Why do liberals, lefties and celebrities shill for weed so much?
Hollywood and the entertainment industry pump out pro-weed propaganda for decades, and now weed is getting legalised and looking to be a hugely profitable industry.
At the same time, young people are getting dissuaded from physical activity in favour of smoking weed and doing nothing. And in the end it just makes most users depressed or mentally ill or worse.
How can we stop this Sup Forums?

if the goal is to destablize and wrestle away control from the western nations, giving the population pacifying narcotics over conventional narcotics like alchohol or cigarettes would aide in their goal.

I personally want pot legalized, but I dont want the cancerous US or middle eastern culture to surround it. Occasional use is fine, making it a daily thing or even a defining feature of oneself is an easy way to destroy your life.

I used to have dumbass classmates that would smoke heavily in between classes. Getting very drunk in between classes would be much more noticable and since people wont get away with it they dont do it.

Kids in my year at school would get stoned every day, and many were flat out addicted to weed (i.e. had to smoke everyday to function/feel normal).
But there wasn't one who was an alcoholic.
And this isn't to defend drinking alcohol to excess. But you are simply far less-likely to become an alcoholic if drink sometimes than if you experiment regularly with smoking pot.
both weed and alcohol can be very addictive if consumed regularly, also weed is easier for underage people to get because 9/10 dealers are scum bags that sell to anyone, whereas bottle shops can be easily fined out of business if they were to regularly sell to children

I could cite for you an entire litany of studies on its negative effects on the developing brain. If young people knew they were shaving off seven or so IQ points by being a weed zombie and smoking every day, I truly believe the usage rates would plummet among younger people.

I don't think anybody is denying that weed is harmful to teenagers. That's why all legalization efforts are very strict about the 21+ rule.
Interestingly at my highschool it was WAY easier for people to get weed than it was for them to get alcohol. I didn't use either in high school, but if I had wanted weed I knew exactly where to get it whereas alcohol would have been much harder.
