This is a good "Gun Culture" book (may get you on a watch list, I don't know) and a little long winded but works very well as a guide through the erosion of our Civil Liberties.
It also has a Finnish L-39 Lahti Norsupyssy anti-tank gun in it, which is my personal favorite.
