Is Dan Carlin Hardcore History redpilled or cucked? Where can I find some real history? preferably podcast or audiobook form.

look up the podcast Martyr Made

half cucked. dan carlin doesn't go off the reservation when it comes to historical narratives, but he does a good job, especially the WW1 series. his contemporary politics podcast "common sense" is AIDS though

He's neither. He's a Libertarian centrist.

He's got no real political affiliation except normie.

His stuff is really good, but as he says, if you want historical pieces, use audible for audio books.

It's basically the same, but with less opinion and more citations.

I recommend The Rise And Fall Of The Thir Reich by Shriver. Like 50 hours long. Really good. Bit slow in the 2nd quarter as he goes through the assembling of the NASDP into a serious party (precisely the sort of stuff a podcast like HH would skip).

Really enjoy his podcast. There are free ones on iTunes that are worth the listen. I thought the one about the Spanish-American war was really good; it's a great place to start since it's a one parter

Carlin is a total lefty but he's classy and he is truly pro-free-speech

But you'll still get a huge leftwing bias in some cases

nah

Common Sense isn't bad. It's just completely normified and behind the curve. Not much of interest to a Sup Forumsack.

Nah what nigger

He's a cuck, listen to common sense and you'll see.

He had a huge bitch fit on twitter directed at Daryl Cooper wrt his the decline of the west podcast and an innocuous tweet about how maybe BLM shouldn't block ambulances from getting where they're needed.

jews running shit. making up muslim terrorists. do your research people. and behind the jews is satan. its real.

Well, he fell for the "Millennials are the worst generation eveeeeeer" meme so he can't be 100% in touch with the turn of events of the last several decades.

alright, fair enough. AIDS is an overstatement. I'm just always annoyed at his constant state of panic with each episode. and the stuff he's panicing about doesn't move the needle for me.

He's good at the history but his political opinions are cowardly middle of the road mush. He's a libertarian who constantly insults his own beliefs because he is afraid of pissing off his fans. The posturing gets old real fast.

The WW1 series is awesome, really painted the German empire in a new light compared to what (((they))) taught me in school

He did? Did he miss the previous generations driving the debt into cosmic territory basically damning the future?

that's the other thing that annoys me about him. you can tell sometimes that he's being a huge pussy and holding back his real opinion on current events. but all that said, you could do a lot worse in getting where you're political opinions.

aren't most millennials /poltard neetsocs?

>most
We're the outliers buddy.

It's odd because his parents are the "Silent Generation" and he himself is an early Gen Xer. So not sure why Baby Boomers are being given a pass.
Other way around? perhaps

Love the podcast. I disagree with a lot of what he says, but he knows his history and puts a lot of effort into each of his shows.

I tried listening to him, but couldn't.

He sounds like Gilbert Godfried and doesn't really tell a story. It's more like (in a dramatic voice) "the Assyirans... were just like...the Empire... in Star Wars...and they were really bad you guys... I couldn't even imagine..."

It goes on like that for a few hours and at the end you're no more knowledgeable about the events of the world than when you started. 2/10 desu.

Ok, now how about your REAL answer?

His series on the fall of the Roman republic was my introduction to him. Great stuff. The portion covering Marius and Sulla was best.

If you think that was a shitpost, go ahead and give him a try. I tried to save your time.

Look up the history of Rome podcast. 200 part series 20ish mins each. Super in depth look at the entire history of Rome, very red pilled. All of Sup Forums should listen to it.

Julius Caesar was a great man and the republic was full of libcucks.

JC was a liberal demagogue. Sulla should have put the gladius to him.

I've heart quite a few already including WE WUZ KHANZ and Blueprint for Armageddon, so I know what he's like.

Ww1 stuff is gold. The ostfront series is awesome too, it's about operation Barbarossa and the western front in ww2. The series about Rome was good but I loved his series about the Mongol empire.

A coworker and I invested in his entire collection and his 20 to 40 minute episodes about random things are good too

Politics is a bit leftist for me, however he does a good job about formulating his opinions. Don't agree with him but can respect him

Hardcore history is ok. His political podcast used to be ok, but he became totally cucked literally overnight. Paid off is my guess. He had a podcast on brexit and why it was driven by economics, then his next podcast, he walked that back, said his mommy told him it was all just racism and everybody's racist. I'm not making this up.

He was always a lefty, he's just very fucking sneaky and always says like "I'm not on anyone's side", and of course he was always antiracist as fuh

Also his mom was some minor celeb jewess in hollywood i think

ok not jewish but still

this guy gets his views from his hollywood parents.

This

He was a literal nobody when Sulla was occupying Rome. IIRC during the time he was still schooling with Cicero, being taught by Antonius

>It's a "Ben can't find Dan's pills" episode

...

Stop saying that he's libertarian. He absolutely is not. All of his ideas violate the non-aggression principle. He's a lefty cuck that favors a centralized authoritarian government.

Dan got a huge endowment from Jeff Bezos, who discovered him after seeing who was generating the greatest amount of Audible referrals.

You can tell when Dan got the paycheck. It was right before he attended that meeting in Washington.

More than a nobody. According to the story Caesar was brought before Sulla during the proscriptions and Sulla said to set him free but keep a close eye on him.

I think he's great. His WW1 series is one of the best things I've ever listened to.

I don't think he's that cucked. His episode on the City of Munster is probably one of the best cases against communism/socialism I've ever.

I like him. I just finished the Punic Wars. He does tend to get a little over excited and begins talking too loud though!

Didn't know about the Bezos thing, but it does make sense. His podcasts quality has really fallen off from the old ones and he posts way too infrequently. Now it seems like he's trying to turn his story-telling into something from a Zach Snyder script. Failz.

His levels suck, but they've gotten better, and he's all but eliminated ambient music, sound effects and voice modulation (Bubonic Nukes is embarrassing)
