Why do the most eco neo-liberal countries (UK, Australia, USA, Canada) have the shittiest roads?
I have driven/used ground vehicle transportation in many countries and these countries have almost the same standard of third world ones.
Can it be right wing governments putting such low taxes that they cant afford to remade/repair them? Who is gonna do it, if not the government?

Most of the worst roads are in Democrat strongholds. Anyone who has driven between Commiefornia and Arizona can tell you the difference in road quality is amazing.
The roads most people drive on are managed at a municipal level, and municipal governments are horrendously mismanaged hives of nepotism.

It feels like a lot of local councils do little to deal with bad potholes here and instead just wait till a road is just completely fucked (and there's a local election coming up) before they'll just resurface it completely. Fucked if I know what else council rates supposedly go towards, because I'm sure they get more than enough within cities to keep roads in decent condition.

I lived in California for nearly 30 years, the reason its shit has nothing to do with fucking weather patterns lol. California refuses to upgrade its highways and there's too much traffic for roads designed for 1970s traffic.
