"Human exploration of our entire solar system by the end of this century should be NASA’s focus and goal." -Donald Trump

So, sensible people can agree that he has no fucking clue when it comes to space exploration, right?

why? whats wrong with that statement?

We will never leave this rock. You would have to pack every bit of food, every drop of water, every breath of air and all the energy necessary to get you and those provisions to your destination. Even if it was possible to get all of that matter up to the speed of light, it's not, it would take decades to get anywhere in space. Humans in such conditions would certainly evolve quickly into creatures very much not human. We are stuck here with the fucking Kike overlords. Unless you know, like Jesus and stuff.

he said solar system you nigger

Trump retarded, in other news, water wet

Human space exploration is fucking retarded. 99% of everything a human has to bring to space is
Food
Water
Air
A large enough space to exist without going insane within days
Not to mention shit like exercise equipment so your bones don't turn to glass and the fucking lead we have to like spaceships with to protect us from radiation.

Sending humans to space for any reason other than to do experiments in already existing stations or to colonize something is ridiculously wasteful when you can just send a robot who doesn't give a shit about food, water, or the radioactive vacuum of space. Trump doesn't care about actually exploring our solar system efficiently, he just said what would be most likely to elicit an emotional response from the idiots who voted for him.

Dream big or don't dream at all. You know how you dream of your bulls big black dick? Well, we dream of space exploration in the same way you faggot.

Your dream is inefficient and ridiculously expensive.

Robots should always be our eyes in space.

>We will never leave this rock.
we already did. reached the moon.

next stop is Mars, then a Jupiter Moon and then a Saturn Moon.

>You would have to pack every bit of food, every drop of water, every breath of air and all the energy necessary to get you and those provisions to your destination.
so what?
its not impossible to build a ship like that.

>Even if it was possible to get all of that matter up to the speed of light, it's not, it would take decades to get anywhere in space.
Obviously the Goal of reaching other Solar systems is a few hundred years in the future at best, we haven't even properly explored everything in our own.

>Humans in such conditions would certainly evolve quickly into creatures very much not human.
not a problem technology can't solve.

I think a permanent Moonbase might be the next Step, Humanity needs a backup place in case Earth gets fucked for some time.

Who gives a shit faggot. I'd starve you to death for a pound of solid rocket fuel.

You're not quite understanding that the monetary cost of sending humans to space is the largest limiting factor.

Yeah, you could send a team of actual humans to explore that large body in our solar system. Or you could send one robot who can do all the same shit for 1/10th the cost. (1/100th if you actually wanted to land humans on the surface of that body and get them back!)

It's wasteful. For every manned launch we could be sending up DOZENS of probes and learning so much more in a much shorter time.

>implying

Look up generation ships and stop being so depressed.

Human colonization of all the habitable bodies in the galaxy is technically (massive fucking "technically") possible with the technology we have now. It will just take a few million years.

>we already did. reached the moon.
objection

NASA has been useless for decades and everyone including NASA and Trump knows they aren't going back into space.

We left equipment on the moon that you can literally see with a powerful enough telescope.

There are mirrors there we shoot lasers at every day.

But I bet the space Jews put them there or something, to trick the goyim.

Exploration then colonization

I agree 100%

Leave the exploration part to robots, though.

By now I think we know for sure he has no fucking clue about anything in particular except how con half a country into office.

>elicit an emotional response
Have you noticed how there really has been zero space exploration in the USA since the cold war? It seems as though emotional response is part of motivation and follow-through. Are you autistic by any chance?

>stop giving NASA the same funds we used to because nobody cares about competing with Russia anymore

>suddenly, with less money, less work gets done

Fucking gee

"And as I've mentioned, we've all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry. The unawareness remains strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking - and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging."

wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/3599

But nah faggot, Hillary was a good candidate, right?

GOD BLESS YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP!

He says shit but doesn't fund it

>You're not quite understanding that the monetary cost of sending humans to space is the largest limiting factor.
for now, if we can lower the cost per kg some more we can go wherever we want, and there is much room for improvement.

>Yeah, you could send a team of actual humans to explore
Its not about exploring, well not only, its about buulding the foundation of entire colonys of Humans in space.

We need a backup place in case earth gets fucked which is very likely to happen, and if we learned one thing then it is "don't put all your eggs in one basket", or don't put all your humans on one rock.

what is wrong with that? We should've been on Mars by now. But because 'murrica wanted wars and shit, we are still here. Bravo Trump!

That sounds like more than "end of the century".

Compare the alarmist warming budget to actual space exploration

>We will never leave this rock.
remove yourself surfacenigger

He's right, you know.

We have two choices:

>continue to give gifts that aren't appreciated to cunts and niggers guaranteeing our extinction when earth's resources are exhausted or they kill us off, whichever comes first.
>get rid of the cunts and niggers and re-direct the resources saved towards settling the solar system

Give white men the freedom to explore the galaxy that they want. Earth was merely their cradle.

Give cunts and niggers the equality they want. Let Earth be their grave.

Serious question, when we colonize Mars, and they start having kids, the difference in environment is going to create a new species of human right?

>You're not quite understanding that the monetary cost of sending humans to space is the largest limiting factor.
And you're not quite understanding that we're going to do it anyway, cuck.

Decisions like this that can determine whether or not our entire fucking race is still around in a few hundred years should not be made based off of what people who don't know shit about it think, and the fact that you support him for catering to the lowest common denominator is disgusting.

You know, an ideal space colony for humanity probably shouldn't be attached to a surface, at least at first. It would be much better to make a space station that could support multiple generations of humans, since then you could send those people anywhere or just have them chill in orbit until it's safe to return to Earth.

The solution to overpopulation, the environment, and human potential lies in space. If we start terraforming other planets that have atmospheres like Mars by the end of this century we could essentially have brand new planets in the century after that.

Unlike you, user, Trump knows that investing in doing something difficult can yield massive rewards, even if it is just solely for securing a legacy beyond his presidency.

IF we move the entire Apollo Program that took us to the moon and adjust to match 2017 USD, the entire program would have cost $186 Billion. Less than 1/3 of the annual Military budget. I'm not saying stop military spending, but look at what a massive budget can achieve.

trump: we should be doing ex
the fake news appaaratus: we can all agree that trump has no fucking clue about x

x happens either way anyway

If that's what he said, he's literally right about that, you fucking moron.

I read somewhere that women control 80 percent of consumption in developed economies. To put it another way, perhaps 40+% of GDP is wasted on women's toys.

>perfect artificial wombs
>perfect sex dolls
>haul the cunts off to the knacker's yard

Hey presto---you'll have all the resources you need to send men to Mars.

No, that's not how evolution works. You need selective pressure that kills individuals with undesirable traits before they can breed. Species don't just spontaneously acquire beneficial traits in response to their environment.
The most you'd get is a bit of genetic drift from a small, inbreeding population.

Perhaps over a million years dumbass

there's nothing out there. It's a big waste of money. using telescopes and other sensors is the best way to explore.

Yeah sorta like going on a voyage with a ship over the ocean. Only you need to carry a system to recycle your air.

great plan but NASA is disbanded. How will he pull this off as the US have pulled out of exploration of space. Only ESA is left doing its job.

But there is NO REASON to send people to explore! To colonize? Fucking obviously you need people, but when it comes to taking soil samples and shit, determining the contents of the atmosphere, whether this body CAN be habitable? All better, cheaper, and more efficiently done with probes.

Robotic exploration, human colonization. It's not hard to comprehend.

Almost all of that cost was because we had to send humans (ignoring the bragging rights factor, machines back then weren't quite dexterous enough) to space.

If that massive budget was still used, it would be much more efficient to just send MORE probes, instead of dumping all that money on a handful of manned trips.

Wtf I hate space exploration now

>So, sensible people can agree that he has no fucking clue when it comes to space exploration, right?

Human exploration? Too dangerous, distances too great -- fucking impossible. The inner planets, maybe, but I don't see humans landing on Venus or Mercury unless they're willing to be incinerated.

Not only this but you FORCE the economy away from vicarious shit like gaming (and the shitty standard of passable programming) and people have to actually display their abilities.

I vote Uncle Chang for minister of space. Where you at Chang?

Giving niggers welfare and healthcare is a waste of money. Space exploration is one of the few good things the feds still do from time to time.

"why were money exploring the oceans, there's nothing out there but more water and eventually the end of the map"
People who are against space exploration are going against history.

And God Bless America.

"There's nothing out there"

Besides precious metals in abundance.
Nigger do you have any idea how much MONEY the first guy who figures out how to mine asteroids will make? The motherfucker will be declared King of Earth, calling it now.

Third choice: combine the black egypt and ancient alien conspiracies
>WE WUZ MARTIANS
and stick Jamal on a rocket to his homeland.

No way would it take a million years you fucking retard. Under those conditions 5000 years could have a pretty big influence. 1/3 gravity. Climate controlled environments with very little sunlight, Not to mention the people who would breed there would have higher intelligence. Earth humans would be super men.

You wouldn't land on venus, you would float a large blimp/sky city on the atmosphere. Lrn5spess

Not really. We're gonna terraform the place to hell and back. Selection pressures will be pretty much the same, or even lighter.

You fucking dumbshit, the whole problem is that spending money on sending humans to explore is wasteful when you can just send robots. Read the fucking thread.

>every bit of food
food can be grown with energy
>every drop of water
water can be recycled with energy
>every breath of air
air can be recycled with energy
>all the energy necessary
Well this is the tricky part, but light is everywhere in the universe. We could conceivably use solar panels or nuclear or a combination of the two.

What about the gravity?

why don't we use magnets?

If we cut all contact with them for many hundreds of thousands years then maybe.

Can't fix it.

Martians will be fine, there's enough Gravity to stop our bodies from falling apart, but after a few generations visiting Earth becomes dangerous.

All the bitching over trump's statement is hilarious.

he did not say I WANT TO SEND MANNED COLONY SHIPS ACROSS THE GALAXY

he did not even say I WANT A MAN ON EVERY PLANET IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM

he merely nasa's focus should be further exploring and understanding of our own solar system.

WHICH IS LITERALLY THE MOST REASONABLE, LOGICAL ASSIGNMENT ANYONE COULD COME UP WITH FOR NASA.

the vague generalness of his plan could include sending out more probes, robots, and drones to planets and asteroids *and* attempts to send people back to the moon and onward to mars, which have been our basic, logical, incremental goals since spaceflight was first dream of.

IRREGARDLESS of the details of trump's nasa plans... he probably, mostly made this statement to countermand >pic related

Holy shit
You're right

>he merely nasa's focus should be further exploring and understanding of our own solar system.

He specifically said "manned" exploration. That's the problem.

Funny how ignoring a single word can make a statement 100% more or less retarded.

As funny as it is this is semi-sound.

A rail gun could theoretically send small packages to space for very little money per-launch.

>no fucking clue when it comes to space exploration

We'll have a manned mission to the sun soon.

>I am ignorant about means to colonize space so PRAISE JESUS (One true god of the kikes).

He means footprints and flags. Not a person on every spacecraft.

shit like that is a source of national pride that we are sorely lacking.

we need to deal with this liberal-political correctness-affirmative action problem BEFORE we start dragging dindus to every corner of the universe.
Once we colonize the universe with space faring niggers, the only escape we will have left is to flee to another dimension.

>He specifically said "manned" exploration. That's the problem.

where where where

quote quote quote

he did not you faggot faggot faggot

even in the quote from OP the word 'manned' is not included

We're going to build a moonbase and land a human on Mars because those are actual accomplishments. Enough with your faggot probes and robots analyzing dirt.

>With adequate funding, this is certainly possible. He said exploration, not colonization.

>diverse space program

There are only two planets that can sustain life in our Solar System, and those planets are Earth and Mars. Jupiter's moons are not worth exploring, the only moon that is worth a damn is Saturn's Titan.

Manned exploration is a good thing dipshit.

There's literally no good reason for a terrestrial moonbase of any size.

Then stay here with the sand niggers you fucking cuck

Wrong.
You can produce your own oxygen and food, and you can recycle water.

"Human" exploration and "manned" exploration mean the same fucking thing you stupid pest.
>he actually wants to send people to Mars before a colony is ready to be built or something
Yeah, it's so fucking useful to spend an additional tens of billions of dollars to send a fleshy robot with feelings as opposed to a regular one.

Man, this board is a special kind of stupid. Remind me not to try again, I only see a lost cause.

mars has no magnetic field. It cannot ever sustain life.

Only as a source of national pride.

>not understanding how perfectly logical and banal Trump's statement truly was.

Why is it so difficult to understand that man exploring the solar system in the next 80 years is perfectly reasonable? We know how to get to mars, that's most likely going to happen within the next 30 years...

>Yeah, it's so fucking useful to spend an additional tens of billions of dollars to send a fleshy robot with feelings as opposed to a regular one.

Space travel is useless you stupid cuck. Going there is just for national pride in our abilities.

you are dumb

>monetary limit
There's an asteroid with 14 quadrillion dollars worth of rare metals, space is quite capable of paying for itself
Mining these things might only be a few decades out

>A large enough space to exist without going insane within days
Then recruit a crack team of hikiNEET space explorers.

Because we can.
There is literally no good reason to send shitty probes to look at dirt. NASA should be working on logistical problems of humans living extra-terrestrially.

You should probably just kys since there's no point in advancing the human race in your opinion. Just fade away, the sooner the better.

You say this like it's a bad thing. When you don't know about something, you don't know the limits, thus there really are none.

4D chess.

Literally nothing. It's just some dumb commies still don't know about bots.

yes and it would cost at least 15-30 quadrillion dollars to harvest it all, especially because of diminishing returns by flooding the market with a commodity.

It's very massive and moving very fast. We can't just pluck it and bring it down for free.

Good. Then we will build a dysonsphere around our system to keep xeno sum out.

Because fuck off we're full.

That is not how human enterprise works.

Case in point: you do not shop for groceries outside of your state. "because you can" is a retarded justification.

>Not wanting to explore space

Wrong.

> by the end of this century

What a cuck. More like by 2030.

What is there to be done?
>muh exploration
Exploration is a meme. We don't need it we're fat and rich.

That is exactly how every human enterprise works. Life is shit and then you die. There's no reason to do anything other than to spit in the face of the universe.

Just because you phrase a stupid idea as a stupid analogy doesn't make the idea less stupid.

>should always be our eyes in space

They will be. Until we go. He said end of the century, not end of the year, you illiterate halfwit.

WRAAAAAAANG, elon will take us there in the next 5 years

clueless
