Well, you asked right at a time where most Dutchies are either at work or at college /University, and I am travelling on public transport at the moment.

Guns are basically illegals, there are just 2 exceptions. The first is for hunters, the second is for sports shooters. The easiest is probably sports shooting because then you don't actually need to hunt.
First, you need to become a member of a shooting club. This process takes about 1-2 months, will cost you €40 for a background check, €100 signup fee and a €250 yearly fee. For the first year of your membership you can't own any weapons or ammunition, and can only shoot club-owned .22 weapons. After a year you can finally purchase a SINGLE weapon in .22, costing you €80 for a yearly firearms license. This weapon has to be stored in a safe that is bolted down to your house, ammunition has to be kept in a seperate safe. You can only transport your gun directly from your home to the range and back.
After those 2 years, you can finally move up 1 step and own a 9mm gun, still costing you €80 yearly license free for every gun you own. After 3 years in total, you can finally own any caliber, and own more guns, I think the max is 12 though. Also, you cannot have more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition in total.
Any form of carrying your weapon, brandishing your weapon, or using it for self defense is illegal.

0 to 19982 = 37%
19982 to 67072 = 41%
67072+ = 52%
Sales tax is 21% standard and 6% for life essentials like food.

Roads are overcrowded and there's constant traffic jams. The quality of the roads themselves is pretty good though. Public transport is acceptable, you can get from mostly anywhere to anywhere else, although it's slow and expensive and there are common delays.
Infrastructure is pretty good; regular tweaking. It's shit around the border because Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands don't really care for a few fields and bridges.

I would recommend the south (Noord-Brabant/North-Brabant for example), but even that is a bit tricky. You should avoid Tilburg in the south but the rural villages are 99% a-okay.
