Sup Forums, I'm confused. Why is it that two of your biggest memes have roots in thing you don't typically like?
For one thing, "Redpill", as I'm sure you know, refers to a scene from a movie produced by a company with "Weinstein" in its name and directed by (it would turn out) a pair of trans women, in which a black dude and a white lady on a ship named after a Babylonian king educate a white dude on how everything he knows is wrong.
And Pepe, well.
First off, even a rudimentary amount of research shows how he came to be a thing. Some board, I think Sup Forums, was posting Boy's Club pages, and they all decided the panel where Pepe says "feels good, man" was a hee-larious reaction image.
But do you remember what made the man's good feel? Peeing at a urinal with his pants around his ankles "like a little kid". Now, it's hard to tell with you people, but that's gotta be something you'd consider degenerate, right? Surely.
But, more than that, Pepe was Matt Furie's intellectual property. And you fellows didn't stop at reaction images, goodness no. You made him your own. You made him a symbol of your beliefs and emotions, even when the guy himself told you to cut it out.
You took somebody else's labor and turned it into profit while producing nothing in return.
Do you know what that is? Do you know what people call that?

Don't make me laugh, the origins of "pepe" come from the bachelor frog on Sup Forums several years ago which was all about doing disgusting shit like "fap into a sock / wear it anyways" kind of memes (pic related). These frogs were supposed to reflect the life of a bachelor male and the disgusting/funny stuff they go through. Soon a spin on it showed up, the bachelorette frog which was all about stuff like "go to sleep in white sheets /wake up in japanese flag" kind of memes, then it evolved into all kinds of other shit like the "feels good man" which was about stuff like "fart in public / feels good man" or other "degenerate" stuff like your urinal example. Then there was some sort of spin about an actual successful frog who didn't do disgusting shit and was just successful and shit.
After all that some guy drew a "Pepe" and claimed he has "intellectual property" over it. Kill yourself if you take someone like this seriously as you have 0 understanding of chan culture. Even in the off chance that this guy actually was the original creator of that specific image, when you just post in on a chan you are giving it out to the chan and relinquishing your "ownership" over it. The same way you and I just wrote our replies for free.
