Modern TV sucks and everyone is slowly cutting the cable. Music however, the fuck? Music is awesome!
Ayden Hall
TV is great for family bonding. Binging shows on Netflix or whatever rots your head far worse.

Only thing that I watch is The Walking Dead. Some left wing propaganda here and there but I try to ignore it because I like the story.
Owen Green
I'm glad this is ur blog faggot. Also no one watches tv anymore. Music is all indie shit now.
Liam Rivera
Daily reminder that if you watch tv you haven't even considered taking the redpill.
Xavier Martinez
I stopped watching Sup Forums when I found the internet, which was about 12 years ago.
It is actually quite shocking when I glimpse something on Sup Forums now, the parodies from when I used to watch it are now serious.

Sometimes I watch the (((news))) when I visit my parents, but I dont watch tv when I'm home at my own apartment.

>TV is great for family bonding.
Because nothing says "family bonding" like silently staring at a screen for hours on end, right?
James Reed
If TV rots your brain Sup Forums rips it out your skull and screams racial slurs at it
Logan Cooper
I stopped watching TV when I discovered the internet at like age 7. Even if it did take a whole day to watch a 30 second vid.
Jason Cox

THIS. For example, I saw an ad poster which read, "Dexter - America's Favorite Serial Killer".
In the 80's, that would have been a sick joke in a film about a dystopic future society. (And yes, I've watched it; but the degeneration is not lost on me.)
But now it's UNIRONICALLY REAL. And there's TONS of horrible shit like that, especially in the "reality TV" realm (all those "wife swap" shows, etc).
Before long we really WILL have public executions on TV in the form of a game show.
Christopher Murphy
pretty sure most people eventually stop watching television. although for most people its a primary source of entertainment, i stopped watching t.v like around 2007.
Julian Sullivan
No I read.
No ads, no bullshit, just pure quality.
For me TV/film is almost entirely just a social activity, or a way to entertain myself while learn a new language. There is the rare exception but this is my general attitude
Nolan Watson
>Before long we really WILL have public executions on TV in the form of a game show. Depending on who we're executing, that's not bad at all.
Even if Gladiators are a bit of a meme, I'd still have went to see the blood.

just sports at this point. once you take enough red pills, it's impossible to look past all the anti-male, anti-family, pro-left everything that's everywhere on every channel and during every commercial break.
Colton Turner
The Internet is just as bad. Better to shun ALL technology and media including newspapers and magazines
Camden Torres

There is actually merit to what he says, Pineapple.
Modern music is mastered to be as LOUD as possible, and this loss of dynamic range creates a solid wall of noise which fatigues the brain.
Google "loudness war" to read all about it.
Alexander Hill
>implying laughing at the same jokes is a form of "bonding"
Nah, mate. Hiking in the woods is a form of bonding. Talking about your day during dinner is a form of bonding. Building something together is bonding.
Sitting like trained seals, barking at all the same jokes, is not a form of bonding.
Robert Kelly
Loudness war is a meme, the main effect has been to cut down on dynamics within he song itself, it's mostly an increase in PERCEIVED volume as beyond a certain RMS the music begins to clip and break apart.
Add to that there are strict guidelines on the RMS on things like Radio/Spotify.

Haven't owned a television or cable in probably ten years. Why? Everything is on the internet for free. I don't pay for kikery.
I only see television when I go back to my parents house. Seems like there's no money anymore and it's all shitty reality shows.
I don't like some of the building shows tho. But yeah, television is dead and piss on it's grave.
Nathaniel Rivera
I haven't watched T.V since 2008 using only respected and/or unfiltered news outlets to learn about global and local news. Even going so far as to build my own personal gym to avoid the T.Vs placed in all my local gyms.
The seriousness of how controlled the media is only struck my a decade ago after reading up on the long lists of cover-ups by the governments, military and even police departments in smaller cases astounded me.
Adrian Ramirez
Modern music is also dead. I remember growing up just tons of bad ass rocks bands and rap acts on MTV. Then around 9/11 the entire entertainment industry was like we're going to kill cool music and only push nigger shit.
Think about it. Why hasn't there been a cool new rock band to get huge in the mainstream in the last ten years? Yet it's just an endless stream of dumb niggers with stupid names.
Nathan Long

You are the problem, Recording Engineer. Your industry has decided, rather arbitrarily, that every CD needs greater amplitude than the last one, under the idiotic notion "LOUDER=BETTER".
Loss of dymanic range is not a meme, it's a measurable and verifiable phenomona.
If you honestly can't hear the difference in dynamics and harmonics between a well-mastered 80's recording and its modern "remastered" version, then frankly, your ears are shit, mate. Find some A/B comparisons on Youtube.
No dynamic range is the equivalent of having a siren blaring in your ear non-stop. It's 100% unnatural, and tiring to endure.
Logan Rogers
Well, so does the internet.

A lot has changed since 2011
Grayson Reyes
you're right, it is garbage. i don't know how anyone can sit down and watch "shows" ... watching tv is like being mocked in your living room.

I just watch sports. Sports are really neutral as long as you focus on the sport and not the political storm behind it. Everything else is either just pure shit or politically correct and demonises white people. Sometimes both (Dear White People, Bill Nye's Gender Reassignment Program for SJW's and Pseudo intellectuals).
Wyatt Morris
You LITERALLY have no idea what you're talking about. It's not simply a matter of "turning it down".
Dylan Kelly
degenerate music of this generation rots your brain.
Saying music in general rots you're brain is just a dumb statement, music has had many different uses over our history, Rituals, Entertainment, and even fucking marching/rowing commands.
Music is something wonderful, but it has been flooded with nothing but degenerate ideologies.
Aaron Moore
The Isaac Arthur videos are way more interesting for an engineer then anything on tv I still watch documentaries if there is a good one
Luis Lopez
The difference is that the internet is a two-way communication mode which permits consensus-building. This basically forces people to be at a reasonable level of intelligence.
TV just yells at you and tells you what to think.
It's no wonder libshits are trying to turn the internet into TV 2.0, from mass-bannings for wrong opinions to the shutting down of messageboards on all media outlets. CNN, BBC, Guardian, MSNBC, NPR, etc., didn't all spontaneously decide messageboards were too expensive to run, all at once, all at the same time. There's a coordinated effort underway to cut off communication in the internet and stop consensus-building, as the prevailing consensus is building against them.
Dominic Rogers
jesus FUCKING christ stop posting you smooth brained dog
>all modern music is LOUDER=BETTER
this was only a problem like a decade ago when mastering engineers were literally destroying the music to make it louder
nowadays it's genre dependent on whether the music will be loud or not, an artistic choice. and again you can just turn it down if it's too loud you retard
>loss of dynamic range is a measurable phenom
yet you posted no sources or studies
>If you honestly can't hear the difference in dynamics and harmonics between a well-mastered 80's recording and its modern "remastered" version, then frankly, your ears are shit, mate
loled at the "harmonics", you have ZERO idea what you're talking about. low iq sophistry on pol is so fucking sad
>Find some A/B comparisons on Youtube.
you do realize youtube has its own loudness normalization algorithms and also has compression artifacting for its audio codecs? ergo listening to youtube music for analytical purposes is a shitbrained endeavor, like your post

I'm not arguing that it sounds better, just that the ill effects are a meme. You realize there is a limit to it as well right? Do you think stuff can just get louder and louder?
I bet you're one of those A432 faggots too.
Xavier Bailey
Fucking potheads.

TV is DEAD. Long dead. Cable is a total waste of money. Watching shows that are 60% of the time owned by Comcast (in some way or another) and watching hours of commercials.
Justin Richardson
I haven't watched television aside from the occasional series I'll torrent (which is rare to find something good), but my dad's a TVholic. Everytime I'm over there, we watch it together, and I know good and well why I stopped; it's so liberal, which is one thing, but it's also shit. Like, complete shit.

>I have not watched television since October 2011 as a result unless I was at someone's house and they were watching it. Doing that since about 2003.
>Who actually watches this shit ? People who don't play games I guess? Sure I "cheat" for having netflix when I say I don't watch tv. I still like to watch some series and movies, but the majority TV offers is pure crap.

>Television is simply a propaganda machine used to program the masses ? No. It's a place where advertisers rule the content making it as bland as possible not to offend anyone. It's the potentially offending stuff that makes people think. TV misses controversy and deep thoughts.
>TV and music rots your brain. Add "mainstream" and you might be right. I am not trying to be a hipster, but when something is made for the masses, it rarely provokes any kind of feeling just making you fee more numb.
Ian Myers

I only watch TV when I'm high, and it's good for keeping up with what the brainwashing agenda is currently.
Hunter Martin
>I noticed since then TV literally killed my character development and self confidence growing up adding confusion and a loss of identity.
This is the most interesting sentence in the thread.
For most people TV serves as a way of forming an identity. Sure it's a fake identity given out by the controllers, but most people are eager for this because otherwise they're lost in the wilderness and don't know who they are.
I hate TV as much as anyone else in here, but even I have to admit that the handful of series that I've watched in the last decade (Breaking Bad, Mr Robot, Daredevil) have served as means of relating to normies. And subconsciously they probably give me some kind of confidence in the system ("It's not ALL bad. There are productions that I can enjoy and talk about with people").
Of course it'd be better if it were destroyed. Maybe by some sort of maneuvering we can get Antifa to destroy TV stations.
The biggest problem with mass media (even when it is all "diversified" now with a thousand channels to cater to various contrived subgroups) is that it coerces viewers to play certain roles in society. Without this crutch, people have to think for themselves and figure out who they are.
You're also right that 90% of music prevents focus, even generally speaking. I don't care when it's from, '50s or '70s or '00s, if you're listening to a ton of popular music, you're not going to be able to focus in general in your life, not even during times when the music is turned off.
Isaac Collins

>George Carlin Most people don't even realize what George is talking about. Have you listed him as someone liberals are basing on?
Wyatt Hill
was that redpill too large for you to swallow cuck?
Lincoln Mitchell
The disrespect towards Carlin on here is baffling. He was one of the realest niggers on the planet. He was THE FIRST to piss on SJW bullshit in the mainstream. Listen to his material about feminism and then say he's a modern liberal.
Alexander James
George Carlin might have started out as a liberal like most people who went to public school, but take a look at his last three shows and see if you can spot the defense of feminism, socialists, safe spaces, politically correct language.
Seriously, just watch them. It'll be three hours of laughter even if you don't notice his perspective being remarkable Sup Forums.
Aiden Barnes
>The disrespect towards Carlin on here is baffling Didnt know that. Im kind of newfag. WTF Sup Forums? George gives lots of red pills actually. Lots of experience with drugs - he understands how things works in this fucken world and tells it in funny yet insightful way. My best George experience was watching him after 2CP. Guy was phenomenal most likely not to replace by anybody in the future.
Brayden Garcia
I haven't watched since early high school. I went to the movies view to watch Chinese cartoons but that's about it. I listen to mainstream normies at work tho.
David Price
We have some decent programs on tv and no commercials every 5 minutes but yeh, most of it is shit.
I tune in maybe a couple of a hours a week and most of it is either related to news, some documentaries and/or specific football matches (not handegg).
Jonathan Bennett
don't watched tv aside from boxing and mma and the commercials give me a real creepy vibe. also every American commercial has a celebrity in it.
Jaxson Robinson
Cancelled cable a long time ago. When I watch TV, it's pretty much a thinly veiled loop of happy merchant rubbing hands and trying to spoonfeed the good goyim propaganda. And it's only getting worse. Case in point, pic related.
Jaxson Barnes
he's a pontificating bore
Connor Morgan
I watch Fox News and some shit on the history channel
Landon Hill
This is a really bad idea. You will become completely unable to communicate with other people. They are all tuned in to get their wavelengths adjusted to the right frequency. If you tune out, you will lose all your friends, family, and everyone around you who watches the cable Jew. I'm telling you from experience, don't do it.
Grayson Martinez
Their media damages the brain. I stopped looking at their shit ages ago. No kike media allowed whatsoever.
Ryder Baker
Stop consuming and the red pills literally come by themselves. Brain damage is what it is, nothing else. A world of zombies too stupid to think for themselves or anything for that matter. Nothing of value will be lost.
Ethan Scott
Are you advicing the OP to watch TV just so he can find topics to talk about with his family and friends? XD I see what you did there.
Jack Anderson
I'm old enough to remember when TV wasn't so overtly political.
Now the politics are so heavy-handed it's hard not to be put off by it.
I haven't watched TV much either. I honestly find it boring compared to noodling around on the internet.

Are you retarded? They were literally playing baseball in the bombing scene from the movie Pearl Harbor.
Matthew Richardson
I would disagree on music. Just focus on non-degenerate peaceful/classical/instrumental stuff. For example:
Peter Schiff might be a kike, but he openly said on one of his broadcasts he supports his listeners to not support him if they dislike Jews because of their dishonest history. The dude isn't a Keynesian cuck.
Jace Powell
From what i gathered its not the volume of the music, but the lack of variance. Instead of having a besutifull melody with more dominants and less dominant sounds, fast and slow, melodic and just noise, you now only get noise
