I've been conducting extensive research on this matter for the last 15 years or so. It has more to do with liking your drink, a crazy night out, being someone who plays an instrument, or being pissed off in general/high testosterone. Also if you get involved in it locally it has a very strong sense of community, loyalty and belonging that attracts people.
