Personally it hurt my family. Made our healthcare prices sky rocket.

It was supposed to break the stranglehold private insurers had on the market and instead enshrined it into law.

Obamacare literally costs 600$ a month for shitty healthcare service.

It "Gave everyone healthcare" by forcing anyone not on welfare to pay 3-4x as much for healthcare.

Why did it do that? I know nothing about Obamacare

sky high prices, worse care. It is UNaffordable. IMO Trump should've let it die a fiery death next year.

what about the new plan is better though?

Because people abuse it. Why pay $X when you can use Obama Care? Our insurence had to raise prices to accomodate for their loss of profit.

havent read it yet, but they should go after the costs. High risk pools are a start.

And to anyone who wants to defend the new bill - just tell the libtards that you can cover more people when the price is lower

who gives a fuck the old plan was so broken that it gave all the welfare queens in the country free healthcare by making the already dying middle class pay for it.

More middle class families just took the fucking legal fine for not buying healthcare than they did getting healthcare insurance.

Only people who are for it don't have to pay for it or are too rich to be bothered by the costs. It hurts average people like me.

Nobody knows whats in the AHCA because nobody has read it yet.

They literally just jerked off because "obama a nigger" and he pissed in their Wheaties for 8 years.

He should have just let Obamacare implode

My plan before Obamacare was 300. The same plan after Obamacare was 500. Couldn't afford it. So had no coverage. Also the government is subsidizing most plans otherwise it would work. So it doesn't really work in the first place. Many companies are dropping out after the subsidies end. So in a lot of places You literally only have one choice for provider. It's worse than the cable monopolies

Nothing. Doesn't change the fact Obamacare a shit.

I couldn't afford health insurance, the Medicare expansion allowed me to get free quality healthcare. Now I guess I'll be uninsured again.

Maybe you can busk on the world's smallest violin.

Pretty much this. If niggers were sensible, they'd stop fucking having kids they can't afford. Cut off welfare and let Chicago turn into Africa2.0 if it has to. Universal healthcare doesn't work when you have millions who play by different rules. Also this is somewhat relevant -

twitter.com/mitchellvii/status/860195435880869888

It relies on healthy young males to subsidize others. As a healthy young male, I don't want to have this obligation.

Then wasn't DJT's suggestion of imploding Obummerscare a better plan?

You aren't jewed into buying overpriced healthcare.

it made healthy young people's premiums skyrocket to pay for LaQueefa's pregancies and Cleetus with the Type 2 Diabeetus.

Insurers were not allowed to charge more for people who were unhealthy, so costs were passed to healthy working people.

It would be like if car insurance companies were not allowed to charge higher rates for drivers who get into car accidents every 6 months. Totally unsustainable

I thought they weren't removing the IRS penalty?

You know damned well what a nightmare the ACA was, it's not even up for debate anymore that it was an expensive monumental failure.

If you really don't understand what the problem is, start with the question "why did the people who passed the bill write themselves, their families, and their businesses out of the bill if it's so great?"

1. you won't be forced to buy healthcare if you don't want to

2. Insurers will be able to charge higher rates to people with preexisting conditions, lowering costs for most people

Inefficent and socalistic. Makes people who don't need medical care pay for those who do. Pays for fat fucks to get medical care for completely preventable illnesses. Punishes people for being healthy.

Ok, wet can do this again.
I don't get sick. Once every other year I'll get a sinus infection and have to get anti biotics. This used to cost around $100.

Now, I'm forced to buy insurance or pay a fine. $700 fine, or $175 every month. So now, something that used to cost $100 every two years, costs $4200 for tube exact same thing. 420% increase, for something that's unavoidable. You can't just ignore strep, sinus infections, the flu. You need medicine that requires a prescription. If your don't have insurance, mossy doctors won't see you, or they double the price.

Probably not. That's like pulling the knife out of a stab wound. If there's one thing that America can teach, it's that disentangling a country from cancerous social programs is a tall order.

The war in Iraq has cost something 2.4 trillion dollars. Now I'm all for national defense and a big military, but American priorities are fucked.

That 2.4 trillion could have paid for healthcare for the uninsured for decades. We didn't need Obamacare.

It manages to be infinitely worse than universal healthcare while also costing you more than the nothing you had before.

It's a case of shit or get off the pot. Either reduce drug costs through generics and deregulation, or do a proper universal health system. Obamacare is neither and it shows.

Don't inject any logic into this argument. Our foreign policy makes me want to kick a puppy.

how is number to fair?..what if you were born with a 'preexisting condition through no fault of your own ie deafness, blindness etc?..sounds like some master level Jewry to me

All public services are inefficient, ineffective, inhumane. There is no feedback mechanism. It is a distortion of economic reality.

you can even spell socialism, let alone know what it actually means (its when the state controls the 'means of production' btw)

It was unconstitutional but yet it passed without any outcry from the left on over reaching. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the government can tax you if you DON'T buy there product. Think about that? The system was so shitty the government had to force people to buy it. On top of that it created reional monopolies on healthcare and they wonder why people can't afford it unless they are niggers or spics. In 2007 my healthcare for an individual was under $200.00 and I could shop around and use whatever carrier I wanted. It's now $400.00 for an individual for a shittier plan with no other options to consider. The also removed the cheapest insurance option that was under $100.00 and covered just emergencies like if you had a car accident etc...My insurance has gone up every single year since this law was passed and since I purchased family healthcare it's over $500.00 for me and my employer pays $12,000. It's a joke.

i am young, healthy, and choose not to be insured. ((affordable care act)) takes my money to pay for something i dont use, or am even signed up for. its unconstitutional

Nobody can actually accurately estimate the costs because of how big of an overhaul the ACA originally was.

Polls in the US indicate most voters do want Single Payer Universal Healthcare. Full stop - many dumnfags here are scared of "muh socialism" but they're a minority.

The thing is, the ACA is not anywhere close to universal single payer healthcare and it's not as the Berniefags suggest: "A step in the right direction"

The ACA has 3 main components. First: It is now federal law that you must have health insurance under threat of tax penalty and potentially jail time. Second: All plans offered by all insurers must cover at a minimum these newly defined "Essential Health Benefits" which include things like birth-control (and yes, abortions) and the plans must cover these "essential benefits" regardless of the sex of the purchaser. Meaning that a 25 year old man must legally buy coverage, and that coverage must include cervical cancer screenings and pregnancy tests.Part 3: of the ACA is about creating "Risk sharing pools" which is basically just paper pushing on the part of the insurance companies. "The obamacare exchanges" so everyone who buys a plan from within the exchange, all the funds from those premiums and deductibles go into one collective bucket to pay for the insurance/health needs of the people paying into those plans. The problem is - Young people who don't want/need insurance aren't paying for it, so the old/sick people who do buy these plans get stuck with huge price tags.

...ok..so I take it you burn all of your own trash, build and maintain your own road outside your home then?

Well you're wrong.

Think of it this way - option 1: The amount you pay for health insurance is based on how much you need it
Option 2: the amount everyone pays is equal and based on the cost of the most expensive person who buys it

If you're a leftfag option 2 sounds more fair to you
If your a rightfag option 1 sounds more fair. That's what this argument is.

Mostly irrational fear, as that's kinda what drives places like this and Republican voters in general. All these guys giving numbers like 500 or 600 when a damn Silver Plan costs a bit less than 300 this year with the subsidies while giving a person the majority coverage possible (70%). The ACA's main problem is how cutoffs work for subsidies, so a person would be screwed for having an income $50 above (ex. the cutoff being like 48000 and person makes 48050.) Otherwise the only people with reason to complain are insurance companies because it changes their market completely, and the few powerful insurers don't like that. Obamacare encourages a level of competition and boost of the insurer market in a way where the old style of working the market doesn't work anymore. This made some insurers salty, so they ask their Republican politician brethren to spew hatred about Obamacare.

Some people in the US do, yes. My grandparents included.

>I see that you made a typo. Better luck next time.

Socialism means different things to different socialistic movements. The core principle is reappropriation of the product of labor to those who provide th labor. There have been many socialist movements who have advocated "socialism by degrees" that is, rather than a hostile takeover of everything at once. Private ownership of the means of production is still allowed, however the product of that production is redistributed through taxes and government programs, having in the end the same effect as a state owned enterprise.

Great now you guys can go without healthcare and still have higher prices.

taxation

>can go without healthcare
>still have higher prices

>>Being this autistic

>obamacare encourages competition

>forcing everyone in the country to buy a product and forcing the seller of said product to eat losses instead of refusing to take bad deals encourages competition.

read the thread you mongoloid. There are plenty of real reaskns to hate Obamacare.

Okay let me get this straight.
You only paid 100$ every two years?
How exactly did you manage that? By not having insurance and seeing a doctor only every 2 years?
Couldn't you do that now? the penalty is 1400 plus the 100 you would have paid any way.
So 1600. Are you saying that since Obamacare came out doctors charge more for uninsured patients?

Why not look at actual numbers instead of just the bitching? Note that these insurance companies are complaining about REVENUE not NET INCOME/PROFIT. Despite lower revenue numbers, guys like Aetna and UnitedHealth have posted record profits while under Obamacare. Remember Humana dipping out at the end of 2016? Shit their third quarter net income must have sucked ass for this to happen? $450 billion.

>read the thread you mongoloid. There are plenty of real reaskns to hate Obamacare.
People mentioned premiums going up by a couple hundred, which if that's a big enough of an increase to vehemently loathe Obamacare, then that means you are eligible for subsidies that lower that 500 or 600 back to 300.

But paying for Jewish wars for Israel is more important than Goyim health. You can replace them with another imported goyim.

healthcare was increasing regardless, the republicans are defending the insurance jew

the rich people (+2million a year) had obamacare? or it was more convenient to risk and go without it?

soooooo, literally the old system before Obabocare?

It's a decent piece of legislation that brought down rapid inflation from medical debt ontop of insuring tens of millions of people.

But it triggers right wingers because of the name.

my girlfriend has chronic back issues. now it's considered a pre-existing condition and we literally can't get covered anymore.

fucking hooray. good going. you asshats took a shitty bill and replaced it with a shittier one that's so bad your representatives exempted themselves from it.

but hey, at least its not "obama" care right?

Because it didn't insure more people it just uninsured the middle class.

I'm glad some poor kid gets insurance now but they stole it from mine who have had to go without a few times

I mean it's pretty obvious why they hate it the primaries are a disaster and to be honest Obama is just a stupid sell-out who ironically received Nobel Peace Prize despite the fact that drone strikes doubled by 8 x then the previous administration so I hate Obama and I hate black people and I hate Obamacare

You're god damn right.
Also you're fucking wrong - you still can't deny based on pre-existing condition. Have you even read the bill? This level of shittier mentality shilling....

The cost of a CT scan for uninsured people is $400. The cost of a CT scan for insured people can be as much as the hospital wants basically. The insurance company decided the CT scan wasn't medically necessary (it was to rule out a physiological reason for my sons speech delay) so they didn't cover the cost, cost me $1500. It wasn't the hospital that charged me that much, it was insurance. They basically won't decide if its covered until after its done and their adjuster make a decision.

This is why health care fucking blows. Imagine someone building you a house but doesn't tell you how much it will be until it's done.

Why does she have a back issue?

Why doesn't she get a desk job with good insurance to pay for it?

Why are you leaving out important information??

>Have you even read the bill?

no, I watched all about it on cnn

PAY FOR MY HEALTHCARE

Personally, I love Obamacare.

Nothing has shown that government involvement can ruin shit like Obamacare has with health care.

Guys, if anybody interested #VoteNoAHCA is going well right now on Twitter

>be that stupid to disagree with implementation of the European healthcare system

Irrational fear my ass. I saw my monthy premium double and my yearly deductible go from 1500 to 4000. When I first started buying my own health insurance I was paying $75 a month with a 1500 flat deductible. That went up every couple years 100, 130.... then they pass Obamacare. From 2010-12 it went to 250. When I started using the market place it went over 400. Plus my deductible went to near useless levels. If you have to pay 4000 out of pocket you don't actually have insurance. But I did get a free wellness visit.
And yes I know a person making 90k a year in the north east is fucking insanely rich. So i deserved it I guess

Does everyone forget that it was a republican idea to begin with?

Seriously I fucking hate conservatives.

I'm guessing you aren't planning on living too long.

My family's deductible when I was a kid during the Dubya years was $20. Now it's $1,500, and rising every year.

When I was in middle school, I had an appendectomy. That cost around $2,000. What is the point of insurance if you don't get it until you spend most of the cost of what it's covering?

My family plan before Obama - $700/month - top notch everything

My plan this month - $1500/month

Universal healthcare could probably work in the USA pretty well, but it won't ever get passed because of all the money pharm and insurance lobbyists have in the current system. Talking billions upon billions of dollars, they are some of the most powerful lobbyists out there.

Of course they'll spread how difficult it will be, they have everything to lose while we have everything to gain. Imagine auto insurance without the medical aspect, all the insane workplace health procedures aimed specifically at lowering insurance costs, hospitals not getting fucked by uninsured patients etc etc...

>implying Obamacare was bad
Stop being racist.

They have fat lazy niggers and millions of anchor babies, who would want to pay for someone else's healthcare in such a situation?

Imagine trying to have an EU wide beuracracy controlling healthcare, and fitting one-size-fits-all plans for all EU citizens.

It's another layer of bullshit on top of a creaking system. Some things are good about it, but a lot of people just ended up paying more for a plan that seems far-reaching because it has a bunch of unnecessary shit, but is missing a lot of essentials which people had in their old plans.

There's also a problem (which is also present with medicaid, if I recall correctly) that Obamacare only allows you to use certain doctors, some of whom are terrible and only get listed as the official Obamacare doctor because they have friends in politics. There was a case of a dentist in Florida who was guaranteed money from Obamacare and medicaid, but didn't use anesthetic on a lot of procedures to save costs so he would have more money for himself. People had no choice but to go to him though.

Returning to the old system wouldn't work either though, because that was a monopoly by different shitty insurance companies who carved up areas of the country.

>over 400
What? That doesn't even make sense. Providing that your previous plan was 75, it's bottom tier so you wouldn't be paying more than roughly 250 a month.

>And yes I know a person making 90k a year in the north east is fucking insanely rich. So i deserved it I guess
Well, yeah, and I thus the burden is not that high on you. I mentioned this as a problem in my post up there, and it's less a problem for you where burden is low vs someone who only makes like 50-100 dollars more income whose burden is much higher.

Let me list several things about it and it will become clear what it is ...

> You have to make slave wages to afford it. You can't be too poor (to low of an income) and you can't make too much income to qualify for subsidies.

> Without subsidies, it's ridiculous.. A basic plan will run you about $300/$400 a month.

> With subsidies, tax payers are essentially making health care companies rich. The care is shit.

> A lot of doctors won't (even physicians) wont see you if you have obamacare. They simply don't support the insurance packages

> You have to pay ridiculous amounts before coverage kicks in .. $750-$1,500 deductible.

> If you don't get a healthcare plan, you have to pay penalties to the Government.

TLDR : It's essentially a subsidy for shit doctors and healthcare insurance companies. It's also a new tax on American people. The care is shit. Decent doctors won't see you on it. It's expensive as fuck.

The root issue is : healthcare costs. Like it is w/ all american things.... No one solves root cause issues. Literally, they exacerbate them and fudge this truth with more debt and tax dollars. I wouldn't be surprised if it the reasoning behind it was to inflate GDP numbers to prolong the economic realities.

Oh and the republican (trump) led replacement bill makes it even worse...

Sadly, it doesn't appear America is going to learn how to do the right thing until the charades collapse the whole country.

Every time you expect the right thing to be done, you read the details and discover its just another get rich quick scheme.

>Can't just ignore the flu or sinus infections.

Constanza.jpeg

>not understanding the point of trumpcare
4d chess, underage B&. maybe you'll understand when you get older.

It fucks anyone healthy and above $40,000~ it double fucks you.
There wasn't a "barebones" option for lower price coverage, such as emergency only. And unless you went higher end packages, the regular stuff was a smattering of mediocre coverage that'll still fuck you if you got into a bad accident but covers you well enough if you're one of those people who love getting a check up 7 times a month.

Also, it rewards self neglect by taking money from people who take care of themselves.

Health insurance companies saw there profit double after obamacare was passed. The bill was passed before those who voted on it, had a chance to read the bill.

And very few did read the bill after the vote because the stack of papers that represented the bill, were two feet tall. it was written by lobbyists.

It's mandated health insurance. Need I go on?

> Meet the new guy same as the old

You'll understand when the economy gets worse and were trillions of dollars more in debt.

I don't expect young people to understand dollars and cents beyond political charades.

increased rates, forces individuals to buy a service or pay fines

>inefficient
it's a big gift to the healthcare providers and super poor people while making it extremely difficult for normal people to pay for healthcare and especially emergencys

Same with trump's bill.
It's all political theatre.
The real goal is to prop up the 'service' sector in hopes of fueling an aspect of the economy that circulates money domestically.

They don't really care about people's health.
They're simply trying to jumpstart a self-circulating economic engine.

After Obamacare passed, my family and I had to pay for every doctor's visit, prescriptions, etc. I have asthma and after my prescription for my inhaler runs out I have to get a physical for another. It cost $127 for them to just check my height, weight and a few other things I could do on my own. Then, all of my inhalers cost $50 fucking dollars each. I haven't been to the doctors in almost 2 years and have been without an inhaler for almost a year. Fuck you Obama and your shitty healthcare. Good fucking riddance.

And now Trump's going to piss in your lucky charms for 8 more. Welcome to America

Individual mandate for a system that subsidizes niggers, spics, and insurance Jews at the same time.

>2 feet
nigger its more than 6 feet tall. absolutely nothing is that complicated in this world. this is used to do exactly what it did, hide what the bill even means so people have to vote on what the people that proposed the bill say it means.

Anyone else getting tired of the
>but 25 million people will LOSE their insurance!
line? I'm ready to fucking clock the next bastard who brings that shit up. It's like saying farmers on a Soviet collective would be out of a job if you stopped pointing your guns at them.

This would make a lot of sense if these same insurers weren't dropping out of Obamacare because muh loses.

>There wasn't a "barebones" option for lower price coverage
Bronze Plan

>Also, it rewards self neglect by taking money from people who take care of themselves.
This can literally be said of anything and everything related to the concept of insurance itself.

that nigger gives poor families a FINE for NOT BEING ABLE TO AFFORD INSURANCE

fucking trash system

>It's like saying farmers on a Soviet collective would be out of a job if you stopped pointing your guns at them
What level of false equivalency is this? People bring this up and the other various examples because most of the examples are trying to say that removal of Obamacare would fuck over people who physically can't pay or work for their insurance and are stuck in this weird helpless situation where they need to work to pay for their medical stuff but because they are fucked up medically they can't work to pay for treatment.

this. the fine DOUBLED my taxes this year.

Are you hicks to stupid to fill for tax credits?

I dont think you fucking understand how nasty the fine is.

They were dropping out because of the corruption, fraud, and abuse that occurred within the plans.

What a lot of idiots don't realize is : The healthcare insurance companies aren't the enemy or issue when it comes to the ridiculous healthcare system. The issue are the insane costs of health services and pharmaceuticals. By forcing everyone to get insurance and by subsidizing it, you exacerbate the problem.

It's the same shit tier problem w/ college tuitions costs.. No one solves the cost problem. They just attempt to paper over it and subsidize it.

Healthcare insurance companies already operated in such a fashion that 82-83% of premiums were paid out in healthcare services. When you add in operation cost and administration costs, they were operating on single digit profit margins. Obamacare mandated that they operate on (surprise : 82% payout)...

: pnhp.org/sites/default/files/profits_fixed.0.png

^ look whose making the money.

This shit was a charade and still will be one until this whole thing collapses. No one wants to do the right thing at the upper end of the profit scale.

>you are now required to buy healthcare
>people grudgingly buy healthcare, enrollment skyrockets
>requirement about to be removed, now people aren't forced to buy (((insurance))), and enrollment drops
Neck yourself, cunt. It isn't even the government's job to provide for dregs who can't provide for themselves. We have 150 million shitskins leeching off the system, taking gibs they don't deserve.

Go take a safe break and shoot yourself in the brain.
