In the mosque they had to perform a prayer, my brother refused like most of the boys in his class. But all the girls did there prayer.

I have vague memories of being taken to visit a mosque back in primary school, can't say it had much impact on me.
That said - we also had daily prayer and our head master read some story from the bible or other moral fiber building anecdote before we sang along to a good hymn.
Not sure how much that offset it, but the mosque trip was unimpactful as fuck, I just remember them smelling funny and having to wash my hands.
