Hong was our guy

Moon hates gays AND the USA

have fun being being invaded by north korea

so what does this victory mean for sk

A return to the status quo, hopefully

We don't want a war with the North and Trump and China are using us as a proxy conflict

Which would be better, if Trump wasn't also telling us to pay his ass

fuck that

>11th world military power invaded by the 25th
NK aren't invading shit

So, you think this guy will be good for South Korea?

t. NSA pro
Fuck the conservatives and their shitty mommy state that monitors you in your sleep. Liberals are /ourguys/

bogtwinsinspacesuits.png
Someone give me a quick rundown on this

1 billion dollars to protect you from your retarded northern neighbor.

Enjoy you nuclear hellfire.

South Korea:
Population: 50 Million
Every man has military training
and we have food
North Korea
Population: 25 Million
Their hardware is decades out of date
and they're malnourished
PLACE YOUR BETS FOLKS

Literally who? You give no background of the man or implications of his presidency.

>because they're called liberals Sup Forums will automatically hate them

but doesn't like 80% of your population live in range of even the lousiest artillery he's got ?

So what are his political stances and policies?

>liberal wins
all I need to hear

keep pretending that you're here out of the goodness of your hearts and NOT because you want as many bases around China as possible

Seoul will probably be wrecked but you'll win
Remember they're communists who just charge in and will die like rats

When you see white people like that do you believe they are supermen?

>status quo
And what would that be in SK, exactly?

absolutely no one should be surprised by this. The conservatives had zero chance

The real question is if he will truly continue to toe the line of appeasement his party espouses or if the crisis in NK will reach a breaking point. Personally I think it's appeasement from here on out and nothing big will happen

"military training" not experience. Better than NK though. What does it mean for Starcraft

here's a good primer for you
nytimes.com/2017/05/09/world/asia/south-korea-election-what-we-know.html

they most likely picked the tallest, beefiest dude they had to be on dmz duty to scare the norks.

>london was btfo to hell and back in ww2, made a recovery 2 years after
>seoul's destruction is permanent

economic stability

fewer cult sacrifices

the extent of conflict being the North doing passive-aggressive shit like literally sending helium balloons with bags of dog shit and cigarette butts across the border

Not really, the average height of a Korean 18 year old is pretty much on-par with Americans now, believe it or not, 18 year old men are now like 5 foot 10 inches on average, we're the biggest Asians now.

sounds like south vietnam vs north vietnam honestly

manlets fight like tigers
and that's why you'll lose, manlets always win

basically
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunshine_Policy
combined with the border skirmish bullshit of the past few years. none of the parties on the peninsula, whether that's NK, SK, China, or the US, actually have an agreeable solution to the problem and the status quo is preferable for all parties. It gives the US an excuse to station troops there, it lets China have their little buffer, it lets Kim stay in power in the North and do his little juche thing, and it keeps SK out of war and economically stable. The only wrench in the works here is if NK actually does manage to get nukes it could upset the balance and cause a real crisis. This is why even China is getting pissed off at the idea. No one wants to upset the stability because that means lots of lost money. Except NK who values ideals and their national survival over money, obviously.

Study of average height of people born in 1996 in each country.

We're only like 1-2 cms shorter than Westerners now

The Sunshine Policy sound very reasonable.
(((Trump))) is going to be a prolem.

>hungry manlets with only remorse in their heads willing to die for their leader

Ofc nk wins.

this new guy isn't sure he wants THAAD? Fuck Sup Forums's warmongering but that seems pretty dumb
NK is never disarming or giving up nuclear dev.

So they elected a communist?

>muh reunification

no

If it keeps up, venezuela status

Let's be honest here, "South Korea" never existed to begin with. It was always DPRK and DPRK in denial.

Welp a communist has become president of south korea. Hope you enjoyed your Samsung TVs and Kpop while it lasted.

>175cms
you're under 5' 9" you gook manlet

also north koreans are taller than i thought they'd be

...

#NotAllWesterners, Sweden

Just the Amerifats, the Britfags and such

THAT MEANS WORLD WAR 3 IS COMING

...

Those mean heights aren't measured by ethnicity though. Non whites bring the average height down in many of western countries.

which one is real, i cant tell

Is he controlled by a feminist cult?

>actually believing western propaganda
NK have been in the top 10 for a while.

Average height in the US is only like 5'10" now cause of all the short tubby spics.

Liberalism in nonwhite countries is ok.

Good
I want Skorea to burn internally

I'm happy that South Korean are not cucks and chose the right leader.
It's now time that World leaders should stop being puppets of the US imperialists and being a proxy to wage a conflict.

Regardless of whether or not it's reasonable, the problem is that appeasing NK will only work for so long. Once they have nuclear weapons the situation is much more urgent. Forget the "ICBMs to reach US soil" bullshit, that's not important. The point is that North Korea as of right now has the capability to destroy a large portion of SK and their artillery forces are quite numerous. Actually the NK artillery is the most strategically important part of their army. Part of the reason why it's so important is because it represents a threat constantly hanging over the South and in a way they hold SK hostage. Nuclear weapons greatly amplify their ability to hold SK hostage, thus acting as a huge force multiplier even for a country as poor as NK, and a massive stumbling block for invaders as well. Naval invasion becomes much less attractive when beachheads can be wiped out with atomic bombs, for example.

So TL;DR most SK politicians want to solve the crisis by avoiding it for as long as they can, but nukes are a ticking time bomb that may tip the balance for NK irreversibly. This is a problem that needs solving but no one wants to acknowledge it.

Also imo Trump isn't really a factor here, he doesn't have much of a say in military operations because he's so inexperienced and aloof. I'm convinced his staff will handle any serious decision making here.

those are heights at age 18 (5 foot 7.5 inches)

at full development we hit around 5'9 - 5'10 now.

AMERIKEKS and FALSE KOREA absolutely BTFO

>we hit around 5'9 - 5'10 now.
you hit 5' 9" you gaylord

Yeah, I know all of that, but whatcha gonna do realistically?
It's not like Kim is going to stop developing nukes if you ask nicely, and neither he's going to stop if you threaten him. I don't know too much about the geopolitical balance in Korea, but the only way to stop NK's nuclear program seems to be war.

You owe us a fuck ton of money. We could just take everything and go home. Watch the north steamroll you

Am 6ft Jap. Suck it, yobo.

Ok, I guess you'll be fine under China's influence. I mean there's absolutely no South Korean benefit in projecting power against China. Have fun fighting China and NK by yourself.

There's basically only one option: war. That's the bitter pill SK is going to swallow either now or later. If they continue to appease NK then eventually NK will try to pressure them into a lopsided unification, or even a federation of some kind, and SK will be forced to concede some sovereignty. Kim isn't building up his military so he can let it rust after all. So eventually for whatever reason, push will come to shove. The question is when, and how.

There are two things SK can do once pressured: concede, or refuse. If they refuse then it may be war. If they concede, well then that's just surrender, isn't it? So the point is, waiting for Kim to develop nukes before taking action is dangerously stupid. The ruling class of NK needs to be removed from power as soon as possible pending unification. The only real stumbling block to that is China. But I think China may find themselves dragged into the eventual war as well, and so it seems like a stupid idea for them to back NK at all. Actually I don't see much of a tangible benefit for them other than "our border can't have US troops on it" which is stupid in this day and age where US satellites are filming everything, US ships are sailing by, US planes are flying overhead, etc. anyway. China's main geopolitical doctrine is setting up buffer zones around their core area, but there comes a time when doctrine needs to be set aside to address reality. Hopefully Xi has realized that in his recent meeting with Trump.

I'm pretty sure if you just keep Trump off the Golf course and move your first lady to the White House, you'll save all the money you've ever spent ""Protecting"" "us

Kim welcomes you to join back and stop this childish play. Best Korea is called Best Korea for a reason.

don't bother replying. There's a complete disconnect between what average people in the US think the situation in Korea is like and what people in SK think it's like. There's a misconception that the south korean people are entitled and we're their saviors protecting them out of the goodness of our hearts or something, Trump's talk about payment is just a symptom of this problem. Trump is known for saying whatever is on his mind at the moment he's not a professional when it comes to military, political, diplomatic, or really any matters, so it's unsurprising he spouted the same view the average american would.

>we dont want a happening

You best be careful with that talk round here boy

>The ruling class of NK needs to be removed from power as soon as possible
Yes, then what? Excuse me if I don't trust too much the idea of regime change. It literally never worked. For example, how fanatic is Kim's army? If you kill him, will they just accept it, or will they fight to death to avenge him?
Also,
>implying that a war now isn't going to fuck SK anyway

Not sure if you're joking or not.

The numbers cited to suggest it's costing some huge amount to protect the president are inflated by combining the numbers for protecting much of the city as would normally be done. It would occur wherever he was, but it gets brought up when people want an excuse to complain. As though there's an alternative such as "just have him at the White House" that would solve the budget issues.

If South Korea doesn't want to help pay for its own defense it'll become a talking point in the US for being against helping SK with North Korea.

>For example, how fanatic is Kim's army? If you kill him, will they just accept it, or will they fight to death to avenge him?
the more realistic scenario is what happened in Iraq, where you overthrow the dictator and former members of the elite create ISIS

or if you train a paramilitary force to take out these insurgents and they become insurgents themselves, like the Zeros in mexico

>slovenia and croatia are deep blue
Wew

>or if you train a paramilitary force to take out these insurgents and they become insurgents themselves, like the Zeros in mexico
Or the Free Syrian Army

See, I agree with the fact that regime change has not worked out well in the past, but this is a different scenario from invading some MENA shithole and leaving enforced democracy behind.

First of all, there's no need to install a totally new government because one already exists in the South. This isn't like Iraq where we're toppling a dictator and leaving some fuck behind, it's a reunification of a country. That country also already has a constitution and is pretty stable.

Second of all, unlike the Middle East, there aren't myriad religious and sectarian interests gumming up the works. This is a cut and dry deal compared to the Syrian civil war for example.

Third, unlike MENA, there aren't countless terrorist fanatics streaming in from every direction to answer a call to arms. There is no Korean equivalent of Hezbollah, there are no recruiting bases for Kim followers outside of NK. The enemy is much more contained and much more possible to defeat. And even within the country support for him is clearly not universal, this much is known from defectors.

>For example, how fanatic is Kim's army? If you kill him, will they just accept it, or will they fight to death to avenge him?
Imo, this is irrelevant. There will always be partisan activity after any occupation and any war with NK will inevitably be seen by at least some of its people as a foreign imperialist invasion. It's unavoidable that there may be some fanatics who fight to the death or perform suicide bombings or something. But the important thing is that fanaticism alone can't win a modern war. It can only cause problems for a little while in the form of terrorism, and long-term terrorism requires a recruiting base, monetary support, and more. None of which Kim's personality cult has, as opposed to Islamic extremism. So any attempts to liken an invasion of NK to Iraq or whatever is barking up the wrong tree.

No matter what would happen it would be a real shitshow for our economy

If we had a war, and it was indecisive, and Seoul took a beating, we lose a shitload of money

If we won the war to the point of reunification, it would be even worse, because then we'd have 25 million malnourished, uneducated, brainwashed commies who have never even seen a computer, much less the internet, to suddenly care for (or for china to care for, and they don't want them either), and our currency value would plummet.

If we LOST the war, well obviously that would just be shit all around for everyone.

So the best course of action anyone can actually see is to just wait it out for Kim's regime to eventually crumble, then immediately try and secure any and all nuclear material before it goes missing, and keep the North quarantined off until they can be brought out of the dark ages for a peaceful transition

Just rushing in guns blazing without "Just Cause" is just begging for disaster for us.

They would shell the shit out of Seoul and then we'd have to respond with prejudice, and then China and the USA and Japan and everyone else would jump in and all that is nothing anyone wants.

So yes, let's go back to the status quo.

If the average American is worried about the "1 Billion Dollars" spent annually to "Protect South Korea", you must think of the costs of the alternatives.

I'll give you a hint, it's WAYYY more than $1 Billion per year.

>Also,
>>implying that a war now isn't going to fuck SK anyway
That's my point. They're going to be hurt by war eventually, they will have to accept this at some point. Either they do it now before Kim can acquire/miniaturize his nuclear technology, or they wait and let him build up even more. Kim performing nuclear tests is like the remilitarization of the Rhineland, a response of inaction or weak posturing now will be viewed in hindsight as wasteful and stupid.

>18 year old men are now like 5 foot 10 inches on average

I am not whatsoever about "hehe manlets" but this is bullshit. Most korean guys are like 5'8.

Appeasement policy toward North Korea a.k.a send billions of dollars just like liberal government did in late 90's.

Expanding Ministry of Women to give it unprecedented authority. MoW already wields powerful banhammer on social and cultural aspects in all of South Korea. Now it will be even stronger.

Crippled National Security Agency. Liberals hate national security for some reason. The agency will be prohibited from investigating citizens under Moon's regime.

Far less military cooperation with the U.S. More friendly policy with China and North Korea. Moon opposed USFK's installing of THAAD radar. His agenda is identical with president Xi's.

And finally, Moon plans to unite Korea as low-level federation. Meaning North Korea will get to keep their system as communist military dictatorship with Kim as the leader. South Korea will be the one to bend over backwards to facilitate this ridiculous political union. It will not only legitimize Kim's regime but also be a massive drain on South Korea's budget.

In short, we are fucked.

>let's keep waiting, it's definitely going to work

Selfish Koreans. You want to put 300 millions Americans at risk just so you can live in your adult Disneyland for 5 more years?

Artillery on Seoul is way better than tactical nukes btw.

>have deal in place for defense systems
>trump goes "i have altered the deal goy"
>SK laughs

>implying any of this is actually within his power

And when the North gets multi-stage, and/or miniaturizes their nukes to where they can fit on a missile?

I hear you that you don't want a war, now, but who knows what China will do, what America will do once NK gets real, travelling nukes.

At any rate, I'm with my American fellows - we should leave you to yourselves.

is he going to kill kpop

I hope so
It's pure degeneracy

Korean anons I beg a question, why is your country so fucking degenerate compared to other Asian countries?

considering his campaign trucks have been driving around blasting a Kpop song he had commissioned ABOUT him to use as promotion, I'm going to say "no".

With Ahn's party in disarray and conservatives divided, Moon's party is very likely to achieve super majority in the next congressional election.

Not to mention Moon pretty much eliminated all of anti-Moon elements in the party when Moon-Ahn divorce happened.

He is unstoppable. Whatever he wants, it will happen.

Because they banned porn, so they have to make up for it in other ways.

oh god, i want their giant tennis shoes waggling in the air above me as i'm between their skinny little legs...

the center 3 are the prettiest, too.

Compared to what, mongolia? This country is a (((u.s.))) economic colony. They got jewed hard and in return got a gigantic SOL leap.

Moon Jae In what?

Korea:
>women suppressed and objectified constantly
>rape allegations laughed out of court with regularity
>nationalistic, racist tendencies
>no anime
>1950's value system

>degenerate
it's like you don't even know about us at all

Feminism Overdrive
And a ministry that hates videogames

Actually Skoreans are westaboos and are the most western of the Asian countries
Japan and China are meme tier while every other Asian country no except Singapore is a third world shithole.

Moon Jae In the presidency.

You /might/ say that the Kim series will be happy and peaceful once they get nukes - their dicks are now big enough, their egos are satisfied, they'll feel more secure and just have bigger parades - but, don't you think they'll try to use them into making the west and SK their bitches? I don't know - a bad bet.

What artist? Asking for a friend.

>Moon: H-hey guys, my main platform is to TALK with North korea and ask them to stop with the nuclear missile stuff
>Opposition: "What if they say... no..?`
>Moon: ..........

Let me tell you how this will work out.

He, as a liberal. Will bring North korea to the negotiation table.
North korea will demand payments in order for them to stop the nuclear program and launches.
South korea, which is now liberal. Will say "Ok" to their demands in order to progress the peacetalks.
North korea will get a few billions and will just keep developing their nuclear program underground.
>1-3 years passes
South korea now notice that North korea didn't keep their words. (dah)
Brings North korea back to the negotiation table.
North korea tells them that they didn't pay enough.
South korea will get mad.

This shitshow of countries are ridiculous.

youtube.com/watch?v=GTb_RSc-g10

He commissioned a Twice Cheer Up parody for election campaign
Easy way to bait in the millennials

Best Korea will indeed win now

is it me or do asian have weird knees

Manlet detected

>women suppressed
Heard of the cult of megalia?
>rape allegations laughed out of court
lmao I guess Islam isn't degenerate then
>nationalistic, racist tendencies
Then why are bl*cks gaining prominence in media like that darkie Sam Okyere?
>No anime
Your youth worships that shit don't lie :^)
>1950's value system
