So no it's not that "we wuz romans" because the roman empire occurred certainly after the conclusion of the ice age, his argument is that those areas would've been previously much cooler and more heavily forested during the ice age era, and would've been inhabited by fairer skinned people (thus why many of the civilizations had remaining Germanics in them such as the example provided, even West Anatolia has many of Germanic descent with blue eyes)
