>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Citizens'_Initiative This is the secret to defeating EU. If a million signatures from a quarter of European member states is reunited, a referendum of popular initiative can be submitted the the European Commission.
Before the internet this was almost impossible to reach, but now thanks to Sup Forums it can be done in a matter of weeks.
Here is my plan: >ARTICLE 50 INITIATIVE >After every major election in a European country, a mandatory referendum should be held nationwide about this country staying or leaving the EU.
If you have a better idea submit it of course. This is the only chance to save our nations Sup Forums.
First we must agree on which initiative to launch. "Article 50 initiative" is only an idea for the moment.

Italy was always at the forefront of political innovation. Berlusconi was the proto-Trump.

Keep in mind the initiative must be written in a way compatible with European Treaties and Lisbon Treaty articles. Otherwise it is canceled by the commission. Also, a minimum of 7 citzen must be reunited to form a comity organizing the initiative.
Citizens Initiatives aren't binding, dipshit. The Commission will see it but can decide to do with it whatever they want. They'll never pass this because they don't want to.

jesus fucking bump.
Jayden Richardson
Of course, but it costs nothing trying.
Also, if the initiative gather more than a million signatures it will be mediatised. Media will start panicking like when Brexit happened and it will create a Streisand effect towards the initiative.
Or so I think.
Jaxon Rodriguez
Perhaps they have the right to do it. But if leave wins and they just say fuck you, riots will break out.
Thinking of that, riots will breakout anyways so why dont meme this into reality for the slight Chance of winning?
Jordan Jackson
If you want a referendum just petition and lobby your national government. You'll have more luck there than with the EU Commission.
That's not how it works you illiterate child.
Leo Gomez
Keep i mind, the initiative must be written not in a "destroy the EU" way, but in a "regular exit referendums" way.
In the first case, if the Comission rejects the initiative, media will show it as if they saved Europe from chaos.
In the second case, if the Commission rejects the initiative, they will have denied citizens the right to decide by themselves, and therefore will loose credibility.
Xavier Howard
Popular initiative referendums don't exist in France, (and many other countries), this is why we must do it Europe-wide.

>they will have denied citizens the right to decide by themselves, and therefore will loose credibility.
They really won't, since if it passes, this'll go through the OLP and get discussed by the European Parliament and the Council, who'll both reject it because member states don't want it. They've seen just how bad leaving is for the UK, you can believe me that no member state will want to try the same shit.
At most, we get 1 million signatures. That's what, 0.2% of the population of the Union? That's fucking peanuts and in no way will there be any outrage if it's rejected, same with most other Initiatives that have been rejected. If your shithole has no referenda, lobby for it.
Ryder Thomas
Petitions have no legal value and lobbying can take decades to become effective.
What is you solution to save Europe?
Jordan Evans
Not breaking it apart and causing economic disaster, and wasting billions of euros holding referenda in every member state after general elections. Reform EU from within, vote for reformists in your general elections and actually vote in your EU elections, because the EU Parliament is very influential and carries a lot of power in the decision-making process.
David Myers
Stfu bitch and give me your money.
Landon Foster
If you are ready to spend the next two centuries lobbying, ok. Otherwise it starts here and now.
