about my health and at that point health insurance becomes a wise investment.
Face it, forcing young healthy people to purchase insurance is nothing more than a way of forcing healthy people to subsidize sick people. I'm not even arguing that this is morally wrong. But if we're being honest about what we're doing we might as well just abolish insurance companies all together, switch to single payer, and raise taxes to pay for it.
The individual mandate is a poorly disguised lie to force young people to subsidize old people

Honestly abolish health insurance. If we paid for it like any other good we'd all save so much fucking money, the insurance industry would be replaced with an industry that provides actual services and goods in society.

it's not poorly disguised. that's 100% the way insurance works - you fucknut!

ah millennials... the least generation

You misunderstood, privatized healthcare = capitalism = good. Obongocare = expansion of socialism = bad

>ah millennials... the least generation

Spotted the child posting in the adult thread

You aren't old enough to have enough experience to formulate a legitimate opinion.

You are a special kind of stupid if you voted republican in 2016 knowing just how fucking insane they were.

its funny its already too much messed up to ever go back to anything close to having insurance private again. It will take 10 20 years minimum.

i've tried to mention this on Sup Forums. my insurance has gone up 4 fold! keep in mind most people are NEETS who probably don't even pay for their insurance.

Dont worry bro i do care.

The Republicans also just passed a bill giving companies the option to refuse time and a half for employees working overtime
It's like they're not even trying to pretend they give a shit about the working class anymore.

THIS

I feel your pain.

Repubilivans never cared about working class. Why people thought abillionaare oligarch like trump did is beyond me. Trump is literally the third term of bush.

i so hope it passes. so many americans will die, and it will be glorious. not just flip a switch and you're dead, but excruciating months of years of watching your loved ones suffer and despair, while the fat cats just keep getting fatter and you guys keep applauding and enabling them. you deserve this.

I don't even mean paying for health insurance as a good, I mean medical care.

The insurance serves no purpose. Pay for an itemized bill of your medicine and labor. Can't pay? Owe debt to the hospital.

The insurance company is a jewish middle man.

I hate Politically Incorrect. I hate Sup Forums. They're both garbage for discussion.

I'm a Redditor, I'm 2 years in r/politics remission, and I'm pissed they're not shutting down ever single board on Sup Forums except for those allowing you to post about your wife's son and your gay lover.

It's horrible. Both of them. All of it.

I don't get how this is a problem. If you are sick and insurance won't cover you, drop insurance, quit your job, sell you car and house, move all assets under relatives name, go to your local medicad office, ask for gibs, you are all set. All medical bills taken care of. Niggers and spics have been doing this for the past 5 decades and no one bats an eye.

It's a great bill when moderates are the ones on the fence over it. They know that the state options mean all the pre existing shit will only stick in libtard run states (which hopefully soon will only be 3 or 4 left)
