The reasons you stated are exactly why almost 20 Republicans are against the bill. Mainly, moderates. First they have to admit they're going through budget recon. again, which is a nightmare. Next, the debates and senate recesses, and finally you've just got to convince half of our party to vote for the thing. Also, no one hiring full time. If we accidentally got scheduled for more than 40hrs at my last job we were yelled at for not catching it. Granted the guy doing scheduling and in charge of that just died of brain cancer and was probably not thinking clearly, still, this will help the economy because you reduce overhead and the need for a distributed workforce. People will now have to actually work harder as there will be competition in the workplace again.
