From classical liberal or the american socialist liberal viewpoint?

Liberalism advocates for free trade and capitalism so it's completely opposed to Marxism. Boy, that was hard.

Liberals wouldn't like Marxism / Communism because they wouldn't get to live in mansions. Everyone would live in commie blocks.

Classic liberal

Well duh, but try writing 1500 words on it and making it sound interesting

I'm trying to argue that meritocracy is important for human nature, and the reason why Marxism doesn't work is because there's no meritocracy involved. A society won't function without people getting back what they put in. For example, people here in Australia on the dole (welfare) - if every man and his dog who had a job worked their ass off and got paid the same as people on the dole they'd be pretty fucking pissed (obviously) - society would fucking implode

"Why Marxism doesn't work."

You are a moron. The notions of Marx encompass a wide range of ideological beliefs. You can't merely dismiss all of his viewpoints in 1500 words.

Well, yes, I know. I didn't set myself the 1500 word limit, my professor did.

Marxism = everyone is equal, differences arise from class
Classic Liberal = everyone is legally equal, but people are not equal

Classic liberals would oppose it because they believe in maximising the freedoms of the individual instead of being a collectivist nigger.

Go read Hayek, Friedman, or Sowell. Road To Serfdom is an hour read that's pretty much your assignment.

Pretty red pill assignment. What uni?

Thanks!
Griffith University here in QLD, I actually chose the topic too. My professor set us a 1500 word limit and said we had to choose a political ideology and oppose it with another. I thought this topic would be interesting...

>1500 word essay
>(((Professor)))

This can't be real

HAHAHAH I know, I know

You've probably picked the easiest case to argue.

Just a word of warning: Marxism is hard to argue against because it means different things to different people. Theoretical Marxism is a lot different to it in practice. For example, theoretically Marxist countries should have no state or power heirarchy but in practice it's inevitable.

Communism or socialism are much better defined and you won't run into interpretation issues. Fascism is pretty much communism except it's easier to slander in academia without hurting their feelings.

Communism and socialism weren't part of my list of topics to choose from :( It was liberalism, Marxism, feminism, fascism or anarchism. I thought this would be easy/interesting.
I REALLY wanted to oppose feminism and put out there why it's absolute bull shit as I watched the Red Pill recently (GREAT movie, I'm actually a girl and it was amazing learning so much about men's rights, women really treat men like shit, I am so happy that I'm red pilled now), but the professor is left wing and my tutor is a feminist and I don't think that's the easiest way to get marks.

Definitely choose facism then. They'll love you bagging on toxic masculinity, white ethnonationalism, and authoritarianism.

Would, but already 1000 words in....

Also, you really can't refute classical feminism well in theory. The first wave or two weren't exactly bad but it's more modern/Marxist feminism that's toxic - and you'd definitely be butting heads with your tutor.

Yeah, that's the problem. Definitely don't want that.

Just watch the 1950's animated version of animal farm and regulate the Disney view of Stalinism.

Its like a 3 page essay it is super easy.

>Paragraph 1 Define Goal of Paper
>Paragraph 2 Define Marxism
>Paragraph 3 Brief summary of Leninism and Trotsky and their Idealism
>Paragraph 4 Introduce Stalinism
>Paragraph 5 Contrast Ideals vs. Practice
>Paragraph 6 Why Ideals are not plausible (i.e. no incentive for skilled labor).
>Paragraph 7 Summary

Done. Source I'm a Professor

John Locke did it in the 1700th century in 20 words.

>All mankind... being all equal and independent, no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty or possessions.

>the 1700th century
God damn, tell me what the future is like

The CIA sabotages it every time. The US will make literally hundreds of assassination attempts or start wars in which millions of people die before accepting a system that doesn't let Soros make shekels. We are about to turn DPRK into Syria because the Rothschilds aren't able to set up a central bank there.

Hey guys my parents are paying for me to learn help me with my homework

Marx wrote several poems detailing his love of Satan and his deep desire to destroy the world. You should start with those. Your teacher will stroke out.

Not to bad with the war and all. The Kingdom of Norway still holds the line against the Caliphate of Swedastan and the Sultan Sven al Swedi. The United Emirates of Dane has collapsed from fighting a two front war with us and the Islamic National Socialist of the of the German-Turkish Empire.
