I remember reading some articles saying that Seth and his gf were on the phone before he died. His gf said he calmly told her that he needs to go and hung up. This could suggest that Seth didn't get initialy frightened and maybe even knew who those people are.

From 2000 to 2015 Maryland (and other jurisdictions) required fired cases to be surrendered when a legal transfer of a pistol occurred.
