it is the prioritisation of money over heritage to rediculous degree. im not naive, i know cost effectivness is important but wealth isnt everything in life and i think a good balance could be made. they could have at least bulit these ugly buildings away from the historical architecture like a lot of other european cities do.
ive been to many european cities that managed to strike a good balance and the new and old architecture so it didnt look like shit. the new buldings had a bit of thought put into them so that they complimented the surrounding cityscape
