DAILY REMINDER that ex-FBI Director Comey has not been held accountable for his role in the first ISIS attack on US soil.
Under Comey’s watch, an FBI agent went contacted convicted terrorist Elton Simpson through a Twitter PM and encouraged him to attack a “Draw Mohammed” contest in Garland, Texas. The FBI agent was so direct that Simpson told him to be careful discussing the plot over an unsecured chat because there were “spies” online. After the attack, Comey claimed FBI “agents did not have specific information that Simpson had targeted the meeting.”
On the day of the attack, the FBI agent, dressed in "Middle Eastern attire," accompanied the terrorists to the "Draw Mohammed” event. After the attack, Comey claimed the FBI “didn’t know” the terrorists “had traveled from Phoenix to Texas.”
As the terrorists approached the vehicle-entry checkpoint, the FBI agent took a cell photo of an unarmed convention center security official who was checking IDs at the entrance. Less than 30 seconds, the security guard was shot by the terrorists. The FBI did not reveal existence of the photo until forced to by a court nearly two years later.
The undercover agent fled the scene after the terrorists were gunned down by a SWAT team, but local police chased him down. While he was being questioned by the local police, the FBI suddenly swarmed the scene, stop the interview, put a hood over agent’s head, and took him away. The FBI then confiscated all CCTV video. The presence of the FBI agent at the scene of the attack was hidden from the public for over a year.
Comey claimed that the FBI was not able to stop the attack because Simpson was a “needle in a haystack,” and the agency had no idea an attack was imminent. In reality, the FBI even knew in advance who the first victim would be, and took a photo of the victim just before he came under fire.
This was not an ISIS terror attack, this was an FBI terror attack. Will Comey be held accountable?
